I walked in, got in line, was asked to sign "my life away", paid my fees (I chose to upgrade my altitude and had video service), and sat down to watch the 30 mins video about skydiving. Then, my group and I went outside to do the basic steps when you go skydiving, such as curve your body up while you are in the air and blah blah blah. Please remember that the instructor will do all of your works and you will just need to relax and to enjoy the thrill. The wait time is like around 2-3 hours if you aren't the first chosen group. Then, the instructor called my name eventually, helped me get my skydiving gear on, and started filming me. We got on the airplane first. Of course, it wasn't a fancy one and the space was a bit cramped. Was I scared? Nervous? I didn't think much until the plane's door was opened for the solo skydivers to go first. I heard the wind roaring at 13,500 ft and immediately freaked out. The way to go home was never so far away.... Anyway, I seriously freaked out more when we were the last ones to skydive. It happened so fast. That moment when i dangled on that plane definitely scared me to death. After the instructor prompted you to jump, everything happened quickly. Yes, you will feel a bit squeal in your stomach, but if you look ahead (and not look down), the horizon was indeed beautiful. Be careful when the parachute would open because I almost felt like my neck was snapped in half because of the strong impact. At the end, my instructor and I just enjoyed the view from above as we slowly made our descend. I waited for about 20 mins until I received my DVD. Yayyyyy! I also got a certificate verifying that I indeed made the ultimate jump of my life. You should try it if you are a big fan of thrill and adrenaline. read more

They do an excellent job of making you feel comfortable and are excited for you to having this experience. So I surprised my husband to go skydiving on our two year anniversary. I have to definitely tip my hat to this place. They are so nice when you walk in the door, very sweet and attentive. Absolutely incredible in every aspect! My brother and I did tandem jumps yesterday evening, and we had an absolute blast and want to go back! First of all, do the higher elevation jump (13,500ft instead of 10,000 for double the free fall time)! Only $25 more and beyond worth it! We did indoor skydiving last year, and all of the instructors there recommended Skydive Snohomish and said it was their all-time favorite jump location. Well, I can see why! The views are breathtaking, and you even get to take them in on the plane ride up! Upon jumping, you have a 360 view of the Cascades, Olympics, lakes and more. Once you get there, the process is so simple. There's a straightforward 30 minute class then you meet the person who's jumping with you or you can stay entertained with the games they have available outside, sit on couches or watch others land. Once you meet your instructor and it's time to get ready, they take care of literally everything and harness you up. Even the plane ride up was fun! The energy is pure excitement. Your person makes sure you're safe and everything is taken care of, and they go over the simple (extremely simple!) steps one more time to make sure you've got it down. If you added a video or pictures, they also make sure the whole experience is documented. Nothing I can say will do the jump justice, and you'll understand once you're up there. I felt so safe the entire time, and I don't think there was a moment throughout the experience when I wasn't smiling. Jared was who I was with, and my brother was with Bill (BK). I want to thank NIKITA for the most exciting ride of my life!!! I can not put into words how much I loved tandem skydiving! We were celebrating my daughter, PIPER'S 25th Birthday, and NIKITA and Skydive Snohomish could not have been more accommodating! To have the unequaled opportunity to float over in my parachute to meet my son, TYLER'S parachute at 5000? Feet altitude, just to say hi, was something that I will NEVER forget!!! Instructors went out of their way to tape this as well, something they did not have to do! Also, going on a weekday, they discounted the personalized video and pictures from $90 to $65.I thought it would just be a personal picture of me at some point on my adventure, similar to what they do at Disneyland. This was an actual video from the moment of introduction to my tandem instructor to receiving my certificate of completion of a 13,500-foot jump! To say I paid ONLY $65 for the entire video and pictures is embarrassing. They wore an action video camera on the wrist and tape you the entire time. They also give you an educational preview of what you're going to experience and how best to get the most out of your video experience! They ask you if you're excited? how do you feel about jumping out of an airplane at 13,500 feet and go on repeatedly ask time-appropriate questions during each part of the experience! I don't see how they make any money!NIKITA