A professional, very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly chiropractic center between Courthosue and Rosslyn. Dr. Sansfaute is attentive and has a clearly designed treatment plan. Their "gym" area is fun: on the wall, which resembles a blackboard, are inspirational quotes and fun drawings to keep you going (See photos). The office is clean and modern (the green wall upon entrance is quite something). I love how easy it is to book appointments; their website works great. Dr. Sansfaute listens to your concerns, is understanding, explains everything very thoroughly, and truly seems to genuinely care about your health. His Receptionist/Assistant, David, is also very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The office is clean, well-organized, and is very comfortable. Dr. Jean-Luc has resolved some of the long-standing issues with my back and neck. As an IT/tech person, I found myself in rough shape, especially during the pandemic. I got a referral and committed to the 26-week long program. Since I received a referral, I can use my HSA dollars. After going through all 26 appts and now in "maintenance", I'm 100% better than when I first visited. Sometimes I recover easily after visits and sometimes I have intense side effects, but overall I understand my body is healing itself. Dr. Jean-Luc was able to fix my shoulder by adjusting my vertebrae back in place when another chiropractor couldn't do that and I went to her weekly for three years and she told me it was how I was sleeping. Dr. Jean-Luc helps strengthen your posture, as well! This place is the greatest I've ever been to! David is phenomenal at the front desk too! UPDATE part 2: Leaned more towards accupuncture with Dr. Linton while I am seeing my Physical Therapist. My co workers have staarted to see Dr. Hamidi and plan on going back. UPDATE: I have had 3 sessions with Dr. Hamidi and my first acupuncture session with Dr. Linton was today. I was scared - think Final Destination when they guy falls off of the table with the needles all over him. Dr. Linton explained everything to me and told me "it didn't hurt". Didn't believe him but low and behold......it didn't. There were some times that I couldn't feel anything at all. My feel/ankle area could feel a prick but it felt like a slight bug bite (not even). I was very relaxed as I did back to back sessions - first acupuncture and then with the chiropractor. This was my first time to a Chiropractor so I wasn't sure that to expect outside of youtube videos. The Rosslyn location is perfect - decent amount of street and garage parking.....less expensive than DC. The receptionist was friendly - no wait time. I am planning a visit in a couple of days and will update my review. The main thing I like about this office is: location...services offered - they even do KT tape which I am interested in - covered by my insurance :-). I've been going to Skyline Wellness for a few months now and I'm so glad I did! The staff is always very nice and Dr. Jean-Luc is great! I've had severe back issues for over a year and I feel immediate relief after my appointments. I've had other chiropractors in the area and didn't realize what I was missing from them until I came to Skyline. I like how Dr. Jean-Luc is very precise about head, arm, leg placement when adjusting- the attention to that is important to me as working with the back and spine deserves that level of attention. I also love that they accept (most) insurance! It is hard finding someone in-network and it can get expensive quickly. The fact that they accept insurance is great and removes what would be a huge cost barrier for me. I go once a week and always look forward to the relief that follows!! read more

Dr. Jean- Luc is incredible! To set the stage for this review. I workout everyday. I'm super active and so when i woke one morning, barely able to get out of bed, let's just say I was freaking out. I called the office about two weeks ago, barely able to walk. I couldn't bend over or do anything really. They were booked but figured out a way for me to come in a few hours later. There wasn't a long wait and the new patient process was easy- took about 10 minutes. They accept my insurance (United Health). He greets you with a friendly smile and is so nice. He's very personable and easy to talk to. He did a full scan of my body and figured out what was wrong. Within 5 visits I was able to workout again and this is the best I've felt in years! Disappointed. Called to make an appointment and they advised my insurance was accepted. I confirmed the co-pay for the visit would be the only fee. I was seen within the week. I waited 20 minutes to be taken back. After x-rays staff noted I would need to return for an adjustment. Then staff advised my charge was over $100. For what? My insurance did not pay for the x-ray. I did not question the x-ray because I thought it was included within the initial visit. The practice was not clear that the x-ray was additional. They also failed to include that I would not receive an adjustment on the initial visit. If you choose to visit this practice ask before each service unless you want to pay extra fees. They will not openly share costs or details. read more

