Items for project. Great pricing when compared to other local suppliers and online retailers.
    Scott W.

It has been a while since I've been to Skycraft. The last time I was here was when they were at their old location on Fairbanks Avenue. I was in a pickle with a DYI project at the house and needed male and female 5.5 X 2.1 connectors, and 40' of 18/2 wire for a 12-volt DC circuit. I happened to be working on this project the week between Christmas and New Year's. I couldn't find a local supplier or an online retailer who had these items readily available for next day pickup, and that's when I reached out to Skycraft for help. Skycraft's online site showed the inventory was available, and when I called the following morning to verify, the staff member informed me; yes, these parts were in stock. I would love to give Skycraft 5-stars; however, I cannot for this review. If you are new to Skycraft, please know that they are a "self-service surplus," which means you are essentially on your own when shopping for your items. This place is a giant warehouse with many isles and rows which are not labeled like you would find at an ACE, HD, or Lowes. Yes, staff do help as needed, but you will not get the same customer service you will find at some of the bigger supply outlets. I had no idea where these items were hidden, and I had to ask for help three times because the associate would drop me off in front of what I needed then haul ass before asking me if I needed anything else. The mix of temperaments I experienced was off-putting. The Gal on the phone was great; the woman working the register was discombobulated and didn't want to deal with me at first, but was super friendly when I was checking out; one of the male associates in the back was irate about something and got even more pissed when a call came in for him, but the cashier did not transfer the call through; and the gentleman assisting me with finding my items was in a shit mood because the last two years have been terrible. No offense my man, but the last two years have been horrible for everyone including me, but I'm not projecting my negativity on you. Regardless of my experience, I highly recommend coming here if you are an avid DYI'er. Skycraft has just about anything you need to get the job done, and at a more affordable cost when compared to the big box stores and online suppliers.

We go to this place a couple of times a month when my bf needs a random wing it or bolt or something man related lol. The cool thing about it is that there is something for everyone. You can get car parts, boat materials, energy drinks, and supplies for camping. They literally have it all. Since they've moved to this location, there is a lot more space than when they were located in Winter Park. The parking lot is huge and easy to navigate. Everything is inexpensive and clearly priced, and it's never crowded. We prefer coming here instead of big brand places like autozone or ace hardware.

Skycraft's saved my life on so many projects I don't even know where to begin and you can get small hardware bits and electrical baubles piecemeal unlike the chains. New, used, refurbished, and repurposed stuff for just about every project you can imagine. I wouldn't be surprised if they have everything you need to build a particle accelerator or make a cold fusion reactor up in there - you'all gonna make me lose my mind!! Perfect shopping grounds for every inventor, engineer, electrician, audiophile, tradesperson, DIYer, dreamer, doer, creatives; anybody looking for ideas or bits to fix or solve a problem. For those of you not in the know, think Radio Shack, Ace Hardware, Surplus, and something of Harbor Freight but so much more!!! I'm so overwhelmed, I almost forgot to say anything about customer service. Everyone's always very helpful. I Love you Skycraft Lol

What do you need? Yes they have it. I personally enjoy going here just to look around. 90% of the time I don't need anything, I just find it so interesting to see all of the random stuff they have. Any size screw? Check. Need wire of chains? Check. How about a metal detector, diamond plate metal? Used life jacket from the Bahamas? Check check check check. I would say that this store is most beneficial for people working on projects and in need of parts for work. From piping to electrical, I'm sure they have whatever you need It's interesting looking around. It gave me ideas for some small projects I might begin as a hobby. But also it's quite fascinating to see the artifacts hanging from the ceiling. Anti-tank missiles, and RC boats. It really is interesting.

I purchased a Weber grill and wanted the free setup and delivery that comes with an Ace Rewards membership. The app stated I needed to choose the Conway location for delivery. On Monday, I was contacted by John to schedule the delivery. I was provided various time periods and I selected the 2-4pm slot. Around 2:30pm, Justin arrived and provided 5-star delivery service. Not only did he deliver the grill off the truck and to my garage, but he also asked if I wanted him to install the propane tank to the grill. He demonstrated various other parts of the grill such as the match lighting attachment (if ever needed) and the knob in the back that holds the propane tank in place. Justin turned on the burners and recommended I complete a one-time burn off of any residue from the manufacturing oils, preventing them from flavoring the food when using the grill for the first time. He went above and beyond in my opinion as part of the delivery process. The Conway Toole's is lucky to have him! Based on my experiences with both the Orange Avenue and Conway locations, I can say Toole management knows how to hire qualified and exceptional team members. Their business practices support my belief that Toole's is so much better than those big box hardware stores when it comes to customer satisfaction.

I was put on hold and they never came back in the line... I called again and spoke to a woman who claimed she was the store manager.. who basically told me broken or not, it doesn't matter I'd still had to pay $200+ for another one and that it's just wear and tear... (meaning every year I'd have to buy another one based on how poorly they were made considering how overpriced it was). She mentioned that I could also take a risk by buying it on Amazon but that they only reprogrammed their keys only. No help. Shit service and poor client retention skills!!! They need to do better!

Yesterday (8/13) at around 4:15PM I bought a transformer from the store. Cost me $34. Unfortunately, it did not fit in the space I have. I took the item back today at around 12:00PM (8/14) with my receipt. I was told I could NOT get a refund for my item, even though I had my receipt. She didn't even open the box to check the item (I had repacked it the way it was sold to me). She asked her supervisor, and the supervisor also said no refund. The cashier told me there were no refunds on electrical items. I was not warned about this by the cashier when I bought the item. I was flabbergasted. I like to support local businesses, but that support only led this local business to spit back into my face. I will never use this Ace Hardware again. We will now make sure to go to the big box stores to guarantee we get a refund if something doesn't work, especially within the first 24 hours. I actually left the transformer with the cashier because I can't use it, and maybe someone else looking for one will be able to. I hope keeping my $34 was worth it to never have my business again.