told me that he has been with Skydive Snohomish for 15 of its 70+ years in business, having jumped thousands of times and skydiving doesn't hold the excitement that it did in the beginning. He said what holds the tandem instructors to the sport Is the joy and spontaneous reactions of all the new participants! He said it NEVER gets old! They also have a very comfortable observation area for Family and friends. My 81-year-young mother, ANNIE, was able to sit on a very comfortable Adirondack rocking chair in the shade with a bottle of water and view the entire experience! If you're going to do this - you need to make sure that you go to the very best place and if you're reading this, look no further. Skydive Snohomish was the best decision. I can't even tell you how scared I am of heights but how much I really wanted to do this. From the moment i walked into the building I felt like I was going to vomit from nervousness. Here is how it works: 1. Walk in and make sure all payment is complete. 2. Sign waivers 3. Wait in the seating area until you group is ready to begin your short training. 4. Watch a quick video explaining what you need to do while in the sky (keeping your arms out in front/ bending your back/etc... 5. You then repeat what you saw in the video in front of an instructor. 6. Then you are taken outside where you will gear up! 7. Then wait your turn to get into the airplane. FYI when you get in the airplane - the load from the back forward so the last person in will be the first out (that was me because i knew that if I didn't go first I might chicken out). Also the person in the front will help the instructor open the door of the airplane. Even though that was not exactly what i wanted to do at the time, looking back it was pretty cool so I'd recommend it! Also after the last person jumps out of the airplane the plane tries to beat the jumpers to the ground. It pretty much does a complete nose dive down which is really cool to see from the sky. This is a beautiful place to jump from. We went on a clear day and were able to see Seattle/Bellvue - Mt Rainer/Mt Baker and even Mt Hood in the distance along with ALL the islands! The jump itself was actually not that scary because you don't get that feeling of falling. Your stomach doesn't drop. The falling part really just feels like your standing in front of a huge fan.. lol and you're so high up that the whole time it doesn't look like your getting any closer to the ground. Your just at some standstill with wind blowing in your face. Vlad was my instructor and he knew I was so scared - but he had such a positive attitude and was trying to make me laugh the whole time! I really had such a great experience because he was so calming. Still super worth it! It's hard to explain you just need to do it!! We paid about 300$ each and that was inclusive of the video footage. read more

Like a lot of people, this was on our bucket list. We got lucky when we booked our dive on Halloween. It had been a wet October, but the last day of the month (and the last jump before they close for the winter months of November and December) turned out to be perfect - chilly up in the sky, but the sun was out! We booked the 1:30 pm jump with the extra 30 second free fall, video and photos. You check in a half hour prior to your scheduled jump and Max at the front desk who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. They start you off in short class where you watch the video (and get that adrenaline pumping), a short tutorial on the basics - smile for the camera, arch position when free falling and legs up for landing. Next step was to get you in a jumpsuit (most of the divers that day wore costumes so they already had onesies on! Halloween, right?) and strap you up for the tandem jump. We got paired with Vlad and Mike - extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient and funny! The best part for me was the free fall even if your face gets distorted (you'll have photos to prove it, too) - definitely add that extra 30 seconds because it is worth it. Gliding with a parachute was such a peaceful experience. You can't hear anything up there, so you just take it all in - the wind in your face, the beauty of the blue skies and everything below your feet. The scariest part? Jumping out of the plane... Mike, my instructor was extremely caring and made sure I knew he had my back (literally). They present you with a certificate and a souvenir at the end. Next time you think about jumping out of a plane, DO IT. Better yet, do it at Skydive Snohomish, and if you're lucky, you'll get Vlad and Mike! read more