This is for the Alexandria location. I see that others have experienced the rudeness and disorganization in this place. If you're new, it will be a nightmare for you unless you don't ask questions, and just do what they tell you to do even if it might not be what you asked for. 1) Do not tell you that your initial appointment is actually 2 appointments and you have to pay twice of course. 2) They do not bother to tell you that you will get your results and see/talk to the doctor the 2nd time. But they do rush you out the door and not a minute later you are charged. The second time, they barely said hello and wanted to strap me onto the machines - before I had even gotten my results and spoken to the doctor. I prefer that I know what is wrong before I begin any medical treatments. 3) Staff might seem friendly, but they are were rude to me and seemed disorganized. I went there 4 different times and I never saw the same desk person. 4) Each appointment that I've had there, they did not explain the procedures - starting from check-in, check-out, through the actual appointment, payment, and what to expect the next time you come in. 5) They called me to try to sell me extra massages that would not be covered under my insurance, but they did not bother to call me back when their system was down and I needed to make an appointment. I had to call them back several days after to check what happened. 6) Although I asked them and made the appointment to start the recommended therapy exercises, the front desk staff said, "Do you know what exercises you're talking about..." and looked at me like she had no idea what she is supposed to do with me. 7) They will burn your back with the heating pads. I felt like my skin peeled off - it was BURNING HOT! 7) They do not tell you what shoes you should wear for the exercise therapy and they do not explain the specific hours for that. I work full-time and cannot get there any earlier than 5:30-6pm on weekdays. When I made my appointment to start the program, I asked to go at 6:30pm and the girl on the phone was just fine with it. When I got there, the exercise lady attacked me basically, and was extremely rude about her hours. She was demanding that I go there no later than 5pm if I wanted to do this. She even had the guts to ask me if I could take off from work 30 minutes early - seriously??? She was extremely rude and visibly annoyed that she had to explain the program and exercises to me. While she was "demonstrating" an exercise, she was off to the side where I could not move my head to see her. The only reason I give 2 starts is that the doctor is knowledgeable enough. the adjustment techniques are good and they have high-tech computers, machines to scan your body and feet. Other than that, the staff does not know their patients, and they expect the patient to know exactly what they are there for and doing, regardless if the patient is new. read more

Don't be fooled by the new renovation and quirky incentives to get you to visit. This place is a crapshoot. Not only is the parking a nightmare but the service is sub par. I went in for a consultation and Dr. Jean Luc literally kept me waiting for 20 minutes in the patient room. I finally peeked out and he was laughing and joking with another staff member. He then came in the room and blamed me for not letting him know I was ready to see him. WTF? Their pricing doesn't warranty their services. Sure they might have newer, fancier equipment, but their front desk staff is lackluster at best and make you feel like they are just rushing to get through with your question so they can get rid of you. Dr. Jean-Luc and Cassandra (at the front desk) are absolutely great! I recently discovered this chiropractic practice after a couple not-so-great experiences with another local chiropractor. I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant, so my back, ribs, and neck have been killing me. Finding such a great chiropractor has really helped me! Dr. Jean-Luc did a complete exam, minus x-rays (given the pregnancy), on my first visit. He actually was the first physician to catch a rapid heartrate issue I've been having due to the pregnancy. I really appreciated his thoroughness. Before the spinal manipulation, you will be placed on your back on a flat bed with a roller inside. They turn on the machine, and it rolls up and down from your neck to your tailbone. This lasts about 10 minutes, and it really helps to relax my muscles before the manipulation. Then you go into Dr. Jean-Luc's office with the standard chiropractor bed. He checks the various points on your back, neck, etc. and makes the necessary adjustments. As previously mentioned, I'm pregnant, so some modifications are necessary. But Dr. Jean-Luc has been great about fixing me up despite the challenges of my ginormous tummy. I should mention that I have not felt rushed while I was in the office, unlike some other experiences I have had with other chiropractors. The rolling bed thing is quite relaxing, and Dr. Jean-Luc spends the necessary time to do the adjustments. I feel like he really cares about making sure that I'm feeling better when I leave the office! Since my chiro co-pay is $35 per visit, I appreciate feeling like i'm getting my money's worth! Cassandra, the girl at the front desk, is extremely pleasant and sweet and very professional. It has been easy to make appointments - and I really appreciated the directions she gave me before my first visit. The building numbers and parking can be a bit confusing, so I would get Cassandra to give you directions before trying to find it on your own. The office itself is clean and attractive. I was suffering from tension headaches and migraine for the