If you want the best views of the island I can't recommend Skydive Galveston enough! I did the 14,000' jump and it was magical. I can't shut up about it and as such have found out even locals don't know this exists on the island! You'll fly out of Scholes in an adorable red Cessna, enjoy the flight past the ship channel, take a right to take in the entireisland view, and before you know it, the real magic begins. The team is fantastic and will make sure you have the time of your life before peacefully setting down on the soft sand at Pocket Park 1 by Woody's. Pro (amateur!) tip: buy alllll the pix/video. You won't regret it - freefall goes so quickly it is a blur by the next day & watching the video will bring it right back! Tip two - have cash on hand tip tip your diver!! They have specials on their website and Groupon. To the amazing team at Skydive Galveston - y'all need merch!!! I'd 100% have bought a shirt, hoodie, cap, etc! To all the scaredy-cats.. I am afraid of heights (to some, natural extent) but this is different- the entire thing was incredibly peaceful, from takeoff to landing. Very disappointed in the professionalism of this company the first time we drove 3 hours only 20 minutes before we were ready jump they sent us a text message letting us know that everything had been canceled cuz the plane was in the shop they knew the plane was in the shop that morning they could have called us before then so we drove 3 hours again a couple of weekends later only to arrive at the airport for someone else to tell us that everyone had gone home and we were on time now I can't get my money back cuz I can't get anyone to answer me via text or phone call would not recommend this company at all read more

BEWARE! This company has great reviews. However, apparently something or someone has changed in running this business. Our daughter and I booked a jump together to celebrate her 40th birthday. Day before our first try, they texted her to say they were short an instructor. We did not want to have separate times so rescheduled for this morning at 9 am. We drove from Sugar Land and Houston. Show up, door is locked. Airport employees actually shared that Skydive Galveston has not been opened for at least two weeks. Daughter called and sent text and still hasn't received any response. Her boyfriend had gifted this to us so now he has to deal with Groupon for a refund. Not good business practice. read more

I booked a skydive with this company through Groupon for my birthday, I live in Austin Texas so I drove 4 hours away I requested time off from work and slotted the day for celebrating me, only to have them cancel on me because I was jumping alone. They explicitly told me they wouldn't honor my booking that day because they wouldn't make any money off a single jumper. If a company accepts a booking, they should honor it. Canceling on a customer at the last minute just to maximize their profit margins is incredibly unprofessional and greedy. They clearly care more about packing the plane to capacity than honoring their commitments to paying customers. Take your business elsewhere to a company that actually respects its clients.The only issue is they are one of the only companies jumping in Galveston, I wouldn't recommended to anyone wanting to experience a one in a lifetime event alone unless you want them to reject you. read more

What the what?!? A cousin brought up skydiving last year, on the family vacation and this year, we signed up. Lee was phenomenal and made me feel completely at ease with my first jump. Open communication, lots of enthusiasm and just an all over good time! We arrived a tad bit early and he was on it, got us situated and pumped for the drop. Lindsey, our driver and ground person was super friendly and personable. Hung out with us while the rest of the group jumped and she made the wait just as good as the jump! Top notch! Simon and lee were very professional talked us through and explained in detail every moment of jump and the events leading up to it. Really made me feel better with the professionalism that they have in their job. They explain everything in great detail for you to have the most amazing fall and glide from 14,000 ft. My husband and I had an amazing time skydiving with Simon and Lee! This was our very first time jumping out of an airplane, so we had absolutely no idea what to do or expect. They explained everything to us and made us feel 100% comfortable before and during our jump. I was fully expecting to go into panic mode, but having them so confident in their job was comforting....especially since we were about to jump out of a freaking plane! It was my husbands birthday and they even sang Happy Birthday to him in the plane on the way up. My favorite part was leaving the plane and the freefall. It was SUCH a rush! It was my first time sky diving and the team made me feel at ease. Jake was great and made the whole jump a fun, exciting experience. They jump with a limited number of jumpers and jumps so you don't feel rushed during the process. The location is amazing. Getting to jump over the Gulf and land on the beach has to be a very unique sky diving experience and was awesome. I can not say enough about Sky Dive Galveston. AMAZING!!! My friend actually surprised me with this, we were scheduled to jump on Sunday 27 May, 2018 but due to weather we rescheduled to the next day. I felt pretty good about jumping with these instructors they kept us reassured and what we were waiting for because of clouds. Hilarious guys!!! I wasn't too afraid of jumping because I knew these people wouldn't risk their own lives lol. Donny was my instructor, I told him assume I know NOTHING lol he walked me through everything, made sure everything was secure several times, made me laugh which was what I needed. Wish I could leave a zero star, but 1 was as low as it will let me leave! Booked a small group to jump for my daughters 18th birthday in September, 6 months away, and they inform me a few weeks later that they are closing up shop but I can go jump with Houston...I don't want to jump in Houston, I paid for a beach jump in Galveston!!! Now their phone is disconnected, they won't answer my emails, & they've already taken my money....I'm glad some of you people have had luck using Skydive Galveston, but if I could ever get my hands on those CROOKS the Lord himself couldn't help them to ever walk straight again!!! Also, Houston Skydiving was no help either...they claim to not have our money either & don't have any contact information at all!!! O well, looks like Texas wins again, that's why we're just going to Florida....nicer beaches too! read more

I feel terrible giving this company a terrible review but my story is this: I gave my wife what I thought was the coolest gift ever - a jump from a perfectly good airplane. Tammy was so helpful but did not tell me that once I bought the gift certificate I could not get my money back. In the meantime my wife's health has gotten to the point where she feels she cannot do this as much as she wishes she could. The company refuses to acknowledge that issue by suggesting that we give it to someone else. There is no one. I am so sorry to slam a company that obviously gives so much joy and wish with all my heart that my wife could have gone. To those that are thinking of jumping, do not pay till you are ready to go.