Incredible team and overall setup, had such a blast coming here for our first skydive. Skydive Snohomish does a great job of relaxing any anxiety you have. My wife and I came here today for her birthday and we decided to opt in for the extra altitude for $25 each and what an exhilarating experience. Vlad and Scott were our tandem instructors and they were both magnificent. They did an amazing job connecting with us both and with video and capturing us together and separately, the video is well worth the $90 each. Vlad and Scott also did an awesome job with instructions as well as calming any jitters we had by keeping us well informed. The layout and experience from check in to take off and landing is amazing. Sorry to start off on a down note, but on the day that I jumped, I heard the first-hand account of somebody that witnessed a jump that went bad...but here's the thing: you are more likely to go in a car crash; right? For $250, I did a tandem jump with Jordan (AWESOME! Can't say enough how cool he was!) [They] make sure you get the appropriate training via video and in-person communication before making your way to the plane. Did you know that their parachutes are automatically programmed to dispatch when they hit a certain amount of feet? Brilliant! All suited up, we loaded onto the small plane of 6 jumpers, and when they asked who wanted to go first after getting to the appropriate height, I scooted my butt so fast to the open door, Jordan was like, "Wait for me!" Oh yeah. I need him. No time for dilly-dallying. I kicked my feet outside the underbelly of the plane (like they tell you), turned around one more time to see if I was still attached to my instructor, and instead of counting down...we just fell out. LOVED THAT!!! The view was surreal. I didn't feel like I was moving/falling at all. Only when the chute deployed did I notice something. HRANK! Boy, those straps dig into your thighs when you are abruptly slowed like that haha Perfect landing. Cruised in like Sir Mix-A-Lot into the Taco Bell. Afterwards, I head into the town with my friend who watched to make sure that my man would be notified in case I became part of the pasture and enjoyed a well-earned beer. I would do it again, but for the cost. If only the discount pricing started after 2 jumps instead of more :) DO IT, GUYS! read more

Lovecraft There is no better way to get over fear then to know what you are afraid of. In the past two years I've jumped here 4 times. In each one of those times I have brought a group of 8 or more. Our last group had 16 people, 14 of which were all first timers. And though many were beyond scared and it took quite a bit of convincing to do - there is NEVER a perfect time to "try" skydiving. There's never a perfect day or a perfect scenario. You just have to DO IT. And of all 30+ people that I have convinced to jump with me, there hasn't been ONE that said they won't ever do it again. There really is nothing in LIFE that can prepare you for your first jump. There's nothing in LIFE that can describe what skydiving feels like. It is an experience in it's own. For nearly a minute - while you are free falling towards earth at over 120 mph - there isn't a worry in the world. All stress, all worries, all problems, all issues go out the window. It's at that moment when you feel the most alive. Even when the parachute deploys and your mind begins to process what you just did - you feel like a new person. I tell ya, if you can jump out of a plane at 14,000 feet there really isn't much else to be afraid of. For the folks that like to think of things logically... That "stomach in the throat" feeling maybe lasts for about 2 seconds - right as you come out the plane. But once you parallel out with the earth and begin your free fall, it's just amazing from there on out. Because there isn't anything flying by you as you fall - your mind doesn't register how fast you're actually going. Because you don't "feel" gravity pulling at you, you don't feel like your falling. For that precious minute - you're doing something many people only dream of, floating. Free falling. Facing your fear. Sadly - it all ends way too fast. When you touch down on the ground, the only thing that hurts is your face from smiling ear to ear and you can't stop. And you can't wait to do it all over again. Great professionalism at this DZ - from the mindset of safety first and enforcing the first rule of having fun and smile. The entire staff and jump instructors are extremely nice and know how to have fun. They can take a joke and dish them as well. Big shout outs to Craig, Jared, Mike, Vlad, Greg Rafuse and the entire staff there for always making it a memorable experience - and a special shout out to Sonia who I know went to open Skydive Chelan for she was my first tandem skydive. We finally were able to go skydiving a year later! Skydive snohomish has made a lot of positive changes since my last review - when I called to rebook (since our last trip was canceled due to weather), I actually got a live person (and not a voicemail) and their customer service was a lot better. We opted to get the video (even though its pretty expensive - an extra $80-90 per person), and got the 'double your free fall' deal for $25... at the end of the day we were glad we got both (its fun to review your video and show friends afterwards.) The video is just of your tandem skydive instructor holding a camera as you jump - but I gotta say that they are actually pretty skilled with aiming it while jumping out of a plane. Unfortunately we were the last plane to go up out of our group so we had to wait over an hour, but they do provide some fun things to keep you occupied. Overall, a great experience... the jump itself went by really quickly (first thing I said when I hit the ground was "that was so short!") The orientation and check-in process was smooth, and the instructors got us all pumped up. Glad I did it and would do it again (if it wasn't so expensive). read more

