Got there when it opened with 2 kids. We had $100 in gift cards their aunt got them as a gift. The manager Anna said she could not honor them because they did not have the right codes that would work for the system. The SkyZone website explicitly states that all SkyZone gift cards are honored at all locations. Said I could pay full price or leave. The kids had started jumping because of how long it took to resolve the issue and she said they needed to stop immediately. There is no way to escalate concerns with this company; only deal with the individual location. The way they treat their customers is disappointing and this doesn't even speak to all the negative reviews you see here on Yelp. Although the staff was nice everyone was extremely young. We didn't purchase a birthday package and I am happy I didn't waste my money on one. They sell food and I had a pretzel. I watched my grandson and other kids have so much fun for his birthday party! Covid protocol in place. Just a very cool place for my 8 year old grandson. I came here for my cousins birthday party. I have been to the Sky Zone in Raleigh a few times, and this was the first time to this one. My first thought after walking in was, "This place is ghetto AF." I mean, I wasn't sure what was going on with some of the walls, and panels on the ramps, but it appeared like they started to patch the seams a while ago, then gave up on it. Like when you are remodeling a house, and run out of money, but still live in it for the next 5 years without any more work. The most unprofessional thing was one of the team members walking around looking like he was Apollo Creed going to fight Rocky. I mean, he had on a hoodie pulled up over his head, and the sleeves cut off. I said to my cousin, "I didn't know Sky Zone had a bouncer." So we spent the next 5 minutes cracking jokes about the guy walking around looking like he was going to fight a child if they stepped out of line. Aside from that, if he was there to "supervise" and make sure it is a safe environment, having the hood pulled up blocked a lot of what he could see, which made him ineffective at his job, and created an unsafe atmosphere. Think about this, would you want your kids to go to a pool if the lifeguard had on blinders? Heck no, just like you don't want any safety personnel having anything that can obstruct their vision while they are supposed to be supervising children. Sky Zone Durham, do better, be professional, look professional if you want us to bring you business, and trust you with our children. Oh wait, you made us sign waivers saying we will not sue you if our kids get hurt while you are standing there 5 feet from them as you have something blocking your vision. The party room to me could have been brighter. Not all of the lights in the room were working. If you would please make sure all of the lights are working in the party rooms please, it would make it brighter, and give it more energy instead of making it drab. After I tried the pizza one of my cousins asked me how it was, and I said it tasted like "DiGiorno" frozen pizza. One slice it all I wanted to eat, and I am not going to say I wanted to finish that first slice. My other cousin said it "was just okay" and I didn't see her go for a second slice either, and she can eat. I think a bounce house is better than this particular Sky Zone. But I would rather drive past this Sky Zone, and go to the one in Raleigh if my kids were really desperate for Sky Zone, and I caved in. I have been to my share of jumping places, and bounce places, and I would rank this one on the bottom. Just because kids might be entertained doesn't count. If the parents experience is so bad, or the parents don't feel like their kids are in a responsible environment, or the parents hate the food, then the parents will not want to bring their kids to my kids birthday party. Then my kid will not have a good time because all of their friends didn't show. When that happens, my kid will cry and make my life miserable. So if the parents aren't happy, the kids aren't happy. I was not impressed with this jump park. It basically has 2 spots for the kids to either jump or jump into the foam squares. There is no obstacle course, like other jump parks. There is no place for kids to put their shoes, so parents had shoes on the tables people eat on. There is no AC, except in the bathrooms. And don't get me started on the bathrooms! We put quarters in to play the air hockey(sign says "play at your own risk we do not refund money") because I'm pretty sure they know it doesn't work, and won't put an out of order sign up. $16 for each kid to jump for an hour(and we brought our socks), where other jump parks charge half that price! Sky Zone is located near North Gate Mall, which isn't the best or most exciting area of town, but they offer plenty of parking and fun for the entire family. With arcade games, concessions and multiple jumping areas, including a foam pit, two separate dodgeball areas, three jumping basketball hoops and two separate straight jump areas. We arrived a little after ten and joined the 10:30-11:30a group. Groups begin are very 15 minutes and you/your kids will have large stickers showing your time so that the monitors can kick you out once your time is up. Speaking of monitors, they're very alert on the floor and I really respect the way the interacted with patrons. It can't be an easy job but they were very active in making sure little kids don't get