I was fortunate enough to take a wonderful dinner cruise on the Skyline Princess... What a breathtaking experience!!! I am a native New Yorker, however, I was downright giddy over the views of Manhattan from this cruise. It was like seeing my hometown with new eyes! The boat itself was immaculate... The staff was sweet and attentive. The Captain/Owner Pete was charming and couldn't have been more accommodating. I have to say, even the office staff was extremely helpful when booking my cruise with some crazy family members. I was really looking forward to the experience but wasn't expecting to be impressed with the food. Boy, was I wrong! Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. We had my son's Bar Mitzvah on the Skyline Princess - leaving from Flushing, NY and we couldn't be happier! The staff from the planning stages until the last guest left were friendly and professional. They helped out above and beyond - and gave us great suggestions based on their experience... The food was great - and the boat was everything we could have hoped for! The DJ told us we didn't have to buy favors for the kids, because the "boat is enough" and he was right! What a wonderful dinner cruise! I have had a few dinner cruises but none as nice as this. You have a table and can reserve your own private table if necessary. We were celebrating my friends engagement and it was the perfect atmosphere. The food was great, I especially enjoyed the eggplant rolatini and the short ribs! Your mouth waters as they bring the trays of food in. Our server Marta was so nice and accommodating! She even brought us drinks upstairs! What a wonderful personality! She is adorable. Her backup Corey is also a wonderful gentleman and checked in on us when Marta was attending other customers. So nice and comfortable! Unfortunately I would have given a 5 star except for the bartender. Now I have bartended in my day and NEVER have I tapped my tip jar before pouring a drink! How rude! He even lied to us and told us there was no more tequila until I saw him poor tequila for someone else. At the end of the night he even said "you should bring money, you know, in case you get robbed, they'll KILL you if you dont have money" "...this is verbatim.LUDICROUS! We paid for open bar which stated "all inclusive"! On top of the fact he stated "if we go anywhere else they will spit in our drinks"...again verbatim. His name is Marty . He may not be avoidable as he is the only bartender on ship. Other than this everything was wonderful and I would recommend this dinner cruise to anyone! The sites are out of this world! Really good times we did the one from the city unfortunately the one from queens wasn't open the dates we want it

We went for their special Valentine's Cruise on a blistery Saturday night. Now, we live in Manhattan so this was a hike. If you do not have a car, be prepared to walk because it's a good 20 minute walk from the nearest train station which is at Willet's Point. Getting to the pier was really confusing. I do not know queens and there were no obvious signs up to direct us to the actual port where our boat was. I cannot tell you how happy I was when we FINALLY found it. We got there just in the nick of time too! Of course this was after I made a phone call to their offices to find out where the hell this place is. The woman who answered the phone YELLED at me and said, you just passed it. I told you where to go before! Granted, I had never called or spoken to these people so I was not the only one who called and also that meant that we weren't the only ones confused about the location. Well, we finally get on the boat and were promptly seated. It was a sold out cruise so it was packed. Our waiter was very courteous and prompt. We had the open bar option so we had the champagne and wine flowing. The meal was three courses with the main course being an all-you-can eat buffet of Prime Rib Carving, Chicken Scaloppini, Lemon Sole stuffed with crabmeat accompanied by Roasted New Bliss Potatoes & Freshly Fresh Steamed green beans and rolls. The appetizer was a simple Caesar Salad and the dessert, we had a choice of either chocolate mousse cake or cheesecake. I went with the chocolate mousse cake. I thought the service once we got on the ship was nice. The food was all right, but a bit on the salty side. It was still cooked well..but what really was the laugh of the night was the table of folks who insisted that the prime rib was not cooked. (Prime rib is supposed to be served medium rare...maybe even medium..BUT NEVER EVER is it to be served well-done!) These people had the nerve to complain to the wait staff and demanded that they go back in the kitchen and cook the meat more. I nearly spit my champagne out. Then of course, after they had enough drinks they were yelling racial epitaphs to one another and cursing up a storm. It was horrible and made me a little uncomfortable since I am TRYING to have a romantic time with my boyfriend as were the other couples who clearly were alarmed at the drunken behavior these folks were displaying. We escaped after dinner and went upstairs to where they had a DJ playing top 40 music. Lots of people were dancing and they even had a wedding party there. You can also host your wedding with Skyline Cruises as well. All in all, I had a fun time. It was about a 4 and a half hour cruise with an open bar so how could I not at least be partially be satisfied? We made it home in one piece but I think if we go on a dinner cruise again, we'll stick with one that's easier and closer to get to. read more