If you're going to skydive, make sure to do it with a reputable company and Skydive Snohomish is very reputable. They make sure to put your safety first! I was nervous the day of and throughout the experience everyone from the instructors to the pilot made it such a fun time. Make sure to go on a clear day because after the free fall portion of your sky dive you can see for miles! I was able to see Mount Baker, Mount Rainer and the Seattle skyline. I would highly recommend to get the photo package to remember your skydive. super! awesome!! woo hoo!!! i'm still feeling the rush 4 hours after my jump!!!! lynnwood senior center skydivers rule! yes. we three seniors did the jump. our ages were 62-70+. if you are 65 or older, a doctor's release is required. the entire staff's upbeat yet professional attitude made me feel very comfortable and safe. the instructors were calm and relaxed so i didn't feel nervous and anxious. no barking out orders here! we were cheerfully greeted as we entered the building and checked in. we filled out the online form and release forms. then we watched the training video that was perfect! it was so positive, you could not but feel happy, and safe, and eager to get on the plane to jump. we practiced the moves we would have to do after we jumped out of the plane. we suited up and off we went into the wild blue yonder: 13,500 feet. there was no possibility of me embarassing myself by hesitating or freaking out to jump out of a perfectly good plane, thanks to my instructor, kody, who simply pushed us out. the Arch and landing Legs Lift was easy. the 30 second free-fall seemed a lot longer. the wind made it easy to keep the Arch position. when the parachute opened, it was a jolt, but not a bad one. i asked to slow the the turning because it made me queasy, so it was a nice, calm, floating descent. in my opinion, there is no real physical strength needed for this. the only trouble i had was standing up from the laying position after we landed. it took me several moments to get my body to respond. i think my body and brain was still saying: WTF? the ground crew took group pictures of us. i bought a tee shirt and we received a certificate and a water bottle. i can't wait for the video to arrive tomorrow. this was my first jump, so there was a certain level of anxiety and tenseness, there was nothing scary about the jump at all thanks to the instructors and the ground staff. recommendation: hold off on eating at least a few hours before the jump in case you become queasy. i didn't think i would have an issue with queasiness because i do not have motion sickness but, surprise! there are plenty of restrooms available to use before boarding the plane. i recommend in warm weather, shorts or capris and tee shirts, since the full suit-up will be very, very warm. yes, i would do this again. read more

Just about two months ago I started learning how to become a fully licensed skydiver and now I am VERY close to being done. I choose this place because they are VERY safe and the service is wonderful. This is a great place to go if you just want to go once or get your license. If you go tandem (attached to a professional skydiver) you only have to watch a 20min video BUT if you want to jump by yourself you need to take a 4 hour class. I think if you just want to go for the hell of it go tandem, if you want to get your license go static line. If you go there to get your license take it seriously and study BEFORE you go up there or be an hour early to read the book. The more serious you take the instruction the more fun you will have and the safer you will be to yourself and others around you :-) A note to people thinking about going tandem: Your going to have a great time, all the tandem instructors are top notch and the gear is very new and highly maintained. Went here today for the second time. Staff is very friendly & makes sure you feel comfortable & safe. They do an instruction video before you go up & explain the rules. All of the instructors here are incredibly friendly and great at making you feel at ease. There's an observation area where friends and family can watch you jump, as well as games to keep you entertained while you wait. I highly recommend getting the pictures & videos because these are memories you want to look back on an think "If I can do that, I can do anything". I recommend this place to everyone!! read more
