Stasia is gifted! I don't think I've ever been a walk-in before at a salon that was new to me, but this was a last minute emergency and Stasia gladly accepted me as a walk-in for a hair color, highlight and cut and my hair looks SO beautiful! I'm 100% thrilled with the way it looks. BEST stylist I have found and the happiest I have been with my hair since I moved here 6 years ago! She is also friendly, lighthearted, thoughtful and professional and made me feel welcomed even as a walk-in. I definitely don't have to keep searching for a stylist. I had called in advance specifically asking for a stylist with particular skills cutting long layers. I was told that so-and-so was highly experienced. Maybe she was, but I was absolutely disgusted when I left. Bonnie the stylist did little more than trim my edges. There was no discernable difference in the hair I walked in with and the hair I walked out with --- she didn't even bother styling my hair after the cut! She suggested that since I was on my lunch hour, maybe leaving with damp unstyled hair was okay. I did say that I had a limited amount of time, but I didn't seriously think I would be turned out from Skye Salon with with damp, unstyled hair! Maybe I caught Bonnie on and off day since her reputation seems solid, but one bad experience like that is enough to keep me away permanantly from Skye: Very disappointing. Tajia Oliva is the best hair dresser I have ever had! Two years ago I had trouble committing to getting my hair done due to not finding a hair dresser I could trust with my super long thick hair, until I found her! I've never felt so comfortable walking into a salon and letting this wonderful gifted woman cut and color my hair. She listens to exactly what I want and the results speak out loud. I am a massage therapist's NIGHTMARE. As soon as I find one I like, their business either ends up closing down or they leave the salon never to be heard from again. Now, after this has happened a time or two, I started to take it a little personally. But, I am hoping it doesn't happen again, because I found a woman who really knows her stuff, and she's the best!! Cheryl at Skye Salon and Spa was awesome. She did a wonderful job adjusting the pressure to fit my needs. She's not a talker, which I dig, because I'm not there to find out your whole life story: I'm there to relax. I scheduled a manicure & pedicure. Easy to schedule & got a reminder call the day before. Upon arriving, Staci was prompt about starting my pedicure. She worked quickly & did an adequate job, then left me for a long while. Upon returning, she was on her cell phone & proceeded to attempt to do my manicure while continuing to talk on the phone. She finally hung up & rushed through the manicure, leaving my nails jagged. After completing, I was shocked by the price - $75! For a business that bills itself as a 'spa', I did not feel pampered in the least. On the contrary, I felt rushed & neglected. Had a haircut this weekend with Tajia-In the top two worst haircuts I've ever gotten. $40 for a terrible, uneven trim. Did not even trim bangs like I asked. Did not bother to say anything, as I did not want any more damage done to my hair. Salon is super noisy- not a relaxing environment. Waste of time and money- don't buy the hype. read more

I just had my hair done by Stacy (Staci? Not sure about spelling) yesterday, and I could not be more disappointed. I was the maiden of honor in my best friend's wedding, and I pointed out one of the other bridesmaid's hair and requested that mine look just the same: a little volume on top, loosely pinned back, pretty cascading curls. Instead I ended up with shellacked helmet head, ringlets that fell out an hour later, and awful pictures that are going to live forever. Stacy spent a lot of time talking to another stylist, she didn't listen to my requests, she didn't offer to switch me to another stylist when it was clear things weren't turning out the way I'd like them to, and she let me leave the chair, even when it was clear I was really disappointed with the results. I would have been better off doing my hair myself. I would never, EVER recommend this stylist to anyone else. read more

I totally agree with Carolyn, Tajia is who you need to see! In fact, I recently tried her after reading Carolyn's review and she is marvelous! I have a funky hairdo, and have had a nightmare time of finding someone to cut it properly. Not only is it perfect, but she nailed the color as well. Both things that the last 4 stylists I've seen (more than once) have been unable to manage. Add to this sheer talent, an amazing personality and you just can't go wrong! I get my hair done at this salon and it is the best ever. However, I decided to get my eyebrows waxed and tinted there for the first time yesterday. The esthetician was very friendly and, when finished, showed me my finished eyebrows. In the slightly darkened room they seemed OK. When I got home and looked in my mirror in regular lighting I was shocked!! So many hairs were missed! And the tint was way, WAY too dark and the tint ABOVE my left eyebrow was still there! I had to use alcohol to get it all off. And I had to spend about five minutes tweezing the leftover hairs. There were hairs below my brows, above my brows, to the sides of my brows and between my brows. That's $30 wasted. I definitely will NOT be returning for any eyebrow work in the future. read more

I get more compliments on my hair (almost daily) than you can imagine. I keep a stack of Brandi's cards in my purse, and hand them out more than I do my own business card. I saw Casey three times. The first time was pretty good. The second time, not as good, and the third time I got the absolute WORST cut and color I have ever had. He added highlights in some strange, random areas and then proceeded to over-process my hair to the point where I lost huge chunks. I was forced to go to another salon and have 5-6 inches cut off (and it still wasn't enough to get it to even) and get conditioning/repair treatments. It will take years to get back to where I started, not to mention the hundreds of dollars I have now been forced to spend. The salon is nice, but I would recommend staying clear of Casey!!! read more

From the gal who answered the phone an booked my appointment to the stylist who can be described as nothing short of a true miracle worker, this salon just can't be beat! I was very impressed to say the least! I have to admit, I was surprised to have the gal who booked my appointment to actually ask exactly what I wanted done and then asked about the style I was looking for but then she went on to tell me why she was booking me with the stylist she suggested! I've NEVER had a salon do this to the degree she did! She was patient, asked appropriate questions and was knowledgeable! I show up for my appointment and was pleasantly greeted by not just the desk staff but my stylist as well! To say the least, I was THRILLED with my stylist, Marty, who I immediately trusted! He listened to what I liked, issues I have with my hair and where I eventually wanted to go! To say the least, I adore my hair, not only is it stylish but I can actually repeated the style he gave me, which typically isn't the case! I think it's fair to say that if my experience is typical, there is no reason for anyone not to be thrilled! Had a horrible experience with Sharon. I have been seeing her for over a year now. Got my hair done last week and asked for an ombré. She told me it was no problem. I was initially quoted $156 for cut and ombré, which I was totally fine with. She did my ombré which took 5 hours. I've had this done before at another salon and it took an hour and a half. After she was "finished" I went home and blow dryed my hair. It was horrible! There were patches of random blonde spots all throughout my hair. There was a huge streak across my hair and orange pieces in the blonde of my ombré. I immediately called the salon back and asked to come back in the have it fixed. Sharon told me she didn't have time but to come in and she will see what she can do. I drove all the way back to the salon to be there for another hour! She acted like what she did wasn't a big deal... After she charged me $180 for a complete mess of color in my hair, I never got the cut! That would have made the cost well over $200 for nothing. She had her husband try and fix it but that didn't work what so ever. She knew when I left I was crushed and disappointed. I never got a follow up call from her asking how I looked and if I was happy. I didn't get any sort of discount or even a sincere apology. She apologized once but laughed as she did it. I'm a young adult that budgets to get my hair colored. I don't have money to throw around. Today I went to another salon to get my hair corrected. 5 hours later I'm back to looking normal and am happy again. I will never go to Sharon again and wouldn't recommend her to anyone. Not because she made some mistakes but because she isn't professional, has poor customer service and only cares about the money. If you want a stylist that really cares about what you want, she's not for you. read more