While I combed through other sight seeing cruises for this event online, I have endeavored to choose your Skyline Cruises with the utmost expectation of a positive and worthwhile experience for my law school classmates (35th Ateneo Law School reunion). After being enlightened by your Cruise Manager - Buck Tanzi of the amenities in your cruise ship, I have booked and paid for mine and my other 4 friends the reservation on February 19, 2018. Subsequent to that and using that link that Buck provided, my friends have separately booked the other 7 person-reservation around the same time, as well - clearly making the headcount to be for 12 people in total. 2. Excited as we were, we came in early and waited patiently to be called to embark the ship on Saturday, May 25, 2018. As our turn came up and as we were ushered inside the ship, we were told that there was only 11 people in my reserved group. So the 12 of us were made to seat on the very end tail of the ship on a table meant for 10 people, that we squeezed into each other's face on Table #18, with our seats vibrating from the engine of the ship. 3. Then, while everyone from Table #1 to Table #17 were being served with salad and bread, where people were going once and twice to the buffet table - - - we were the last one to be served with same, the bread being so cold and hard as if it was a rock. Waiting for over an hour, my friend and I had to say something as far as when was our turn to get called to the buffet table. 4. Simultaneously, while we were waiting for our turn to be called in to the buffet table, we noticed the Ship Captain to be stopping by each table and doing his courtesy greetings, typical of a Cruise ship Captain (Being a Disney Vacation Club member, I have personally been to Disney cruises 9 times in the past 9 years all over the world) - except our table. Not once did he stop by and said hello at any time during the whole time we were on board the ship. 5. Then the buffet spread presentation. Your website depicted a bountiful spread of fruits, assorted bread & scrumptious dishes and all. What was the buffet presentation had like 3-4 trays of food - nothing like the pictures on your website. A cafeteria display was more like it than a cruise display of food. While we made the most of our time, enjoying each other's company and reminiscing our law school days from yester years, I am ghastly disappointed by how we were treated and I am making a point of that in order to make an honest evaluation and survey, that you may want to correct such an injustice, for others not to experience what we did. read more

Aug 4 was our day on this Ship . It was a Birthday Gift , which was Great . Many people were celebrating Birthday 's , anniversary, it was really a good place to be . The staff was excellent, our waitress Valentina couldn't do enough for us she was very abiding very pleasant always having a smile on her face The food was a buffet which was good The pastries that came around were excellent you had a choice . The speaker system could've been a little better couldn't hear what they were saying The music was a little on the young side could've played a little bit more of a mixed sound. I had a faboulous time today 7/29/17 for their lunch cruise with my bestie. It was so much fun, the food was served buffet style and was delicious, the mashed potatoes omg delish, the chicken was yummy, the veggies good, the steak was great. The drinks were Devine, and our server was the sweetest. Thank you for giving me and my friend an awesome time to hang out and have some great food with wonderful company. Absolutely awful customer service from a terribly run company. I booked a cruise well over a month ago for Valentine's Day weekend. Then I am told FIVE days before hand that it is cancelled, PLUS the guy who called me had the nerve to tell me that they've known it has been cancelled for nearly a month. Now I am stuck with everything else booked up and a hotel reservation in Queens that is completely useless but unable to be cancelled without a large fee. If something terrible happened and you had to cancel, fine. But to know for a month and not tell me until five days before? You should be ashamed. Stay away from these guys. I wish i could give more than 5 stars!! While visiting NYC for the first time, my family and I decided to do the brunch cruise to the