past 2 years until I went and saw Dr. Hamidi at skyline wellness. After about 5-6 visits my headaches subsided significantly and he also helped me tremendously with improving my posture. Dr. Hudgins has been a great chiropractor! I came here using a Groupon deal to get relief for lower back pain and to maintain treatment of an old neck injury. She listened to my symptoms, did a very thorough evaluation (xrays, posture eval, flexibility testing), and worked with me on a treatment plan. I've been going back for several months and have moved from rehabilitation to proactive muscle strengthening. The office is working with my insurance, though they are already very reasonable on price. Dr. Hudgins isn't pushy about coming in more often either. She has been great about working with me to create a plan for my body AND my budget. I highly recommend her to anyone with the need for chiropractic care! read more

I've been to a lot of different chiropractors ever since I was 16, I've had bad posture but chiropractors have really helped me get a better posture. I've moved around a lot and have seen a multitude of different chiropractors, around 6-7 in the area. I moved back to my hometown of Annandale, but I am choosing to drive a little further to this place. This is my favorite chiropractor place out of all of them. No one cracks my back like Dr. Jean Luc, and that is why I am willing to make the drive. I've found that every chiropractor has their own techniques, but Dr. Jean Luc's had me feeling my best. I definitely recommend Dr. Jean-Luc as a chiropractor for all your 'back' needs! My husband has been dealing with back problems for years, and I found this practice through much sifting and research. The office itself is very clean, inviting, and they even have a nice selection of Harney & Sons tea while you wait! When we were there, Ms. Cassandra, was the receptionist - she was such a SWEETHEART, very friendly, and answered all our basic questions and such - while I wait, we talked about our pup babies and she shared some really cute pictures of her dog, Taco (as a side note, there was an unpleasant issue with another receptionist that replaced Cassandra, but that experience, I believe, does NOT take away from Dr. Jean-Luc's skills/abilities) . Dr. Jean-Luc himself is extremely knowledgeable, has a great sense of humor, and really cares about your back health. We've never been to a chiropractor before, so we really didn't know what to expect. The initial appointment was a complete check-up which included x-rays, in-depth questions, and we never felt as there was any rushing. The visits were always warm and welcoming, and my husband and I always have a great time. The progress that was made was phenomenal, and you can definitely tell the difference - my husband also complains less (if at all) of his back aches and any other aches he used to have and dealt with for so many years. I highly recommend. Just make sure that they take your insurance (some insurance companies allow a certain maximum per year per patient). I have been suffering from chronic shoulder pain for the past 3 years, which started after a workout related injury at the gym. I have seen countless Physical therapists, as well as chiropractors, and they never really completely fixed the issue. Then I was referred to Dr. Hamidi by one of my crossfit coaches. He did a thorough exam of my shoulder and spine, with x-rays, and came up with a diagnosis and a treatment plan that started to make me feel better immediately. I have been going to Skyline wellness center to see him for the past two months now, and my range of motion has increased significantly and I'm almost pain free. He is so friendly and attentive, I rarely see that in healthcare providers these days. He spends plenty of time on each visit to address my needs, and I never feel rushed. He uses ART, Graston and Kinesio Tapping on my shoulder, as well as adjusting my whole spine. I know all of that sounds confusing, but he explains it so well that I almost feel like an expert! She listened to my concerns and was able to pinpoint the exact problems. She was also willing to upgrade my session from a 30 minute to an hour if she had not worked everything out. This is long overdue, but I have been a client of Dr. Jean-Luc since I moved here 4 years ago. I had a harsh lesson in how bad DC Metro driving can be and was rear ended. Dr. Jean-Luc took the time to take x-rays and showed me how off my spinal & hip alignment was. Facilities: the new office he acquired is awesome. The waiting area is very comfortable and quiet. Before you see the doctor, you get to relax in a very calming, dark room getting stem or massage treatment for 10 minutes or so. Service: I've had good experiences with the front desk and great experiences with Dr. Jean-Luc. He is very professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. I have worked with another doctor at the office (I forget his name), but he was also very good. Hours: I've never had a problem getting an appointment. The office is open enough hours during the week and weekend that it doesn't get overcrowded when you're waiting. Location: very accessible being off 395 on King Street. A downside, which new clients should add into their commute: the parking can be a lil complicated. Call the front desk for directions and give yourself an extra 8-12 minutes to figure it out. It's in the XSport building, but there are different parking levels. Bottom line: I feel better and relieved every time I leave the office. read more

