STAY AWAY !! I reserved a trailer rental to move to florida Items that the mover at first said he did not want to move. That changed yesterday - 5 days befre the rental was to begin. I called and told them i no longer needed the trailer . There response was we have a no rewfund policy and you can only get an in store credit. That does me no good becasue I will be in FLorida not Georgia so I would never use it, . Their policy is unacceptable to consumers - i said I would be willing to pay something for the cancellation but thwy refusewd this offer,of fairness . I think them keeping the entire cost is egregious - regardless of what their rental agreement says. They are keeping $630 and refuse to return any of the funds. STAY AWAY COMPLETLY - their policies are extremley unfriendly for the average consumer - do not use them for anything. read more

I'm going to leave a 1 only because 0 isn't a true option to be seen. We rented a trailer today when pulled up there was a tire missing all the lug nuts (shoulda been a sign of what was to come) we made it a whole 30 ish miles to Ellenwood. The SAME tire that didn't have lug nuts started to smoke. Called the company and they said "repairs were my responsibility" after 1. Getting pissed and 2 calling a mechanic we were told the trailer was NOT road ready. The wheel hub was worn to the pint of replacement, there was no hub cap or locking but. There was no grease in the hub. The whole situation was extremely dangerous and very uncalled for. The axle and tires were both unsafe. Absolutely nothing about driving 30 miles would have this much wear and tear. The is absolute disgusting and unsafe maintenance of a trailer read more

This is a business people should be very careful of. I got a one day Trailer rental to VA and when I returned the Trailer, it was inspected and confirmed OK. But then, because I was in a hurry to go drop off the Truck as well, I did not wait to make sure that my account was closed accordingly. Four days later, I noticed that there has been an extra charge of $95 to my account. I then called Dominic to know what was going on. He claimed the charge was for some damage to the same trailer that was already inspected by his worker and confirmed ok. Then I asked to know why he never called to let me know about it, he told me he was too busy to call. So I decided to file a dispute with my bank but Dominic countered my dispute with a fictitious photos that shows no part of any damage whatsoever. So my advise to every renter is to make sure that their account is closed by the time they return whatever equipment they rented and also monitor their account because Dominic has proven to be a crook. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My brother turned in the trailer before they opened and they wanted to charge for another day. Once we found this out, he offered to come back and take the trailer and then return once they opened. They said this would be trespassing. The cops eventually came out and we said that we only wanted to do the right thing and return the trailer ahead of time since they were late getting there that morning. The tiller they rented us was broken right out of the gate , so we had to go with another company for the tiller. I have never heard of more stupid rules by a rental company for their own financial gain. They make up crap as they go. Please take advice from the last couple of reviews listed and take photos and videos of receiving the equipment and returning it. They are just waiting for you to make a mistake and get overcharged for it. I think they sit there all day making up crap to bait and switch and overcharge! I guess they have never heard of referrals!!! Go back and read some of their smart ass comments on these reviews. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Rented an enclosed trailer for a trip to NY and back. Had a blowout on the road and put the spare provided which was the wrong size tire, 14 inch instead of 15 inch. I called when this happened and told Skyline about the blowout. On my way to the tire shop to get the tire replaced the spare they provided also blew out. I called Domonique and told him I suspected a piece of flashing from the trailer was the cause of both tires blowing and sent him pictures. He gave me his approval to bend back the piece of flashing and I replaced the 15 inch tire. I also explained to him that I was not going to be able to get to the office by closing since I had to take an Uber to get the tire replaced. I returned the trailer the next morning and he charged me for the extra day! I told him the right thing to do was not charge me for that extra day since I believe the blowouts were due to faulty equipment. He said the spare provided was only to get me to the tire shop where I could buy another USED tire to put on his trailer. Makes no sense whatsoever!!! Spend the extra money and rent from a reputable business. This guy has no conscious! KARMA is a bitch Dominique!!! read more

