this is my second review where in my first I said the place is excellent but if people find out then I won't be able to get a table.... hate to tell ya but... the place got BETTER..they spruced up the place by adding new chairs and bench's that make spectating more comfortable and upgrading the lighting adds a nice touch. the food is great as it was the last time and Now.... I'll Never get a table!! this is the best pool hall in NYC period. no shade on other places but only one can be the best. read more

This is is my main spot now fr sure . All other places have become way to fancy and less about pool more about flashiness and food . This place is great cool Guys at the front they even have grilled flame top burger at the front which is rare. And the price is definitely the best and lower then any other then my other spot in island park. read more

Went here several times now and it's a new favorite. Some of the best rates in this area, has a bar and they serve good finger food. Space is clean, well spaced. They have 12 tables for active play, great crowd and they actually have good music playing. Additionally, they have an area for darts and board games to bring back to tables when billiards isn't exactly your thing. Great environment and staff are very welcoming. Great experience here on a cold Saturday night. Our party of 4 decided to try a new pool hall since our regular spot was a little farther afield and usually crazy busy. We were not disappointed. Large space with beautiful, well maintained tables. Tables were well spaced so you there was no cha ce you would hit a player at another table. They have drinks and a food menu which was a pleasant surprise and a change from my regular spot. They also have board games and darts (I think) if you have to wait for a table. Recently stopped by Skyline to play pool. I typically play in Manhattan but my friend lives in Brooklyn so we went there due to recommendations from other friends. Skyline offers special rates so if you plan on playing 5 hours, it will only cost $20 per person. That's just $5 per hour per person. Never seen a deal that good anywhere else. Other places can easily charge 2 or 3 times that much. Anyway, the tables, balls, house cues and other equipment aren't the top of the line but they do the job fine. Food was very good and the staff was very friendly. Alex always came be periodically to see if we needed anything. What I particularly liked was that the music wasn't played too loudly so you can actually have a conversation without yelling. Plus the music they played was relaxing or what you could say is Easy Listening Music. I was there during the afternoon and early evening so not sure if the music changes later in the evening. Overall, had a very good time! Will definitely be back again soon! If they had free parking I'd give them 5 stars! read more

Recently purchased and renovated by its new owners, international pool player Jennifer Barretta and her husband, Rich, this is an excellent billiard hall. I say "billiard" because not only does it have terrific pool tables, but also two heated billiard tables for carom games. Each table has excellent lighting like Amsterdam Billiards had when it used to be on Amsterdam Avenue. The room lighting is dim, but each table is brilliantly and evenly lit by its own lamps. They sell quality pool sticks and gear, and I've heard that the food is excellent. read more

In my opinion, this is probably the best place you can shoot pool in Brooklyn if you're really into the game. Other pool halls overcharge or the pool hall might not be that great. If you go during the day time (they open at 12PM mostly), there are hardly any people there and it's real quiet. You can put on your earphones and just practice or bang balls around on the table. The regulars keep to themselves mostly. It's almost therapeutic in a sense playing here in the day. Their house cues are decent but I haven't really looked the whole room's because I prefer to bring my own. When I say that the pool hall is the best, I mean their equipment is well looked after. The cloth on their tables are well maintained and the balls are cleaned daily so you won't find a cue ball riddled in blue chalk. Aside from regular 9 foot Brunswick Gold Crowns, they have a 7 foot Diamond bar box, and two heated 10 foot Chevillotte billiard tables. If they had a snooker table, this would be a complete billiards establishment. read more

After moving out of Brooklyn, we haven't been back for a while until recently when we happened to be in the hood. The room has been totally redone by the new owners and brings a more updated and contemporary feel that's more upscale but not pretentious. Very inviting decent amount of room between tables so u don't have your butt on the adjacent table. They also have a nice menu and a full bar! They have a few parking spots up front and near the train so very convenient. Prices are reasonable and we had a great time. Will definitely b back! read more

Came here last night at the recommendation of my brother with him and another friend. The pool hall is on the second floor, darkly lit, old rugs, and softly playing pop music. This pool hall is not meant for a party, but more for serious competition. Domestic beers were $4 each, and pool table rates were on the high side. If you are looking for a hip, fun, lively night, don't come here. If you have tunnel vision and have no other life purpose but to crush opponents at pool, look no further. read more

Stopped by the other night to drop off a cue stick to be altered. So my friend and I played a hour or so of straight pool. The tables are in decent condition. But I didn't like the height of the tables. They seemed kind of low, I really don't know if there is a regulation height. They have a league that plays there, and they also serve food and beer. The dirtiest pool hall I have ever been to. The bathrooms are especially filthy. Dirty unattended tables. The place is just for kids. The night my husband and I had the displeasure of coming here to play there were two large groups of jewish teenagers. They were roudy, throwing balls and cues around at each other, pushing one another into people. There was only one person os the staff on the floor and he could not handle the situation at all. It took me barking at the kids once to stop them, but our night was of course ruined after that. Will never ever return here! read more

skyline billard club..........if your using public transportation its 100 feet from the f train at mcdonald and ave x........by car there is nearby parking.......the people who run the show are friendly and willing to help........they have a nice beer and food selection.....you cant beat the prices for table time.......all day $15 and free on wed if you wear a dress......no other pool room in the area that has 2 beautiful billiard tables that are humidity controlled........the balls are always clean and the brunswick tables are in excellent condition .........if you want to play on a tight pocket table they have a few........if you are low on funds they have a water fountain .........large screen tv s for the ball games......and i left the best for last.......you dont have to feed the jute box........music is playing while your playing.......helps to keep you calm.......all is not perfect and there is one negative for some people......you have to walk up a few steps..........i started playing there 4 years ago and never looked back........joey dump read more