statue of liberty. We did everything touristy while visiting...bus tours, empire state building, subways, trains, walking, broadway, central park..the whole 9 yards and THIS brunch cruise was by far my favorite touristy thing we did! The food was ok, nothing to write home about but really we weren't there for the food but the experience so we didn't mind. It was so amazing being able to see the city by boat. And I was super glad to be on the boat instead of on the island the statue of liberty is on (it was PACKED). First off the boat is huge, plenty of space for a wedding and tourists. The captain let the little kids in our group honk the horn and drive the boat . The staff was very helpful and kind, the drinks were good, the photo ops were PRICELESS and they have a dance floor with a dj that was playing some really good music on the upper deck. Honestly if your visiting NYC or are wanting to do the tourist stuff..this is the thing to do!!! read more

I really loved the DJ and Dance deck upstairs, and great views from the balconies. My favorite part of the evening was the dessert! This was supposed to be my special day!!!! Which end it up being a disaster about a wreck. The ship is terribly outdated, with hanging wires over the"Bride and Groom" table,(Ha, Ha,Ha, joke). To start they weren't even ready, a paper runner with scotch tape, people running around like chickens Getting their head cut off, No flower arrangements as promised, nothing special at all, just very ostere. The tables were not decorated as seen on the website!! very basic!! The food looked like they were serving it from inside a hospital Cafeteria, They gave not much special attention at all to us during our wedding at all. They promised a cake with special things on it, never got what we were promised. We payed $120 per head, others $89. All we got for supposed extra $30 a head was - A paper runner, little table, 15 chairs on top deck, a $30-$40 cake. Supposed china( everyone on cruise had same "China"). Our first wedding song- no one told our other guests to go up to dance floor to see. Also took them 3-4 times to make this happen. Kept going upstairs for first song and dance and didn't happen.!!!! Finally after several attempts first song happened, no one told guests to go see!!! For my Bride I felt horrible, this was supposed to be her special day. My hubby surprised me with this beautiful Valentines Day dinner. Filled with family and friends. We had friends who were running late, the captain held the ship for them to board. They also called to verify where they were. I was blown away by the customer service, food, and the great DJ. We had an amazing time! We took our family on a Father's Day brunch cruise and we enjoyed the trip, the views and the music. The food was pretty good and was the service. However, the dance floor was sticky, perhaps from the night before. Our main area of concern was the lack of any security measures including baggage checks prior to boarding. This was in sharp contrast to the security measures that are always in place at CitiField just across the marina. Very good/plentiful food, and bar service. Fun dance club with good dj. I'm also one who always thinks everything is too long, but I have to say that I do not find the duration of this cruise to be too long. It's the perfect amount of time to dine, sight see, dance, party, grab some dessert and wind down (sober up if necessary.) Will be back despite the crappy commute from NJ. If there's a Mets home game (might have to be a 7 pm game) the LIRR will be servicing the Mets/Willets stop so you could train in like going to a Mets game. We could not have spent our parents 50th anniversary in a more special way. Skyline Princess cruises provided our group of 20 with a delicious dinner with champagne, open bar dessert and music! The city views were unbelievable!! The kids ages ranged from 9-17 and they all had a blast. the adult were from 30-75. The DJ truly caught the ambiance with the best music. the backdrop for our family pictures were priceless. Our parents said that they had the times of their lives with the people who mean the most to them while also doing something they have never done before and will never forget! the matre'd also came out on deck to take pictures of us so we could all the capture this special day. We celebrated my daughters sweet sixteen on August 21st and right from the start I could never have asked for more, We were bless with the most gorgeous weather and treated to the most spectacular view of New York City and the Statue of Liberty. Our pastor who was a guest stated that "It was the greatest mini vacation of his life" . I had 109 guests , and I charted the entire boat , which the adults and children loved. I had the adults on the lower deck, the children on the middle deck and all of the festivities and dancing was held on the third deck. The buffet diner was superb and raved about by everyone of my guests. The crew displayed