Where do I start? DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!! I attempted to tow one of Skyline's trailers for a friend from Atlanta to Arizona. My biggest concern for such a distance was the condition of the tires, bearings, and hubs on the trailer. I've towed trailers for years and know that the bearings are the trailer's weak point. I was assured that everything was good to go and that maintenance had just been done in July. The 1st indication that Skyline was going to be a problem was when the guy at Skyline gave me a spare that can be best described as a "may pop". The tread was already down to the polyester belts. About 500 miles into the 3500 mile trip a car flagged me down and said that one of the trailer tires was smoking. Turns out that the wheel bearing had gone out and almost caught the trailer on fire. I spent 24hrs broken down in a little town called Blackwell, Arkansas trying to get the wheel bearing fixed. I found a quality trailer repair shop named "The Trailer Store" that could replace the faulty bearing but Dominique at Skyline Rental refused to cover the repair! The first thing that he told me was that the trailer was already a day late and that if I didn't pay late fee he was going to file a report and initiate recovery procedures on me. He was more concerned about getting a late fee of 80 bucks or so than he was my safety. He repeatedly stated that his records showed that service had been done on the trailer and that when the renter signed the contract, he was responsible for fixing anything that went wrong with the trailer. He also wanted to know if the dust cap was on the axle and when I told him "no", he went on and on about how the dust cap was the reason that the bearing went out. The dust was on when I picked up the trailer but at some point it had come off. The repair shop found several other issues with the trailer and offered to fix them (axle issues, spindle issues) but again, Dominique refused to have them repair it. I explained to Dominique that this was now and an issue of personal and public safety because once a bearing goes out, the wheel will come off of the axle and can fly into oncoming traffic and kill somebody. He wouldn't budge. All he wanted was the late fee. So since I was towing the trailer, I ended up paying for the repairs and I paid the late fee. 500 miles later down the road at 11:00pm in the desolate Texas Panhandle area, I pulled over in Conroe, TX to get some gas and did a spot check on the trailer. The wheel bearing had gone out again on the same axle and the wheel was hanging off of the spindle!!! So at this point I knew for sure that it was something wrong with the trailer that was causing it to eat wheel bearings. So I spent 13 more hours on the side of the road at the gas station with Skyline's trailer. The following morning I contacted Dominique to tell him that something was definitely wrong with his trailer. But instead of accepting responsibility and offering to help, he hinted that I was the cause of the problems and that maybe I had backed into some bushes and caused the bearing to go out. This was about the dumbest thing I'd heard. I've been towing trailers for over 20 years and backing over bushes, which I never did at any time, has nothing to do with a wheel bearing repeatedly going out on the same axle!! I ended up calling MY insurance company to tow Skyline Rentals raggedy trailer 10 miles down the road to Amarillo TX to an RV lot where the tow truck ended up parking the trailer in a gravel parking lot in back of the store. A family's household goods were still inside the trailer. I spent another 24hrs in Amarillo waiting for Dominique and the renter to make a decision as what to do with the trailer. I ended up abandoning the trailer in Amarillo after reloading the family's household goods onto a Budget truck. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! I spent 2 1/2 days stranded because Skyline Rental trailers were not serviceable enough to make the road trip. Stick with U-haul , Budget, or another reputable company that will stand behind their products. Skyline Rentals are only concerned about making dollar rather than delivering quality customer service. As a homeowner, I can't afford to buy tools for all occasions. I needed a log splitter, and found Skyline Rentals via an online search. The price was great, so I was skeptical. But they were very professional, took the time to show me how to operate (and how not to operate) the machine, which was well maintained and worked perfectly - No fuss, very friendly staff. If you feel like you are getting a deal with using Skyline - THINK AGAIN! - Personnel (multiple employees) will tell you differently but make sure you know what you have signed-off on. They say as a repeat customer you should know their policy, even after a year from last visit. (read what's posted on the wall/on your contract) Record everything verbally if you walk into this place! You should not return after hours as the equipment cannot be locked up. Understood, but when you are given faulty equipment (previously) and you actually have fixed the door hinges on their trailer so it doesn't fall off, you don't get as much as a "Thank You"! So for returning the trailer back 3 hours after close on a Saturday when we could have used for the rest of the weekend I was Penalized $52.50 above and beyond the initial rental fee, for personnel to drive back and lock up the trailer - (They wait for you to do something outside their policy to make quick $). Staff could have been reasonable but accounting staff just has a bad disposition - - YOU LOST THIS REPEAT CUSTOMER !!!!! NOT AGAIN - STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ! I went to rent a piece of equipment and the staff was very rude. Since I needed the tool, I overlooked the rudeness. However, during the course of my transaction, the 2 yr old kid of the owner was terrorising the place and screaming.....Very unprofessional, the service advisor / front desk had to keep repeating herself constantly because this out of control kid. Now, I'm a mother of 4 so I overlooked this also, it could just be a phase. They kept apologizing for his behavior, instead of correcting this. To each their own..(My grandmother said)... I was told the requirements for the rental over the phone and past rentals. It was a different story once I arrived. I drove 47 miles to support this local company because its close to home (local support) but far away from my work, which I was coming from... The owner said that they only hold the rental amount on my card but proceeded to run my card for $150 for a $15 rental for 24 hrs, which i only needed for 2-3hrs tops. (Pls beware of this customers.) I'd rather go to another local business or larger Corporation that has standards and regulations. Most importantly, the last equipment I rented was old and outdated. I had to change the oil and clean the spark plug to keep it running. But I still tried to support them. My visit (3rd time)was a waste of time because I ended up with no equipment.