trampled and people stay in appropriate areas. Make sure to check out their website for daily deals and times, Wednesdays are 1/2 off jumping and the "Go Play Save" coupon book offers several deals. This is an awesome place to take kids to burn calories, energy, & have a lot of fun. I believe I even saw several adults sneaking in some of the fun too. Plenty of parking, easy to find, it sits at the end of a strip mall. I took my kids when they first opened, I took a fellow yelpers advice, which is a must and highly recommend. If you wait later the place fills up very quickly and the kids will loose time waiting in lines. Once entering we were greeted promptly with friendly energy driven young adults. I had pre-purchased tickets on Groupon which save a ton a money (highly recommend also), take time to fill out and print the waiver form too. Checking in was a breeze and all I had to do was purchase three sets of socks which were $1 each. I took my 8, 11, & 14 yr olds, they did the 120 minute Sky Zone time. Wow did they have a blast!!! From slam dunking basketballs, playing dodgeball, jumping in the foam pit, and jumping around being playful/funny kids....they did it all. Staff was walking around and at each play station was being supervised, no complaints at all. They were doing an awesome job! The place smelt clean and upkeep was good. Bathrooms were very clean. They also have a small snack bar, arcade room, several birthday party rooms, a few tables and benches to sit on. I did not explore those areas so I can't give you a detailed review on those. All in all my kids had a blast and look forward to coming back. I highly recommend the 120 minute purchase, that gives your child plenty of time to do everything, explore different activities, and burn energy!!! I take my 11 year old son to the sky zone in Durham NC. Saturday will never happen again. Glow night. Great idea. Parents dropping off their hell raisers not, so much. Unattended kids were not following rules and staff didn't bother to stop them. I witnessed 3 fights that other kids broke up. When number 4 was about to pop off, close to closing looked like it was going to be worse than the last 3, I left early to make sure we wouldn't get caught in the mess. The facility is decent, but dated. It appears to be well-maintained and safe. With that said, it tends to be extremely busy and the staff is largely ineffective at managing the crowd. In several visits of more than an hour, I've seen only few staff members actively working to maintain any level or organization and/or safety. I realize it's probably an impossible task, but effort is lacking. There's no use in a hall monitor lacking the willingness to act. With all of that in mind, pick a weekday to visit and avoid the chaos. Your kids will likely love it regardless. read more

Smaller than another trampoline place in the area, and doesn't have as much variety. There's the trampolines, a foam pit, dodgeball area (chained off for some reason), and three basketball hoops. They make you buy their disposable grippy socks that are very low quality and don't stay on. I can't imagine the amount of waste they generate every day. The music is deafening, impossible to have a conversation. The staff has good presence, ensures that the rules are followed and no one gets trampled in the pit. Probably not a bad place to bring a kid, but being an adult I prefer Defy Gravity with their bigger area and the obstacle course. read more

A$$holes work here! My son was in the foam pit, he was putting ONE foam square back into the pit. The dude "watching" the kids yells at him " I said stop taking the foam out". My son who is 11 turns around and explains to he was not. Saw the same employee in the dodge ball area and he hit the same teenage girl twice. Let's just say we will never forget my son's sixth birthday. After spending quite a large amount of money we booked his party at sky zone. Considering we'd never hosted a birthday party there before I tried to call just a week prior to the party to schedule and plan with the "party host" and was told it wasn't necessary and I'd be getting a call in a few days. I never got a call. As we arrived for my son's party, check in was chaotic to the point I had to get most of the socks for party guests myself along with other mothers helping themselves due to staff being so busy. We found our way to our "private jump area" we'd rented with the party only to find it being used by another family who proceeded to argue with us about it being "their area". After getting help resolving that issue, we had only a few minutes left for our "reserved time" which was a joke and on the first jump a guest shattered two bones in her leg. Literally the ambulance came, and that was noones fault. We relocated to the foam zone with the children only to find it shut down due to someone using the restroom in it. We stood around for an hour waiting for our party room upstairs, when we got in the room it was FILTHY. Literally other birthday party cake everywhere- I was humiliated and tried to get party guests to just go home but they insisted on still carrying on for my son. After the party I realized all of my add ons- birthday goody bags and even my fruit & vegetable tray we purchased were held in another area and never passed out. I've taken babysitting charges to both Sky Zone and Defygravity, and can attest that these are just as much fun for the adult chaperones as for the kids. Good exercise, too. BUT, if we're comparing - I liked Defygravity more. It's true that they don't give you orange souvenir socks with sticky pads on the bottom, but they have an obstacle course and a dodgeball court, which scored big points with the kids. I think they may actually be a bit cheaper, as well. Either way, you can't go wrong with an hour spent leaping across a room full of trampolines. Go for it. read more