a high level of professionalism and was extremely attentive to our needs. The liquor was top shelf and flowed freely. As for the boat itself my guests were amazed by its size and although it is an older boat we were delighted by the fact that it has been refurbished and looks beautiful. One of my good friends said it best, He had been on several dinner boats from Brooklyn and long island but he had never seen anything near what he saw on the Sky Line Princess. I highly recommend considering the Sky Line Princess for your next private or cooperate party. My boyfriend and I went on the 4th of July dinner cruise yesterday, and it was okay at best. We chose this cruise because it was priced in the middle of the few options we found (cheapest being under $200 a person/more expensive around $500+ a person) and included open bar/looked to have a decent dinner. Sounded great to us! Boy were we wrong. -_- The food was absolute garbage(undercooked/bland). For 250 a person, we should be served our food, not wait for our table to be called, and the people serving my food should at least know what they're putting on my plate.... There was "fish" with crab inside and when you ask what kind of fish it is(not a complicated question), the genius serving it gives you a look like you're crazy and responds with "it's fish". The bartender had no clue what he was doing and my "server" acted like he's had very minimal human interaction in his life. It really seemed like it was the entire staffs 1st day. If it wasn't for the random people we met at our table, the night would have been completely miserable. On a positive note, the view of the fireworks was fantastic! I was on the Skyline Princess a few weeks back. It was a surprise birthday party for one of our friends. We had a time like you couldn't believe. We were seated at a table for our party. We didn't have strangers seating with us in that cabaret style seating all the other yacht companies do. I hate that. But, here, it was just us. Oh, and there was free parking. Definitely a plus, I live out on the Island and driving to NYC would have been a pain in the *** and also who knows what the parking costs out there would have been. Anyway back to the story Every seat in the house was next to the windows, so we can see all the landmarks and buildings and bridges. The line for the buffet was well controlled. The food was delicious. We got an open bar package and were able to drink from the top shelf liquors or the domestic/imported beers. Not that I was counting, but it was very much worth getting the upgrade. The Dj spun a lot of the hits now days and when we were at the Statue of Liberty, they played all the NY Classics which made you feel like you arrived in this City. Perhaps it was the booze in me, but hey, nothing makes you feel alive than sailing past Miss Liberty while breathing in that harbour air. We had a fantastic time. Needless to say, I'm going back. I wish my review was as positive as I had read before booking but unfortunately our experience wasn't pleasant. We were in NY for 6 days from the 19th January 2014 - 25th January 2014. I had left it late to book a cruise but really wanted to see Manhattan's skyline at evening so I searched the net before arriving to pre book. The only cruise I could find available was the skyline Princess to sail on our last evening in NY on the Friday 24th. So I booked thinking this would be a great end to our already fantastic trip. To our disappointment the boat got cancelled due to 'bad weather' but to our further disappointment we didn't get the message it had cancelled, we arrived on time for boarding time 7.20pm, in the freezing cold weather (-10) as we hit the cold snap, in our nice attire as it was smart casual dress, an hour's journey out of NY in a taxi. We was welcomed on to the boat, our coats and jackets taken from us and my partner actually attempted to climb the stairs into the ceremony that was taking place only to find out it had been re-booked for a wedding and our boat trip was cancelled!!! After some waiting about for what I can only presume was Mr Buck (who organises the trips) came and apologised to us. He did however refund us there and then with our taxi fee's for the journey we had made and back and some dollars which he told us to 'get dinner on them' for the hassle but this then left us waiting in the freezing cold again for a taxi to pick us back up and back to NY. I am absolutely disgusted in the customer service whether we got a refund or not! We hadn't booked a trip to see the statue of liberty due to the fact this cruise went by on the evening and I had also originally pre-booked Broadway tickets for the 24th which I then jiggled about to book onto the skyline Princess. I did eventually receive an email from customer services the day after and I quote 'Kate, Please call us about tonight's cruise. Due to the extreme cold weather, we are cancelling the public dinner cruise for Jan 24th, 2014. Please