Crab Cake Sandwich with Pasta Salad
    Theresa M.

I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich and macaroni salad. We all enjoyed the Pub Fries appetizer - Yum! The hummus was delicious, too; especially with the pita bread! My daughter wasn't thrilled about her chicken buffalo wrap but loved her dessert and the pub fries. Her girlfriend enjoyed her salmon and bread pudding, as well. A nice, casual atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive. In the area, Check Them Out!

This place was nice! We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't packed at all. The vibe is nice and cozy with 70s music playing the entire time. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered the classic burger and chicken Parmesan. The burger was delicious, the chicken was missing a little flavor but was still good when mixed with the linguini and tomato sauce. This place is off the radar, with a nice inside view and good food.

My first time visiting this establishment and I was pleasantly surprised. Was deciding between the Chicken Ciabatta and the chicken philly cheesesteak and am content with my decision. The sandwich was delicious and the fries were great on the side. Small and crispy with a great seasoning. The price was also very affordable and very reasonable for the amount of food that was provided. There was plenty of interesting art scattered around to keep my eyes wandering and it was a cozy environment. The bathrooms were also clean and well kept. Will definitely return in the near future!

First time trying skyline cafe and I'm pretty upset, because how do you offer a paying customer burnt waffles.

Burnt waffles, and cold chicken it was takeout and I only stay 8 minutes away I'm very disappointed

From the outside this place is deceiving. When we got here I was having second thoughts because we went out for my birthday dinner and I was expecting a nice restaurant. Once we got inside it was an almost romantic atmosphere. And I say almost because the servers were talking very loudly and talking to each other from across the room. That was very annoying part of our dining experience. Their food was wonderful. We enjoyed the crab cake appetizer. I loved my soup and it came out before my meal. They offer fresh ground pepper. I had the scallop special and those scallops were cooked perfectly! I wish the risotto and asparagus portions were bigger. Thank goodness we ordered appetizers or I would still be hungry. My husbands jambalaya on the other hand was not as tasty because it was very salty!! They were out of bread. On the menu it says you have to request it. The waitress we had did offer a piece of garlic toast to my husband to see if that would help but he refused. I will say the chocolate martini was delicious. When the waitress brought it out I was confused because it was chocolate colored at all. But she had me take a sip...sure enough it was chocolate and quite yummy! I recommend this place! Great food!

Off of highway 70 in Clayton in a strip mall/plaza. We came for lunch on a Sunday and they were pretty slow - great for us! The waitress was so nice and seated us right away. She suggested the Buffalo cauliflower bites to us for an appetizer and we sure did enjoy them. They were crunchy on the outside and so soft inside, and perfectly combined with the ranch. I wish was there was more with the order, so good. My husband ordered the lamb burger and I ordered the chicken ciabatta. My meal was good, moist and flavorful with a touch of sweetness from the caramelized onions. My husband's lamb burger? Oh THAT was a showstopper. So tender, juicy, and delicious! That will definitely be my next order. The prices are all very reasonable. I can definitely see us back here. Great place to grab lunch!

Pub fries. Soggy and soaked in balsamic.

The cocktail menu is on the smaller side but well-curated. Prices are reasonable ($11-$12 per drink). Our group especially enjoyed the Manhattan, the smoked Old Fashioned, and the Paper Plane--each one was well-balanced and flavorful. That said, the bartending staff seemed a bit inexperienced. Several had to refer to recipe cards, which slowed things down, and they weren't confident making drinks off-menu. With some more training and time behind the bar, this should improve. There's also a food truck on-site. We didn't get a chance to try it, but the menu looked appealing and gives us a reason to return. Overall, a fun spot with a strong foundation. Every wall is lined with TVs playing whatever game matters most that night, while dollar bills cover the walls like a scrapbook of good times, tall tales, and nights that ran a little longer than planned. The décor nods proudly (and somewhat creatively) to Irish heritage, with touches of green, classic signs, and a love of good beer doing most of the storytelling. It's a place where locals gather, strangers become regulars fast, and the atmosphere is equal parts loud cheers, friendly debate, and comfortable familiarity. Unpolished, well-worn, and full of character, it's the kind of small-town sports bar where the drinks are cold, the TVs are always on, and everyone feels right at home. The menu leans into its claims of Irish roots with a lineup of familiar pub classics--hearty, comforting dishes that feel right at home alongside a pint. But as solid as those classics may be, the real standout is the good old pub burger. Cooked exactly the way you ask for it--perfectly rare, juicy, and full of flavor--it's the kind of burger that reminds you why simplicity done right always wins. Served up hot and fresh by a friendly face that treats you like a regular, it's not just a meal, it's part of the experience: honest food, genuine hospitality, and a plate that keeps people coming back. I normally do not like leaving bad reviews and very rarelyeave such a low score especially.on a place I like normally. We were seated right away which was nice since there were busy. It was at least 5 minutes before our waitress came and asked us for our drink orders, maybe longer. She seemed to be having a bad night, very unfriendly no smile, was very avious she was not happy. She brought us our drinks and asked of we were ready. They had the boneless wing speacial so wife and daughter got those and I got 12 Jumbo hot wings. They also ordered salads and I ordered loaded potato skins for an appetizer. It seemed to take forever, which I was understanding since there were busy. Eventually the salads came. Wait the ranch dressing for the wings came out 1st. As they ate thier salads I wondered if maybe she didn't get my order for the potato skins.... Eventually she bought 2 orders of wings.my daughters 12 and a big plate of wings. She was like yea the kitchen is crazy this is what they sent. It was a whole bugbplatebof boneless wings. She then brought my jumbo wings. I asked her did you not get my potato skins order... she non-shalontly said yea I got them, im waiting on them and she said something abiutbtheres a new guy training and blames them. We'll no because potato skins were way over cooked the top was dark and the inside were dark as well. My wife tried one and my daughter wouldn't even touch them. The boneless wings were so dry and over cooked. My wings looked ok but they were also hit wings so the were drenched in buffalo sauce as they should be. They ok a little over cooked but we're ok. The Boneless wings were over cooked and dry. The atmosphere was typical of a trivia night which was good. The waitress was horrible no personality almost an attitude even though I tried being nice. No thank you.no have a good night, nothing. I understand people have bad days but if your in the business you just cant be this way. I love this place except for the bathroooms.. which I wish they would update thier bathrooms. I hope maybe if they read this review they can adjust. Yes we got sone extra wings for whatever reason but they were still sry and overcooked.

I ordered the chicken and waffles along with the banana pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The waffles were okay, but they were nothing special. They reminded me of the waffles you make at a hotel breakfast where you pour the batter into the waffle maker yourself. They were just plain waffles with syrup and didn't have anything that made them stand out. The chicken strips were the biggest disappointment. They were incredibly bland. It didn't taste like the chicken or the breading had been seasoned at all. The only sauce they included tasted like sweet chili sauce, which just didn't go well with chicken and waffles. I've had this dish at other restaurants where the flavors really come together, but this version completely missed the mark. The banana pancakes were some of the driest pancakes I've ever eaten. The bananas were dry, the pancakes were dry, and there was almost no flavor. I didn't think it was possible to mess up banana pancakes, but these were terrible. The eggs and bacon were fine, but they were just average. Nothing about them stood out. For the price, I expected much better food. I ate the eggs and bacon, but the pancakes went straight into the trash. I took one bite of a chicken strip, ate about a quarter of one waffle, and threw the rest away because I just couldn't enjoy it. Overall, this meal was a complete disappointment and definitely wasn't worth the money. Based on this experience, I won't be ordering from Eggs Up Grill again.
