Had a sandwich there once, it was alright, but great pizza on Friday... Espresso seems okay too.

What got me to drop by this eatery and do takeout was a doubles BOGO deal on Uber Eats. I had a wonderful first experience that I returned for more. My first order consisted of these items: - Lamb doubles (BOGO) - Small chow mein with jerk chicken My second order was similar, except that I went with shrimp doubles. The BOGO deal on my doubles was still available. Uber Eats gave me an estimated time of ten minutes to have my order ready both times. I got there well after the stated ready time. Kish's is in a plaza with other eateries. I had no problems backing into a parking spot both times. I walked in. The first time, the woman behind the counter was on the phone. I waited patiently for her call to terminate before I let her know that I had an Uber Eats order. She was so friendly. She nodded and got my order. I thanked her and left. The second time I was there, it was clear that she was in the kitchen preparing food. I waited a bit without dinging the bell on the table. A man came in and thought it was weird that I didn't ding the bell. It was clear that service wouldn't be faster if she was the only staffer handling everything. Two of her colleagues were hauling in beverages from their minivan that was parked next to my car. The same woman came over. She was still her friendly self. I got my order and thanked her. The man wanted a double. He asked how long it would take. He definitely was in a rush. I was happy to leave. Each double was wrapped carefully in paper, with both ends twisted to seal everything in. The doubles were then placed in a paper bag. The paper bag eventually became damp due to condensation. It was amazing to me that none of the sauce oozed out. The lamb doubles were amazing. There were generous chunks of lamb with chickpeas. The meat wasn't gamey. It was tender and yummy. Everything was flavourful and perfectly done. The double was fluffy. It was delightful to eat this double... er, twice. I recently had the shrimp ones. You get whole shrimp in each double. It was also yummy. I enjoyed the change with shrimp that were done right. No rubbery shrimp. Each was also full of flavour. I got the small chow mein jerk chicken because I didn't know how filling I'd be eating the doubles alone. This meal felt more like a large order. I loved it so much the first time that I ordered the same thing again. It's not the al dente chow mein noodles that make this dish. They were enjoyable to eat because they were chewy and shorter in length than you'd expect regular chow mein to be in Chinese dishes. It's the jerk chicken that is the main event. OMG! It's awesome jerk chicken. It was flavourful with all the spices. The chicken was boneless and so tender that you could tear it apart with your fork. It was such a comforting dish. It was nice to have corn in the chow mein. So good. I ended up splitting this order into two meals. I'd have a double with half my chow mein jerk chicken. I'd do it again the following day. The flavours sink in even more a day later. There is a lot of seating at this eatery. One of these days, I'll sit down and check it out. It's a nice change to have this eatery close by my workplace. I can see myself having lunch here when it's not super crazy at work. Otherwise, I am perfectly fine grabbing takeout, especially after work. The food is excellent. Staff are nice and hard-working. I love the food and service here. I'll be back again for more good eats. (354)

I've tried tacos from other places and I can still say this is the best tacos I've had in Mississauga. Now I come here frequently with my boyfriend whenever we feel like having tacos. We usually get five tacos each whenever we come. Last week, we came to get our usual. I got a Bang bang shrimp, pescado, the chicken pastor, the birria, and the Thai sweet chili cauliflower. He got two chicken pastors, a Bang bang shrimp, a Carne asada, and a pescado. I tried to order an elote but it seems they were out. I've already tried it before and just wanted to relive the goodness, so it was no big deal. It was quite busy that Sunday afternoon (we usually go on Thursday afternoons which is far less busy) but we were able to grab a table. The tacos were amazing as usual. I like how they use different tortillas for each tacos which complement each the protein inside the taco. For example, they double wrap the chicken pastor, and the birria tacos use a tortilla that can handle the dip. I also love their choice of toppings. I think the hickory sticks with the Carne asada work so well together, and the chicken pastor with the pineapples are so delicious. When we got the chicken pastors that Saturday, they didn't put pineapples on ours, but I assume they ran out. I've actually tried all of their tacos, and my favourites are definitely the Bang bang shrimp and the Pescado. The flavours just hit! I was pleasantly surprised by the Thai sweet chili cauliflower one. My boyfriend was telling me deep fried cauliflower tastes way better than normal cauliflower, and this taco delivered. The Thai sweet chili flavour really works. If you are planning to order 4+ tacos at a time, note that they deliver the tacos generally at the same time. I would resist the urge to wait until all tacos are on your table before eating as the tacos will cool down. Some tacos can handle the wait (like the birria) while other tacos are best enjoyed right away (like the shrimp and pescado). Overall, an amazing place to get tacos. Make sure you also try their other dishes, as well as their drinks, as they are quite unique and delicious too!

Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and the sauce goes so well with the shrimp. I unfortunately underestimated the wait time for this place. I ordered via UberEats on a weekday evening, after finishing work in the area and was floored by the 40min estimated wait time, for 2 whole tacos. I really should have cut my losses and cancelled my order I was only about 10 minutes away but very far from home so I went ahead to double check if the wait time was accurate. They did take the full 40 mins. There were 2 staff on site, but only one person that seemed to do the cooking. Great tacos, but 40 mins is crazy. It's pretty pricey (like restaurant pricing equivalent) so combined with the long wait and slightly out of the way location, Im not exactly dying to come back. If you do decide to go, definitely order in advance. There's lots of parking there and lots of seating. What's odd is when I went, there were only 3-4 tables out of 10+ in use and it wasn't that busy inside the store, so who knows if it's a one off thing or they are always understaffed?