call to confirm.' but by this time and unaware to them when sending the email, we had turned up and arrived for the cruise and was eyewitness to the fact they had cancelled our cruise because they received a last minute wedding booking. The cruise staff also confirmed this when we asked saying they had received a wedding booking and were so sorry to cancel. In other words the wedding booking made them more money so they fobbed their cruise dinner customers off, disgusting customer service if you ask me. They take you as far south as the statue liberty, then back. you see more than the cruise than any which leaves from west side of manhattan, and much cheaper. The food is ok, the bar is inexpensive, the desserts are fantastic. The dance floor is on roof . Without the food its worth the money so consider that before expecting first class dinning. We booked this for my grandmother's 81st birthday and having never been on a dinner cruise before, didn't know what to expect. We were seated with dinner rolls and shortly after departing were given Caesar salads. One member of our group requested a plain salad with oil & vinegar on the side and they brought one out quickly and were happy to do it. The food was buffet style and everything was excellent. Potatoes, veggies, stuffed shells, and prime rib (omg that was fantastic) were all tasty. I didn't have the chicken or fish but my family members said they were very good as well. The desserts were also yummy and there was a big variety i.e fruit tarts, chocolate mousse, carrot cake etc. All the drinks we got were mixed well and had a good share of alcohol in them. The service was incredible. Our servers were amazing and attentive. Elbin, the manager, gave us step by step details on where we were and even allowed us to bring my grandma up to the captains pit where she steered the boat (exciting for her, scary for the rest of us) The open deck at the front allowed us to have a perfect view of the skyline & Statue of Liberty - smoking permitted. The third floor is a dance floor with a DJ which was fun and upbeat. Captain Arnold coming over to do magic tricks was the perfect ending! Overall a wonderful experience, we will be back!! read more

Went on a cruise in June 2017, it took me a while to write this review because I could not get over the experience; the cruise before was fantastic (July 2015). That being said, this was a completely different experience. In the beginning, all was seemingly going well, enjoyed the food and music, my family, from my mom and dad, my sister and her children, were all happy to be back on the cruise. Until that is we realized that no one was watching the alcohol intake of other passengers. While I was dancing, a man pushed himself on me to dance, seconds later, his girlfriend aggressively pushed me. I immediately told the maitre d and he told me that everything was fine. I told him I was with my family and wanted no issues with people who clearly had too much to drink and that were clearly harassing me. When undocking, I reminded the maitre'd to be weary. He, nor anyone else was not, the girl punches my friend in the face, and then attacks someone else. The maitre d, holds me back, of all people and tells me to calm down, when I had done nothing. We wanted to call the police but the crew just kept dismissing us and allowed the woman and her boyfriend to leave freely. I wish I had the same pleasant experience as the last time, but this failed experience was due to a lack of judgement and care by the crew. I'm sure this is a unique experience as most people are competent and compassionate when it comes to customer care and safety awareness, but best to say, I will never be joining this cruise line again. read more

We booked for the entire family and went on a cruise for my Mothers Birthday in August of this year. Boarding was an hour late due to a late return from afternoon cruise. The AC on the boat was not able to handle the size of the boat. They had installed additional AC units but only was good for people near them, the others sat in a very hot humid boat. Boat appears run down. The waitstaff was useless. We were told out waiter was running late but we never received any service. They tried to charge me a bar bill but I went up to get all our drinks and paid for them. He said I did order but when I asked what we had ordered he had no orders listed for our table. Hence no service for drinks. Bartender was best thing of the cruise. Nice gentleman, very helpful. Food service was poor, they ran out of most of the food by the time we were allowed to go up to get food. I spoke with a supposed manager on the boat and he said he would look into our issues, he disappeared along with our waitstaff. I do not recommend. Waste of money and time. read more

