The business was a bit hard to find because it is located behind dominos pizza at the corner, but if your're coming from whittier blvd from greenleaf its the 2nd block left turn. Great services! The workers are very welcoming and entertaining. The place is nice and has a very calming feel. They do waxing and threading. They are very clean and sterilizes their equipment which is a plus for me :). I came in and they told me about this new manicure which was called the gel manicure. I tried it and now I'm in love with it! i had my nails done for a week now and the color hasnt chipped! and best part its still shiny like the first time i did them! I will definitely go back! Oh yeah they do crazy nail designs too! I recently moved to this area. I needed a manicure and pedicure. I didn't feel like driving to the place I love to go. Yelp indicated this was the closest to where I live. This place is literally across the street from my house. I went around 5 pm on Saturday and was told if I could come back in an hour because they were busy. I did come back. The lady who did my manicure was okay. Felt a little rushed because there was someone else waiting for a gel manicure. The pedicure lady was great. She took her time. Gel manicure is the way to go! Why haven't I been doing this all my life, seriously? I love it! Its not powder its more like a gel polish that is UV light dried and stays on for 2-3 weeks, tell me your regular manicure stays on that long without chipping?! I don't think so. Judy is the owner and totally took me in 30 minutes before closing time and didn't rush and give me a half-a$$ed manicure. She took her time and made sure I liked what she was doing. The gentlemen doing my pedicure was also very thorough, and Boy did he get up in there! Because they did such a great job I sent my mother, aunt , my 2 sisters and my cousin right in after me and they all loved what they did for them MINUS my sister (the bride!!) who was getting her Gel manicure for her wedding. The man working there did her manicure and it came out less than perfect (ergo minus the one star) so if you go get Judy or the other female technician to do the manicure and leave him to do the pedicure and you won't be disappointed. read more

Let me count the ways in which I love this place: 1) The owner, Judy, is very nice and knowledgeable. I always get pedicures by her college-aged daughter who is there on weekends. It's so fun to be able to have a pedicurist you can chat away with! 2) They never try to push add-ons or upsells, which I appreciate. 3) They use OPI. Let me say this again, they use OPI!!! Not the cheap stuff you normally find at nail salons, but my beloved OPI and no surcharge either. 4) I don't get weird looks for bringing my own top coat. 5) Unlike other salons in Whittier, you don't have to worry about a man at the counter yelling for someone to come from the back. Also, it is never loud in here. This is the most serene nail spa I have ever visited that didn't run in the $$$ range. I think five reasons is sufficient to attest to my adoration. read more

Perfect for a routine mani and pedi :) I like this place, I won't say love because that's an overstatement. I do favor this place over many other traditional nails salons though. It's clean and the nail technicians are friendly ,they keep their salon tidy and there is usually soothing music playing the background. Had a gel polish mani today for the first time. It was also my second visit to Skyy. On my first visit I had the male doing my mani.. I was not happy. Today I had the woman who is in her late 50's? with lip injections. She was great. My gel mani looks great! I hope it is worth the $35 mani/pedi price! I was also pleased with this place because they do not try to push extra services on you and do not speak excessively in their language witch can make you feel they are "gossiping" about you. I will def be back here and am happy with the service.. A great day of mani/pedi and an hour foot massage for $20 3 doors down. read more

Love love love love - did I say love? This is not your typical nail shop in which everyone is angry at the world and barely speaks English. You are always greeted with a smile and can actually have a decent conversation with the nail techs. BOMB naisl by the way. I always get gel nails (very affordable here). This last time I went they did an amazing leopard print design - amazing!! It's always clean and sanitized. So clean, affordable, friendly - what else can you ask for? I found this place while driving around on a Saturday morning after Girls Girls Beauty Bar in Uptown Whittier let me down (see Yelp review). They have about 6 pedi massage chairs, 4 manicure tables, and a large selection of OPI lacquer. The place is a bit small but cozy and not too crowded. The prices are EXTREMELY cheap! $23 for a mani/pedi and about $35 if you upgrade to the gel mani. They aren't pushy up-sale people either which I enjoy! I have been there twice and it appears it will be my go to place. Place appears to be clean. They also do threading and waxing. There is ample parking. They take credit cards. read more

Its really hit or miss at this place. I walked in for a basic manicure and pedicure. The woman who did my nails, Janet, really didnt give a **** about my nails. It as a very sloppy job. The nail polish was not applied delicately, leaving smudges, streaks and bubbles. Please, do your self a favor and do NOT go with Janet. It brings the quality of the nail salon way down. Although there was very limited colors, I did appreciate the cleanness of the place. They autoclave their instruments and scrub the foot-soaker-tub after every use. read more

Came here because my normal technician was full all week. I got a pedi and a fill. Whoever did my pedicure was very kind and did a good job. My fill was horrible. She rushed. My nails were not even, the edges were messy and the fill and nail quality was lumpy. I got light color and she only put two coats. They look see through. It's been a week and one nail has chipped and two nails are lifting already and about to come off. read more

I was in the area having my car serviced across the street from the location being that it was a walking distance away, I decided to spend my waiting time getting a pedicure as well as manicure. I was the only customer for the first ten mins which was not bad compared to having a long wait time, Janet was very nice probably the nicest nail technician I've had the pleasure to sit in their chair. Nails are okay as far as nails are concerned I don't like a thick coat of acrylic but these are really thin to the point they're sharp around the edges also just left more excess nail polish on my fingers than I'd like at $4 for diagonal stripes on both ring fingers and $1 ATM fee total was $42. read more

I have gone to alot of nail places around Whittier and the surrounding cities. I stopped in here because of the low price for Gel nails. I see today, there are bubbles on my nails., very poor job. I've been here a few times and I don't know why I don't just stick with it! They are very nice here. Everything is clean and it doesn't smell all chemically. I also appreciate the fact that they will do your pedicure and THEN sit you at the manicure station to do your manicure. I hate it at other places that do your manicure when you're still sitting in the pedi chair. I have only come here during the week and earlier in the day, so I can't say how busy it can get. I waited about 15 minutes last time. I will be back for sure! read more
