Every time I call, whether it's to return a call from the woman who confirms appts, I think her name was Pam? Or to reschedule or schedule its a very long wait on the phone - today, I've tried 3 times and had to hang up - waited 15 minutes with no one picking up. Yes, that's bad - when there are phone services that will call you back when they are free. Do people spend all day trying to reach someone? How can you get back to the staff when you can't get through? Second is, they have farmed out most of their phone support to India. Difficult to understand them and then they will sometimes give you incorrect prep information or put you hold because THEY have to call the direct office to get the info! That's really bad as well - most times you have questions about preparation for a test and need correct info which can only come from experienced staff that works at the office! I know RAH/ImageCare is growing, but then spend the money on support here in the US!

He even called me right back when I called the day after surgery (on a sat morning), even though he was not on call, and talked me through my drama. (All I had to do was loosen my ace bandage!) I just went back for my suture removal and hobbled my way in, in my boot. Doc gave me the courage to walk more normally in my boot, providing the reassurance I clearly needed - letting me know everything would be okay. On the day of the procedure I presented my insurance card and asked if there was a copay, I was told no. There are codes on the card, but I didn't know what they meant. 3 weeks after the procedure I get a bill for $1691 from the center, $400 from my physician and $300 for anesthesia. When I called I was told $0 was just an estimate. They verified and I signed that they verified. I called my insurance company was told they called to verify AFTER my procedure when I called to complain. Apparently the center "has its own" verification system, that does not connect to my insurance company at all. They are refusing to accept any liability for the fact that lied about verifying WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY. The procedure was elective. If they had told me my co-pay alone was $1500 I would have said, thanks but I thanks... never dealing with this scam of place again.
