Constantly interrupted me and then blamed me for the inflamed bite, saying I caused the problem by putting alcohol on the bite-which I did only once. ONCE! They then proceeded to take a blood sample. This is day 6 and my arm is still swollen, tender and black and blue from my elbow to my wrist. I am not a person who bruises easily. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! So even though my experience with the front desk was positive, this makes me question them. Overall this was a standard urgent care. I liked how quickly I could schedule an appointment and how friendly the front desk was. The issue was that the PA could not actually properly treat me because the beds don't recline at all. I had to see another specialist and pay another copay for a service I should have gotten from them. She was nice but I didn't feel like the level of care matched what I should have received.

I've watched Hackettstown hospital evolve throughout the years from the 1970's until now…read more It's gone downhill. I'm sorry to be the one to point that out . Personally, in the year 2025, Hackettstown hospital is a great place to go to to die. That's about it. I've had several bad experiences with different nurses there. There is an ICU nurse in particular who I am absolutely horrified is involved in patient care at all. Outside of work, she drinks and drives and has a horrible drinking problem. The hospital should be monitoring her for alcohol use on the job. It's negligent that they just allow her to keep caring for patients. I wouldn't send the worst inmates in the state there, unless they were going there to die.

At this point I'm not even sure if I was supposed to have one because in addition to not filling out the paperwork properly he sent me documents with someone else's information on it twice. I am completely disheartened and disappointed in this experience because due to his negligence and lack of communication, I did not get paid while on the leave he recommended and have now lost my job because there was no paperwork turned in from him stating the reason that I needed leave. They literally have 1 doctor who is incredibly sketchy at best 3. They make appointments and keep you waiting for 2 hours past the appointment time and show no remorse stating that they only have 1 doctor 4. They are rude, disrespectful and do NOT care about you as a patient. 5. The office is filthy and dated I truly feel bad for the nurses in the office because they are stuck in an impossible situation with terrible employers !

We sat there an additional 45 minutes. When they called for my mom I just went in the same room with her. Our test came back one flu one covid. The doctor answered a phone call while being in the room with us. She also asked me about my other health issue and then went into her husband health issues with the same thing as mine for about 15 minutes. Which was reassuring and fine but not for 15 minutes. At the end of the visit she didn't prescribed me anything for the flu because she believed I was at the end of it. The next day I woke up and decided to get an at home test because I didn't believe that I had the flu. I actually tested positive for Covid also went to my regular doctor and I tested positive for Covid there. Moral of the story is that it was very unprofessional that the doctor answered a phone call in the middle of my visit and I got the wrong test results. I haven't ever had another issues at this urgent care. Just this recent time. It's hit or miss with what doctor you get. This doctor I even had to explain medical terminology to.

AFC had a large, clean waiting room and online check-in.  The exam room was also large, with enough room for the patient, a parent, and the medical staff.  The medical assistant who greeted us was kind and gentle with my daughter.  The PA, Alexa Klapach, was knowledgeable and actually listened to my daughter's symptoms and to my concerns. After being told to "wait and see" by City MD, Alexa confirmed what we already knew--that my daughter had an infection and needed antibiotics. We will definitely be going to AFC Denville for our urgent care needs.  It is clean and has a kind and knowledgeable staff--which is exactly what a patient needs when they are unwell.
