We loved our experience with Skyline Entertainment! They were so professional and easy to work with. We had Spring as our DJ for our wedding and she was incredible!!! She read the crowd SO well. Our guests raved about the music and there was literally not one moment where people weren't dancing and having a great time. My least favorite part of weddings is when there's an awkward lull. Spring did a great job for us. We set up a playlist with the songs we wanted and she incorporated it very well. She helped us choose music for the guest arrival period and filled in with appropriate songs when our playlist ran short. She MC'd nicely and helped keep everything on track. When it came time to dance we gave her the reins and she had a good idea of what guests wanted to dance to. Even though it was a small wedding (37) it was a very fun dance session. What we appreciated most of all about Spring though was her flexibility when we had to postpone our wedding date. We hired Spring Austin for our unconventional baby shower. Instead of a group of women in a backyard we planned a day-time, co-ed dance party with 150 children and adults, from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Spring helped make our party a huge success! Skyline Entertainment is one of the recommended vendors at La Venta and I got in touch with spring. After a quick meeting downtown, I booked with her immediately. With a smaller and more mature crowd for the wedding, I had worried about hiring a DJ because I didn't want a "party" vibe for the wedding. Spring was friendly, charismatic, but also extremely professional. She announced everything perfectly and always checked in with my coordinator (who checked in with me) for timing, along with all the necessary adjustments. It was tough to keep the crowd on the dance floor with the majority of people heading out after cake cutting (Sunday night wedding for a lot of out of town guests). However, Spring did her best and even informed me to change up the timeline a little bit in order to get the garter and bouquet toss before the end of the night. Working with Spring was a piece of cake - she is professional, friendly and organized. Spring worked with us to create a timeline for our wedding day, and often thought of things we would have forgotten otherwise. She also was very focused on making sure we'd love the songs that played. For example, we wanted two different versions of Stand by Me (Lennon and Otis covers, but not Ben E King)... and we wanted some Sinatra but no Diana Ross... basically we had way too many opinions, but she didn't blink an eye, just said no problem Done! Another thing was our wedding slideshow. There are plenty of slideshow services you can use online, but you generally have to pay for full features. So instead, I put our slideshow on a powerpoint and did all the animation myself. The problem was that I didnt' know how to deal with the music - we had 4 different sections and wanted to use different songs for each. Spring did a couple of FaceTime/phone chats with us to discuss the services and any questions we had. Jason ended up being our DJ and he was very pleasant in our meeting with him and also on the day of our wedding. I'm so glad Skyline Entertainment has a Yelp page now because I've been wanting to review Spring as one of my favorite wedding vendors for some time now! I was referred to Spring through some friends of mine who had had very positive experiences with her MC services, and as I was in search of a DJ/MC for our wedding - we met up to go over what we were looking for in a DJ. Let me tell you... Spring is the whole package. She was everything we could have wanted in a DJ, and more. Extremely professional set up, she arrived early to get everything set up for the ceremony set-up and reception set-up, wireless mics, sound quality and volume were excellent and... perfect. She took the time to really find out how to pronounce the names of our bridal party that were questionable in written form which I was so thankful for because I didn't think to tell her how to pronounce the names with everything we had going on with the wedding planning... The music was amazing for the genre's we wanted playing for the different parts of the wedding, from the cocktail hour, to the reception during dinner, to of course the dancing. My wedding day turned out to be exactly how I had dreamt it up to be. I have Spring at Skyline Entertainment to be so grateful for in being a huge part of making my wedding so perfect. I just got married and while planning the wedding has been a roller coaster of an experience Spring and her staff were professional and easy to work with. We live in LA but got married up in Mammoth Lakes. Music is very important to us and we like a wide variety. We go to a lot of festivals and live shows in LA and absolutely love to dance. So do our friends and family. We were particularly concerned with getting a non-cheesy MC who could keep everyone up and dancing. When we weren't finding any DJ's we liked up in the Mammoth area, we decided that we might have to bring someone up from LA to do the job. We found Spring and Skyline on Yelp and thank goodness we did - because we can't say enough good things about her! From a business perspective, I was beyond impressed at how organized, professional and prepared Spring was every time we spoke or met with her. The day of, she had the bridal party names down pat, had her flow of the day printed, and had already met and touched base with all of our other vendors on her own. Our friends and family were up and dancing after dinner (at 7 p.m.) and the dance floor was packed until we ended at 10 p.m. All of our guests kept saying how amazing she was and how they had never been to a wedding where everyone danced that much and for that long. The song transitions were seamless and when she paused the dancing for the traditional stuff (speeches, bouquet toss, pie cutting), the energy of the room never waned. She was great at reading the room and the night was a blast because of her. She's on Spotify so we shared our recommended song lists with her along the way - which was super easy and fun. She used what we provided as a guideline and supplemented her own tracks which were awesome.