My workplace is a five-minute drive to this eatery. It occupies the space that was Starbucks. When I walked in, I could still spot subtle reminders of this cafe, from the baked goods display when you place your order, to the Starbucks green upholstery. The Burger Alley did a great job adding its own design flair to it. I especially liked the zen rocks and shrubs. I like that there are more Halal burger joints popping up around my workplace. A decade ago, Burger Factory was the lone eatery. It's nice that there's competition, which includes Gladiator Burger and Steak, Chainsmoker Urban Barbeque, and now, The Burger Alley. This place accepts debit and credit cards. I never have cash on me, so I don't know about its acceptance. For burgers, it offers beef and chicken. So far, I have only done beef because it is excellent and I crave it. One of these days, I'll go with a chicken burger. My burger of choice is the Avada Kebabza beef burger. It's yummy! The beef in this burger was delicious. It was so juicy that at one stage, the juices were dripping down my left hand to my wrist. The bun was soft and toasted. It tasted like a potato bun. The lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and pickles were so fresh. The beef bacon was so good. Halal. Yummy. I also got caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms. If you like cheese, this place splurges on real cheddar and swiss cheese slices. The pickle slices are perfectly tangy and crunchy. I love the coleslaw. It was crunchy and enjoyable. The fries were excellent. They were crispy and had the best masala seasoning. Even with the most garlicky mayo on top, these fries remained crispy from start to finish. I was impressed. This place has a decent selection of pop. I've tried a lot of drinks here. Diet Coke. Crush grape and cream soda. For an exotic change-up, I tried a Salaam Cola. It's yummy. It's got a milder cola taste than Coke or Pepsi. I liked the can's design. There were two gender-neutral washroom stalls. I used one when I got there and just before I left the eatery. It was clean and nicely maintained. It's an excellent burger joint. Its original location is in Scarborough. I'll need to visit it someday. In the meantime, it's nice that I can grab a burger for lunch when I'm in the office and be content. (65)

I was so excited to find a spot closer, since they recently opened a second location. When I tell you the first thing I do when landing from a flight is go home and straight to the shower, you gotta know that this spot must be special because I did a detour on my way home and stopped here first for a bite. I couldn't make it to their grand opening but I was so glad that it's only 10 minutes from the airport. The burgers are amazing and one bite is all it took to remind me that they were just as good as I remember them to be last time I had it. I also added some alley fries and a salaam cola to the order this time, but I don't like the garlic sauce used for the fries though the seasoning is perfect. The burgers are hands down my favourite and I'm totally coming back often. I love that you can choose from so many different options and they've got multiple chicken burger options too.

I've been here a couple of times. The first time was after work on a Wednesday. There was plenty of parking after 4 pm. I returned on Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. The parking lot was busier, but there were still a lot of available spots. I had the following items during my first visit: - Mango lassi - Chef's special Ande Ka Funda The latter states that it's mild. It's an egg dish. I was greeted by Feni, who was my server and exceptionally patient with someone like me who had never had northern Indian-style eggs. Everything on the menu is vegetarian. The mango lassi was delicious. It was thick. I could taste the yogurt. The mango provided the perfect sweetness. I loved whatever the topping was. The chef's special came out next. It was a production that I didn't anticipate. There were a couple of eggs in a nicely spiced curry sauce with grated cheese on top. Fanny came out with a blow torch to melt the cheese and see flames. She suggested that I mix everything up. I started with a spoon. She said that two would be even better. I highly recommend two spoons to mix. The eggs ended up being cooked in this sauce that had more kick to it than the stated mild. The flavours were amazing. The two eggs had body to them. The yolks were set, but weren't overly cooked. There was also chopped egg in the sauce. There was lots of protein in this meal. It kept me satiated for hours after consuming this dish. I got two roti that were rolled out thinly. They were yummy. It was difficult to scoop up the sauce with one. I did the reverse and tore the roti, piled on the sauce and egg, and used a spoon to eat everything. It worked nicely! The sauce was creamy and thick, thanks to the melted, torched cheese. In hindsight, getting the bun would have made scooping up the sauce and egg easier. I'll do that next time. I got a little call button in case I needed anything, which included more roti. I didn't need more. The sauce was so good that I ended up eating it on its own. I used the washroom before I left. It was clean, but the toilet paper refills needed some attention in the stall that I used. Yesterday, I returned to get more Limca and Thums Up, which are Indian soft drinks. I have had Thums Up before, but Limca was new to me until I saw it here. This history of these drinks is fascinating. In the late 70's, Coca-Cola withdrew from India. Regulations stated that the company needed to disclose its soft drink's formula and more. To fill this void, Thums Up was created to replace Coke. Similarly, Limca was created to replace Sprite. Both products did exceptionally well in India that Coca-Cola ended up buying Thums Up and Limca in the early 90's to compete with Pepsi for soft drink supremacy in India. I like Thums Up. It's fizzy and has a spicy, sweeter flavour than Pepsi. I wish that it came in a sugar-free version. I like to indulge now and again. Limca has my heart. It's got stronger lemon and lime flavours than Sprite. Again, I wish that there were a sugar-free version. I liked this drink a lot more than Sprite, mainly because I like strong citrus flavours. This place takes credit and debit cards. I don't know whether it takes cash. Feni was wonderful and I appreciated her answering all my questions. She's a gem. I'm happy that I can get yummy food and authentic Indian drinks here. I am becoming a regular. It's easy, especially when this eatery is close to the office. (104)