Dr. Jean-Luk is extremely kind, patient, and very gentle. chiropractics is not always the most gentle of feelings so the fact that he is able to do it without making me feel as though I am being rung out like a rag is very comforting. I reached my third trimester and was having bad back and neck pains. He was able to simply look at my posture and knew exactly what needed to be done (no extensive x-rays, no unnecessary treatments beforehand). Without 10 minutes of walking out of his office I realized I was able to sit more comfortably and with no pain. Dr. Jean-Luk and his office staff are fantastic. Dr. Jean-Luc is absolutely wonderful. He and his staff are very nice and easy to get comfortable with. He doesn't just run you through the procedures on an assembly line, he really takes his time and is efficient. I've never felt like the wait was long, always in and out in less than 20 mins. If you've never been, Dr. Jean-Luc will do the consultation and really inform you as to what is going on inside your body, and how to fix it. Go as often as he recommends, do the exercises at home (back strengthening), and you won't be sorry. I had no insurance at the time and paid $50/visit. NOT bad! read more

The front desk is very rude and unhelpful. Also seems to never answer the phone. I needed assistance with parking/directions and received no help at all. Called over 10 times, the phone remained unanswered. Not acceptable. Maybe work attitude of front desk needs to be improved. Had to wait over 30 minutes for my appointment after being early, which wouldn't be a big deal, but they only validate the parking ticket for 1 hour and 15 minutes. As 20 minutes passed waiting for my appointment I asked the front desk if she could tell me how much longer it would take. She was very short and just said "The doctor will fit you in when he can between patients" I'm sorry, I guess I didn't know I wasn't a real patient bc I'm only getting x-rays done? As I had an appointment and had to drive 30 minutes just for those damn x-rays, it would be nice not to be treated as some inconvenience who just walked in unannounced. Once I had my appointment (30+ minutes late), the Doctor (Dr. Czekaj) was great and very knowledgable. I would recommend him but not this facility. Too bad he doesn't work at the Arlington location. Worst management in history! I would give this business 0 stars if I could! I just received a bill from services I received last year. After I was told by Skyline Wellness that my insurance approved me for treatments, I was in treatment for chiropractor services for many months. After my back was better from an injury, I discontinued my treatment. While the treatments themselves were helpful, the management of this company is absolutely atrocious. I am still trying to piece together what exactly happened, whether Skyline never filed an appropriate authorization, or whether my insurance decided to go back on their approval. Either way, receiving a bill of 350+ $ that is almost a year overdue, with no prior warning is unacceptable. After 4 days of chasing tails, I was finally able to obtain an email, and received a phone call from a company who was now hired to manage their billing, since, and I quote what the gentleman told me on the phone "Skyline was not doing a good job, they hired us to do that and you are not the only one receiving a bill like that." We were just hired last week and are trying to catch up with balances. Thanks champ, if that's supposed to make me feel better, it doesn't! So I explained to the gentleman that I did everything, due diligence, on my end, to the best of my knowledge, obtained the approval, paid my deductible and co-pay, switched to Chirocare USA when switching insurance, so I don't see how I should be held accountable for the screw up on Skyline's part! I want to know who dropped the ball, who sent me the approval email, since it came from their info email and was not signed, and that person should be held accountable. The gentleman informed me that this person may not even be there anymore since they have such a high turnaround. I DON'T CARE! If I had a balance, and continued to receive treatments, they should have informed me! He told me the most they will likely be willing to do is offer me a 3 months payment plan and break up my balance into 3 payments. I don't think so Skyline! You are messing with the wrong person! I've been going to Dr. Jean-Luc for the past two years. I was told by an MD to visit a chiropractor for lower back pain which surprised me - I thought that MDs had a strong bias against this type of treatment. I went to visit Dr. J when he was in DC at another practice, and found significant relief (I did stop going against his recommendation, and because I didn't want to trek to King St). When the back problem flared up again a year later, I started going back to his practice in Alexandria. I have gotten almost complete relief from his treatments, and the trip to Alexandria is not bad at all by car from DC if you schedule between 10-2 -- it takes less time from DC than it takes from DC to Bethesda. I'm updating this review, because after several months I stopped seeing Dr. Jean-Luc and starting seeing Dr. Hamidi at the Skyline Wellness Arlington location (who is, unfortunately, no longer at Skyline Wellness). I realized after seeing Dr. Hamidii for a couple months that Dr. Jean-Luc