We sailed on the Skyline princess on 05-31-14 for a dinner cruise for my bday. It was 5 adults and 2 children. We paid well over $500 so you would expect the food to be good. Well, the quality of the food was poor. The chicken tasted like it came right out of a freezer bag from Bj's, the fish was salty and fishy tasting, and the pasta was gross. I can't comment on the prime rib because I don't eat beef but a relative informed me that it was just "okay". The pasta was tasteless. The fingerling potatoes, the pre-plated caesar salad (served in a saucer rather than an actual plate) was delicious. The desserts were very good. I must say that they did accomodate the children by making them chicken fingers and fries, which was tasty. I was appreciative that they did this for the kids because our kids are picky eaters. The alcoholic drinks were decent and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. We were on the first deck because there was a party on the 2nd deck so we kind of felt as though we were underground. We had to go upstairs for the dancefloor and the music was just good. The dj was friendly and would play any songs requested. It was cold so we didn't really stay on that deck too long. The boat is old so dont expect it to look like World yacht or the Bateaux. What really made the night special was out Waiter, Michael. He was truly awesome. He was friendly, attentive, hard-working, and ensured that we had everything we needed. Michael made the night special. Please dont go on here if you're expecting delicious food. Go only for the sights and if you want to dance while sailing around the NY waters. I doubt that I would go on the skyline again unless it's for a party or wedding because it is quite pricey. *Quick Review- You're better off going on a 3 hour tour aboard the S.S. Minnow and being shipwrecked on Gilligan's Island than wasting your money on this cruise line. When anyone goes out for a nice evening, there are certain key factors that make the night worthwhile and memorable - The company you're with, delicious food, great atmosphere and music, and excellent service. Thank God I was with my boyfriend, or the night would have been a total bust! When we arrived on the boat, we went to our assigned table and were excited about enjoying our 4 hour escape. We both laughed at the corny background music, and I jokingly said it sounds like bad wedding reception music...not knowing there was actually a wedding on the second floor of the boat! (Which limited us to the first floor instead of all three.) The server came over and introduced himself while we were eating our dinner rolls, and shortly thereafter brought over our Caesar Salads. The salads were absolutely delicious...had I known it was the only edible food on the ship I would have savored each precious bite! I ordered a Peach Bellini, took a sip, and that's when I noticed it - there was a fly floating around my drink. My boyfriend thought I was crazy, assuring me that it must be a seed. "Seeds do not have wings", I told him. We took a closer look and I started to feel like Count von Count from Sesame Street...One, Two, Three Ahh, Ahh, Ahh...Four, Five, Six Ahh, Ahh, Ahh...Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten...Ten Flies in my drink! Ahh, Ahh, Ahh! This was the beginning of our nausea-filled night. We called the waiter over and he seemed completely unaffected by the fact that there was a swarm of insects in my drink. He blamed it on the ice and asked if I'd like another one. I switched to Diet Coke, hoping it came without a winged garnish. Thank God there were no creatures floating around, but the soda was in fact flat. A while later the buffet trays started to come out. We were one of the first tables called up. The first two trays were steamed vegetables and baby potatoes -- They weren't cooked with anything, not even salt. Next was Eggplant Rollatini and Penne alla Voda - Even Chef Boyardee would have been disappointed. There was a chicken dished smothered in sauce and vegetables, sole stuffed with crabmeat, and Ribeye rounded out the last of the 5ft. buffet table. I attempted to eat everything but the fish. I left this putrid task to my boyfriend, who nearly vomited when he bit into it. He described it as, "Fish that tasted like it was soaked in toilet water". Neither one of us are food snobs that expected a gourmet meal, but we literally couldn't eat the food. We spent the rest of the night rotating between our seats and the small standing area at the front of the boat, listening to the DJ play top hits from 1950-1990. Nothing about this cruise was up to date. We made the best of our night, but we were scared to so much as pour the milk in our coffee at the end of the night because we didn't want to tempt fate and get food poisoning. The most insulting part of the evening was that our waiter billed us $12.00 for four flat sodas, assuring us that sodas were not included in our package, which in fact were included in our package. I would not recommend this cruise line to anyone! The sights of the city are beautiful, but enjoy them from a different location. We had a great time being with each other, but we couldn't wait to get back on land and get food in our stomachs! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or your money. read more

