Man oh man this Chili feels like it's flowing through my veins. The waitress was brilliant and had amazing manners, bringing the true skyline experience and fulfilling skylines purpose. The crackers and hot sauce were great, but I will warn future customers that the hot sauce came out VERY quickly so consider yourself warned. If I'm ever driving through this state I always stop for lunch @ a skyline. The staff are always friendly and oh that chili is something special. It isn't thick but also not too thin. It's an strange anomaly imo. They put an extreme amount of cheese on everything and I wish they had a broiler to put it under to melt some of it because I think it would be better but they don't. Literally has to be the worst skyline I've ever been to. Unfriendly, unhelpful, poorly made food. Do yourself a favor and drive a couple miles to a different one. I've been living in Florida but had to fly in for a funeral. I stayed in a Hilton off Sharon Rd so I though I'd go to Skyline. My order was Luke warm at best. The cheese didn't even melt where it touched the chili. I told the manager I couldn't eat the Three Way because it was too cool. I asked if the company is cooking at a lower temperature or something. His exact word was Huh! He then charged me full price. I believe that's code for yes we're cooking it at a dangerously low temperature and was hoping nobody would notice. So I walked in and sat down waiting for someone to take my order. I had picked up a menu on my way in so I all I needed was someone to take my drink order and what I was going to eat. I decided on a chili dog with cheese and side of fries with a soft drink. I wasn't that hungry but since I was staying at the motel next door and didn't want to drive or go to the other restaurant on the other side, Skyline Chili was my choice. So I sat there for 15 minutes (Yes i timed it on my watch) and still no service even though the staff was in plain view of my table. That's all I needed. I got up and left. Yep, ate inside at this place a year ago and gave a negative review. Zero stars if it were an option. Ordered a regular 5 Way with extra bean and onion. I repeated my order two times to the waitress and also requested plenty of chili. Plate arrived at the table and it looked like a child size portion. No extra anything but I was charged. Waitress went to ring me up and I told her to take the price off for the extra because I received none of it. I'm not kidding people, when you ask for plenty of chili you get mainly liquid and grease which stays on the bottom of the plate. I never even received a regular portion of beans or onion let alone extras. A baby size portion of spaghetti and lots of cheese sprinkled around to cover the fact there were no extras. Waitress and the young guy who made the food, went in the back room and was gone leaving me at the register for about a minute and a half. Waitress, young guy and manager, Tracy all three came to the register. I had to repeat my complaint again and told her that I ordered extras and got none as well as a baby size portion. Come on, a minute and a half in the back room whispering around, she knew what my complaint was. She turned and was talking very loudly in front of other employees who were all staring, telling me that Skyline had not changed their portions. People, I have been eating at this place for almost 40 years and I won't go back. It's obvious why this manager drives a big fancy black four-door tinted out window Acura. I'm sure she gets bonuses for saving the company money and being stingy with the food. When I ask for her first name, Tracy, the manager, arrogantly asked me if I wanted her last name too. Such a turn off and unprofessional. When I started to write this review I noticed that this place only has 2 1/2 stars and now I see why. Go to another location people, stand up to this nonsense no matter what business you go to. I love Skyline Chili. But this location just isn't up to par (and I've given them a dozen shots.) It's a shame with the amount of hotels nearby, that people from out of town will try this one and later have nothing good to say about our Cincinnati style chili. The portion sizes and temperature of the chili itself are never consistent or pleasing to the eye. And please, for the love God, please make the cheese coneys on a rack and not on the plate or in the to-go styrofoam. I'm a out-of-towner AND first timer. Had a great meal with some family here consisting of a 3-way meal and two coney dogs with cheese. The coney dogs were perfect, just the right size and really hit the spot. Compliments on the unique tasting chili - hints of cocoa, cinnamon, and the right blend of tomatoes. Not spicy in the least, and there was a bottle of hot sauce waiting for me when I needed to turn up the heat. The general manager and waiter were great! With cold cheese on top, the meat was so cold the cheese didn't even melt. It was a ridiculously pathetic excuse for chili. This skyline is not my favorite, but the staff is pretty on top of it... for the most part. This place gets packed for lunch, but the wait staff does a good job of keeping up the crowd, just be warned. The chili here never quite seems to be right though... It's always dry (if thats possible) Normally if I need a bib or I'm eating something I know i'm going to need a stack of napkings for, I don't have that problem here. So when I went to Cincinnati, I had to try Cincinnati chili. It was a meal. Not much more to say. I know there are a number of Cincinnati chili merchants in The 'Natty. Some love this place the best, some like the others better. I took a Yelp influenced shot and let Skyline represent the city's namesake dish. Ok, I know that the city came first, but if the chili was that good, they would be happy to be named after the dish. Problem is, it's little more than supermarket bland. Not bad, mind you - just nothing impressive. I tried it 4-way and also got a coney. The simple diner atmosphere provided simple diner food. The kind of stuff you get because you are hungry, not because you want to experience a meal. Alright so I am an absolute out-of-towner so I'm not familiar with Cincinnati style chili, but I had to try it! I was definitely surprised at the amount of cheese, and that it wasn't melted? But the service was fast and they had diet mountain dew so that's great. Adding beans, onions, and getting the habanero cheese is an absolute must. It's not too spicy, don't be scared. The chili is very mild so it's worth it. I think I enjoyed the Coney (hot dog) the best. My parting word on enjoying this Cincinnati classic is that you should go in with an open mind as its own experience. Cincinnati chili is different. Cinnamon and chocolate are put into it. More of a brown base than a red tomato base

Three stars because it is the heart of Cincinnati however the sauce is pretty bland but it is made with a caramel and a chocolate characteristic to it so if you're in the area I'd say you have to try it at least once but leave it at that. read more

Our first time at a skyline, we are over the road truck drivers and have always heard people raving about this place. Finally had a chance to eat there. The best part of the meal were the crackers to wash down the absolute overload of cinnamon in he chili. Don't get me wrong I like cinnamon in meat if done properly.