Went for a 7 year old's birthday party in early October '15. There was a little mix up, and I needed a refund for $25. The cashier processed it, but I noticed a week later it hadn't gone through. I called and spoke with Elizabeth Anglin who tracked down the original transaction, refunded my money, and kept me in the loop via email! I was impressed with her professionalism. I scheduled a birthday party here for my son. We purchased a 10 kid package, with shirts and socks. We paid $40 to bring outside food. Two days before my son's party we got a call stating that the charge for outside food was not included in what we paid and we needed to pay additional money if we wanted to bring food .We had a budget so we were not able to pay additional funds due to other party expenses...We had no other choice but to cancel the party. The lady argued us down that we were not told these items were included (as an add on) because we just got the "Standard Package with no add on's. She stated WE HAD NO ADDITIONAL ADD ONS, which we clearly discussed with the gentleman who helped us the day we went there to pay. She says he wasn't a party coordinator and he misinformed us. We did purchase the standard 10 kid glow party,socks and outside food. Due to the it being outside of the 14 day cancellation we were not able to get a cash refund but instead refunded our $137.50 deposit via gift card. When we picked up the gift card a copy of our receipt and everything we paid for was listed. Our entire total was 315.00. We had in fact paid for 1 60 minute glow standard party,THE PACKAGE,SOCKS,3 PIZZA'S and OUTSIDE FOOD! My 7 year old son was crushed!!!!! The worker who called was RUDE, called us a liar and caused us to have to cancel my child's party just 2 days before and to top it all off we had paid for everything!!! I think Mia went out of her way to annoy me. She was rude, assumed only my children were jumping and only printed tickets for them even though I filled out a waiver for all of us (even though it's billed as a place for kids and adults), and when I brought it to her attention, she only printed my ticket for 30 minutes when both my kids were for an hour. I didn't realize until I left the counter and had to re-wait in line to get it fixed and all she did was write on it with a marker which doesn't instill any confidence... anyone could do that and if the jumping is timed, I didn't want anyone hassling me for thinking I wrote on my own ticket to extend my time. I was so frustrated by that point that I just left. I should have gotten a refund, but I was just ready to be done. We were excited to come, but I don't think we'll be back. No one explains anything. So I just sort of stumbled upon and made the connection that skyzone was super close to where I live. I was curious to check it out. The roomie and I thought we would go check it out. We were greeted upon entry but the young lady at the counter talked so fast that she made it hard to understand what she was saying. After signing our waivers and deciding if we wanted to pay for a 30 or a 60 minute session we were on our way. I was surprised that the girl at the counter offered to give is a quarter to pay for our locker rental. I kind of wish someone would have taken the time to give us a little tour. We opted for 30 mins and boy am I thankful for that decision! Jumping around was quite the workout!! I was very much disappointed by the pit however-it was really tough to get out of, so I only jumped in once. Why not have a ladder or a rope or something to assist w the climb out of the pit!? I would consider coming back in the mornings before work for an amazing cardio work out-I guess I will look into what times the sky aerobics are offered and see if it will fit into my craY schedule. read more

Worst skyzone ever. You'll be lucky if you are only assaulted by other guests at this "business". The 16 year olds that are left in charge since the franchisees are basically absent and clueless are going to ensure it's closure one day. Hopefully the Durham Police Department or Sheriff Department will be close enough to prevent anyone from getting killed there. Unsafe environment run by untrained children. Save your money and take your kids ANYWHERE else. Or just make sure to wear Kevlar vests and dress your children in the same. In order to compete with other trampoline parks I believe they should add the following: - allow one parent to jump with the kid. This was my first time visiting this sky zone location and I was very impressed. The staff greeted you with a smile upon entry. The facility was impeccably clean, didn't have that dirty sock smell many other trampoline places have had that I've visited. The place is nice and space and big. My daughter did the glow jump which I'd never experienced before either so that was different and fun. In fact myself my cousin and my aunt all decided to jump too! And the staff that were near the different sections were helpful as well. Helped me out of those big squares we jump in lol... overall great, fun experience.