We chartered the full boat for our wedding. We dealt with Buck who was fantastic. He was able to answer every question we had. The crew was very attentive to us, as well as our guests. We had multiple guests with physical handicaps/injuries. They assisted each one of them making sure they got on and off the boat, as well as level to level. Everyone had a phenomenal time and is still talking about it days later! We chose a buffet style meal without assigned seating so we didn't want to spend the whole cruise on dinner. It worked out great! Our guests were relaxed and were able to mill about at their own leisure an enjoy themselves which is exactly what we wanted. The food was exceptional. The wedding cake, which was also made by them was to die for. The staff was on point and extremely pleasant. The maître d made sure everything ran smooth. The captain held the boat in front of the statue of Liberty so we could get our pictures. Everyone was extremely accommodating. It was truly perfect!! Would NOT have changed a thing!!! read more

We booked this dinner cruise to celebrate a family birthday. The experience was mediocre to be generous. The food was fair, and the service was substandard. They were definitely under staffed and it was obvious the crew did not know anything about customer service. We had to ask for everything after our assigned server went MIA. The entertainment was prerecorded music only; no live DJ or music as initially advertised. The manager asked how our experience was at the end and when we replied not good, he ignored us and moved on as though he did not care. What a colossal waste of my money and time! read more

TREMENDOUSLY RECOMMENDED! WOW! We just held our sons first birthday party on board the Skyline Princess and it was AWESOME! My friends and family could not get over how unique and exciting it was being on board and seeing the sights of NYC. The waitstaff was very accommodating and the bartender was great too. There was also a DJ that played something for everyone - all ages and all ethnic groups. It was awesome to see everyone enjoying themselves together dancing and partying. To my surprise, the food was AWESOME! My family hosts lots of parties, many of them in the finest catering halls and someone always complains about the food... but not that night, not on board the skyline princess! All my guests raved to me about the food, especially the prime rib. What makes me the most satisfied is to know that my guests truly enjoyed themselves. Usually we are forced to attend a 1st bday party at a hall or restaurant; giving up a valuable weekend night being couped up in a room, more or less against our will. Totally the opposite on the Skyline Princess. My guests were excited to go, excited to be there and sad to leave. One thing is for certain, we will all be back again and again. I was very very pleased with our cruise. It was a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband. The food was very good, and the service was amazing. The staff was very attentive to all tables, and they were very courteous and professional! We were boarded on time and the 4 hours of cruise was plenty of time. There was plenty of dancing and fun on the upper deck, for whomever was on the ship. And I must admit, I was slightly concerned how that would work out for us, considering we were eating on the second deck, but it was perfect, we ate, then went upstairs to dance. I would highly recommend this cruise company to anyone! Every one of my quests called me the next day to express their feelings and not one of them had a bad thing to say, and there were 45 of us! Me and my husband had our wedding last month on the Skyline Princess. It was amazing! It's been 4 weeks and still people are telling us it was one of the best, if not the best wedding they've ever gone to! It was beautiful, it really was. The view is gorgeous, the food delicious, the house DJ was great, and the photographer Buck (also the one who took care of everything) was the best you could ask for. The ship also stops at the Statue of Liberty for pictures. We also had one particular staff member who was just there all night for anything me and my husband needed. The guests were called up by table for a buffet style dinner (food was amazing) but 2 of our guests were elderly so we asked if someone could bring their dinner to them, it was no problem. Whatever we needed or asked for was no problem. We brought our table decorations the day before and the staff decorated each table exactly like I asked. If you are thinking of having your wedding here, do it. The ride is beautiful, the food is great (our guests are still talking how good the food was) and the staff is amazing. Worth every penny, the staff at Skyline Princess made our wedding day exactly what we wanted! read more
