First time trying skyline cafe and I'm pretty upset, because how do you offer a paying customer burnt waffles.

Burnt waffles, and cold chicken it was takeout and I only stay 8 minutes away I'm very disappointed

This place was nice! We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't packed at all. The vibe is nice and cozy with 70s music playing the entire time. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered the classic burger and chicken Parmesan. The burger was delicious, the chicken was missing a little flavor but was still good when mixed with the linguini and tomato sauce. This place is off the radar, with a nice inside view and good food.

My first time visiting this establishment and I was pleasantly surprised. Was deciding between the Chicken Ciabatta and the chicken philly cheesesteak and am content with my decision. The sandwich was delicious and the fries were great on the side. Small and crispy with a great seasoning. The price was also very affordable and very reasonable for the amount of food that was provided. There was plenty of interesting art scattered around to keep my eyes wandering and it was a cozy environment. The bathrooms were also clean and well kept. Will definitely return in the near future!

From the outside this place is deceiving. When we got here I was having second thoughts because we went out for my birthday dinner and I was expecting a nice restaurant. Once we got inside it was an almost romantic atmosphere. And I say almost because the servers were talking very loudly and talking to each other from across the room. That was very annoying part of our dining experience. Their food was wonderful. We enjoyed the crab cake appetizer. I loved my soup and it came out before my meal. They offer fresh ground pepper. I had the scallop special and those scallops were cooked perfectly! I wish the risotto and asparagus portions were bigger. Thank goodness we ordered appetizers or I would still be hungry. My husbands jambalaya on the other hand was not as tasty because it was very salty!! They were out of bread. On the menu it says you have to request it. The waitress we had did offer a piece of garlic toast to my husband to see if that would help but he refused. I will say the chocolate martini was delicious. When the waitress brought it out I was confused because it was chocolate colored at all. But she had me take a sip...sure enough it was chocolate and quite yummy! I recommend this place! Great food!

Off of highway 70 in Clayton in a strip mall/plaza. We came for lunch on a Sunday and they were pretty slow - great for us! The waitress was so nice and seated us right away. She suggested the Buffalo cauliflower bites to us for an appetizer and we sure did enjoy them. They were crunchy on the outside and so soft inside, and perfectly combined with the ranch. I wish was there was more with the order, so good. My husband ordered the lamb burger and I ordered the chicken ciabatta. My meal was good, moist and flavorful with a touch of sweetness from the caramelized onions. My husband's lamb burger? Oh THAT was a showstopper. So tender, juicy, and delicious! That will definitely be my next order. The prices are all very reasonable. I can definitely see us back here. Great place to grab lunch!

Pub fries. Soggy and soaked in balsamic.

Every wall is lined with TVs playing whatever game matters most that night, while dollar bills cover the walls like a scrapbook of good times, tall tales, and nights that ran a little longer than planned. The décor nods proudly (and somewhat creatively) to Irish heritage, with touches of green, classic signs, and a love of good beer doing most of the storytelling. It's a place where locals gather, strangers become regulars fast, and the atmosphere is equal parts loud cheers, friendly debate, and comfortable familiarity. Unpolished, well-worn, and full of character, it's the kind of small-town sports bar where the drinks are cold, the TVs are always on, and everyone feels right at home. The menu leans into its claims of Irish roots with a lineup of familiar pub classics--hearty, comforting dishes that feel right at home alongside a pint. But as solid as those classics may be, the real standout is the good old pub burger. Cooked exactly the way you ask for it--perfectly rare, juicy, and full of flavor--it's the kind of burger that reminds you why simplicity done right always wins. My latest experience (a few months ago) will be my last. The service here just ruins the experience. We've had issues here with poor service many times but I've always let it slide. Workers are consistently not friendly and just seem disinterested in their customers and their jobs. Went in with my 2 sons for hot dogs and beers like I've done many times before. We fill out our hot dog orders and stand at the bar a good 10 minutes as the 2 people behind the bar completely ignore us. They were not super busy- just a few bar patrons and two couples sitting at a table drinking. No one came to take our hot dog tickets, or drink order. The one bartender (female) clocked out and bolted after 5-6 minutes. The other bartender (male) never came to our end of the bar like we were invisible. They both saw us, they both knew we had been standing there for quite a while, they just didn't care. I think neither of them wanted to cook hot dogs. We decided to just leave and go elsewhere. I didn't make the decision to leave lightly. I waited longer than I should have and even asked my youngest son what his thoughts were (he is as calm, patient, and level-headed as they come so I deferred to him). He said we should leave since they obviously didn't need our business. Why can't this place just have a dedicated person to cook and do odds and ends and not share the cooking duty with the bartender who often times has no interest in doing so? Such a bummer since this is a cool place with good vibes but they hire the worst employees. Here's a novel idea for the owner- offer just a little better pay to attract some better workers and I'll bet that would increase your business and more than offset the increased costs. But Nope! Owners just never get it and insist on cutting costs at the expense of losing customers due to bad experiences. Done with this place.
