Instead, the jacket was handed to me like a plastic grocery bag--no hanger, no garment bag, no protective covering whatsoever. I even had to ask for a hanger, which should be a basic courtesy for an item of this price and quality. I also had to ask the associate to confirm the personalization and inquire about any warranty because none of that information was offered. The representative provided no assistance, no explanation, and no sign of basic customer service. Gable's may be known primarily for selling guns, but you also sell team merchandise--and customers purchasing those items deserve the same respect and care. My letter jacket cost as much as, if not more than, some of the firearms on your shelves, yet the service didn't reflect that. Based on my experience, I think parents and athletes from area high schools should consider taking their letter jacket business elsewhere. It truly doesn't feel like Gable's values us as customers. Judging from some of the others reviews, I'm not the only one who's had the pleasure ... ahem ... of dealing with this guy. I have an Sig P365 xMacro. Nice EDC pistol except for the trigger. Bought an MCarbo trigger on-line but I no longer have the manual dexterity to do detailed gun work so I took it to Tru Prep. The gunsmith says, I hate working on those and don't want to do it. Fine, I thought, I'll just go somewhere else. But then he follows that with, I'd have to charge you an arm and a leg to do it. I asked how much is an arm and a leg in dollars. Hundred bucks. Sheesh. But I need it done so I said, proceed. How long will it take? A week, he says. Two weeks go by and I haven't heard from him. I call the store. He's not there but Amy, he's be of their awesome employees, offers to email the gunsmith right away. I simply want to know when my pistol will be ready. No response from the gunsmith. I call the shop last week and manage to get him on the phone. When will my pistol be ready? This week, he says. I wait until today, Sunday. I go in and he's got an attitude (how DARE I expect him to meet his commitment, right?). I merely said, I'm here to pick up my pistol. No apology whatsoever, the guy just hands it back. Three weeks and I still don't have my trigger installed. Would I recommend this place for gunsmithing work? Am I allowed to say HELL NO! on Yelp? Again, the store itself is staffed by nice people. My problem is with the arrogant, undependable gunsmith. Unfortunately there's not a way to post a review about him without dinging the store as well. However, perhaps the owner will see this negative review and realize he's got a problem employee who's reflecting poorly on the place as a whole.

I headed that way and when I got there, it just seemed like a bunch of kids working. No hello, no nothing. I get to them who never asked if I needed help and they are just staring at me. I explained what I needed (taking off a spring clip) and was told "We don't have that tool. Go to Gables". Gables is actually an amazing place and the guys are awesome so I don't know why I didn't go there in the first place. So I left. A couple weeks later, I went back to Stoddards for some range time since Gables doesn't have a range. Once again, no hello, no how can we help you, nothing. I ask the guy about renting a range just so I could site in a red dot and he goes to someone else then comes back and says "We aren't taking anymore shooters". It was only 1:30pm. Now it was Christmas Eve and they were closing at 4 I think but there were empty lanes and it was only 1:30pm. The staff just looks like a bunch of kids who don't care about what you want, they just don't wNt to do anything that requires energy. If you need an amazing gun store or gun smith, go to Gables Sporting Goods in Douglasville. If you are looking for a range, go to Governors in Hiram or The Pit in Villa Rica (contact through Instagram). It's a shame cuz the Atlanta location is so nice and friendly. This place isn't worth your time.