simply gets patients in and out of his office as quickly as possible. Yes, he explained my issues to me at first, and his adjustments helped, but I needed more than JUST adjustments, as a lot of my issues were muscle related. I don't think I ever spent more than 3 minutes in his office, it was just an adjustment and you're out. Dr. Hamidi performed Active Release Techniques on the muscles that were causing problems, did a lot of stretching of the muscles that he notices were really tight, which consequently were one of the route causes of some of my pain. It definitely helped! Sadly, when Dr. Hamidi moved to a location that was no longer convenient, I was force to find another chiropractor for maintenance work. And it was then I noticed the world of a difference compared to Dr. Jean-Luc. Similar to Dr. Hamidi, my new chiropractor said I didn't even need adjustments, that I needed more muscle focused treatment, which she then performed Active Release Techniques and the Graston Technique on me. If you're looking for only adjustments, Dr. Jean-Luc is great, if you're looking for anything further/deeper than that, maybe try a different chiropractor in the office or elsewhere. Got a massage at the Arlington location today based on all the great reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Heather is fantastic. I was a little nervous because I haven't ever had a deep tissue/therapeutic massage before but I already feel better and felt like Heather really listened to me and worked with me - getting a chiropractic consult this week. The office itself is very nice and the staff is friendly and attentive. UPDATED: I got my chiropractic consult and found the chiropractor to be almost too nervous? He rushed through the material and seemed uncertain which made me less confident in what he was telling me. I came in because of very specific pain in my lower back/hip and didn't feel he correlated the X-ray/scans to that pain so I didn't feel any sense of understanding. Overall, everyone is still very kind, flexible, office is great, but I'm trying out the Alexandria office to see if the chiropractor is a better fit for me. read more

Terrible business practice. I never write reviews but this situation needs to be heard to the public. In December of '15 I called Skyline and made sure they took my insurance before I even became a patient. I confirmed this several times with apparently two different employees. They informed me I had 20 or so visits and a $20 copay. Since those visits were good through the calendar year I loaded up on visits and went several times before years end. They even checked and said that the massages (manuals) were covered within the same copay so I took advantage of that a couple times. My first chiro was great but then he supposedly left to the other location and I was not notified. The front desk personnel also changed. After the turn of the year I updated my insurance, it took a couple tries as I have several insurance cards, but my '16 insurance did change. My copay went to a deductible which I had to reach first. Skyline then back billed all my visits, applying my new insurance policy to all my 2015 visits including the manuals they previously said were covered. Then they charged me without my consent. When I called to settle this the lady said yes I was right and said she would call me back with a resolution. Instead I got an email detailing me exactly what I just described... them explaining how they back billed me and their justification. You cannot just say, oh he has a new insurance which we can charge more so let's apply it to his past visits when he was on a different plan to get more $ from him. I replied that sentiment and told my credit card company of the situation to dispute and of course I received no response from Skyline. They just went dark. If you believe that's remotely good, let alone standard business practice then this is the place for you. Unfortunate because they lost a client for good. Shame on you Skyline. Amazing massage session! I got a Groupon deal for a check up and a 30 minutes massage. I would definitely recommend the Chase the licensed massage therapist. The 30 minutes massage with him was so worth it. He's very professional and knowledgeable about his profession. Go to him if you need a massage! I didn't get my chiropractic exam in this location. read more

Groupon Bait and Switch Beware! Initially went to this office using a Groupon. This part of the experience was fine. Once the sessions related to the Groupon were completed, they recommended additional chiropractic sessions. So far, still good. They took our insurance information to determine what our co-pay would be. Front desk came back with $15 per visit. Again, good with that. Went to several sessions only to realize that the amount they quoted was incorrect. We started getting bills for additional amounts not covered by insurance. When I complained to the front office (called at least half a dozen times) and billing (they do not answer their phones and mailbox was full), they said there was nothing we can do about it. We have to pay. Front office miscommunication resulting in additional expenses that I had to pay. Billing that would not support the customer, but rather the doctors office and insurance company. I think this review is in line with all the other Groupon goers. They just want to get you in the door and then try to squeeze as much as they can out of you and insurance.
