Came on a Tuesday afternoon with a friend (only about 6 tables being used) and another time alone on a Thursday afternoon (crowded; only 1 table available). There's about 12 billiard tables and one ping pong table. $5.50 per person per hour. However, to use card, you need to spend $10 min. Otherwise, you need to pay in cash. The guy was super nice about it tho, when I had only stayed for an hour and the bill came out to be $6. Would 100% recommend and come again :)

My friend is a long time customer of Gotham City Billiards and he brought me here on Wednesday since I wanted to play pool. GC does a good job with covid precautions with checking temperatures, having us spaced out, and cleaning billiard materials. The women's bathroom was to my surprise, quite clean and both the soap and towel dispenser are automatic. I'm most satisfied with their prices - it's the best I've encountered in NYC.

Last time I was here was back in 2013 so as you can see I came here 7 years later and it brought back very good old memories. The place is very well maintained, masks are required to worn at all times except when eating and drinking. It was the five of us so we played 8 games for two hours and they charged us 45 for everything (the games and snacks). However my only complain is that they downgraded their menu as the snacks were not that good especially the French fries and mozzarella sticks and even the hand sanitizer was cheap quality since it was sticky and smelly. Other than that if you want to play and enjoy this is the place to be. Come here with your friends and loved ones and enjoy quality billiards. We didn't try the ping pong game bcoz that was $16 per person but if you into that they go ahead and indulge in that. Highly Recommend this place.

I was here with my girlfriend a few weeks ago and I wanted to write and say how awesome and above and beyond the staff here is. I have trouble standing for long periods of time and one of the stools and chairs they have are comfortable for me. They are either too narrow or too tall. I asked the clerk who was running things and though he doubted they had anything he took the time to roam around and find me a folding chair I could use so I could rest between shots. He could have just told me to use what was available like everyone else but he went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. He also brought all the items of food we ordered to where we were playing so we didn't have to chase it down at the register. To the guy working that night I want to say thanks again, you're awesome. We will certainly be coming back again one day. The only reason I can't give this review 5 stars is because the seats and stools are so uncomfortable in the first place. They are not designed for fat or handicapped people. The stools are really tall bar stools where your feet have to hang off the ground, and the chairs that are normal and lower to the ground are hard and solid with really narrow armrests. I hope the owner reads this and considers adding some more comfortable seating or at least putting aside a few more folding chairs so the clerk working is not put into the same position.

Amazing pool hall for its character and lack of fucks to give. The staff here is very chill yet courteous and are always down to strike a conversation. The tables here are nice, plentiful and the area is spacious. The interior comes off as a little rough around the edges but it only elevates the charm that represents Brooklyn. There's also a 15% discount for students with ID!

Plus, it seems they like to secretly charge you extra when they do that swipe twice Nonsense and the pay didn't get through nonsense. NOW! I don't know it is about skin color or whatever but, it is just strange. They did that a few times and my friend still didn't get their money back. I will not be going here ever again and I guess that is what they want. I am not saying they are racist but, they showing prejudice. As for me personally, I love people and all nationalities and I like to support and learn about people's culture but, if you came to America to start your life here, you suppose to treat people with respect, kindness and fairness, just as you want people to do to you. Plus, the other place I go to is way better than this place anyway, it is just need to travel kinda far to get there. I don't think they sell food.

They would rather tend to their people who are white and prioritize them. This place acts in a very racist manner and I had the feeling that they were ignoring us because they didn't want us to stay. They seated me and my boyfriend in this corner and the table next to us was also a black and hispanic couple. The white people were allowed to sit anywhere and at this moment I had the worst feeling in my stomach. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with this location. I always go to red oak in bay ridge and the one time I decide to try out another spot, my boyfriend and I were racially discriminated against. I will NEVER come back to this establishment. We also ordered a margarita and a soda. The soda was a glass bottle but it was about 6oz. They charged us $5 for two sips of coke. The margarita was good. The truffle fries were good and their "buffalo chicken wings" were fried chicken with buffalo sauce on the side. We tried to order hookah but we waited for 30-40 minutes and nobody came to help us. We asked for help ordering the hookah several times. They will also hold on to your ID and card to "keep a tab open." Upon asking the waiter for our card back the pulled out a folder that had at least 20+ cards in it. She was looking through that folder for a few minutes before giving my boyfriend his ID and card back. I can only imagine how many people went and was never given their card back. The staff was walking around helping other people who are white and ignored myself and my boyfriend as well as the black and hispanic couple next to our table. The staff will talk amongst themselves and laugh behind the bar and by the registers. The table we were seated at had a call help button. The staff saw me press this button multiple times and still ignored me. I heard their work devices ring every time i pressed the button and I was still ignored. Please DO NOT waste your money on this establishment if you are black or hispanic. They WILL discriminate against you. My review is not the only review that mentions this behavior. Also, in the women's bathroom there are 3 stalls. Two out of three stalls were out of order. The bathroom smelled like musty toilet water. There was a little bit of toilet paper in that one stall and no napkins in the bathroom. My experience here was horrible and I regret coming here.

From the bright, neon, cyberpunk-y decor that reminds me of NYE in Chongqing, to the amazing selection of Asian tunes that cover everything from Hindi to Malay--it was like the UN threw a music festival and every Asian was invited. Plus, how can you not love a room for 15 people costing only $60/hour? And the cost counts as a credit toward food/drink, essentially ensuring free bites and sips for the whole party? Or maybe I'm biased because I FINALLY got to sing Coldplay in Mandarin. Siiiiigh....

They make you pay for the night plus the tip before you can even order food or get instructions on how the night will go. That didn't sit right with me. I spoke to the manager, and they said it's their policy and we couldn't participate until the service fee was paid. I ended up paying because I was with a group and didn't want to mess up the night trying to prove a point, but if I wasn't, I would've left. Second, the food selection is very minimal, and I wasn't a fan of anything I tried. I had fried chicken, fries, and a spring roll. Everything was greasy. Now back to the mandatory service fee. After paying, the only time staff really checked on us was to tell us how much time we had left. If we needed anything, we had to press a button to request service. They didn't come by on their own. So it's hard to justify paying $65 for that level of service. On a positive note, the rooms were nice, and the karaoke part was fun. One suggestion: invest in a better karaoke system. Searching songs on YouTube and finding karaoke versions worked, but it would be a much better experience with a more streamlined and visually appealing setup. The service itself, once we called them, was fine--they were nice, and they even extended our time a little past what we were supposed to have. Would I recommend it? Maybe...if you don't mind paying the service fee upfront and you're not going for the food. If you're hungry, I'd suggest trying a different spot with better food options.
