I have to remind them always that I'm not getting what I want before they start painting (often they do the shape and length they want, ignoring my request). What a great place that I tried on a whim conveniently located at the Whittwood center where you can get other errands and shopping done in that area. I went in for a fill and a pedicure and I was able to find my new favorite nail shop! They have a great selection of colors, the space is open and full of natural light. I got a short acrylic fill, gel color and my nails were shaped beautifully. I love the color with matching toes, perfect for every day wear. My daughter went in to get a mani-pedi with French polish and to have her eyebrows done. For her manicure, they used a clear pink polish, which looked fine for the French style. But they painted her toenails a completely different neutral color. When she politely asked if they could match her toes to her nails, they told her it was "too late" because they were already done. The worst part was her eyebrows. They took out an entire strip, leaving them extremely thin and uneven. One brow even has a noticeable section missing. It was nothing like what she asked for. My nail tech of 5 years recently relocated to this location, so you know I had to follow her. Wherever Jenny goes - I go! She brought even more DND nail colors than I could ever imagine! Jenny uses brand new utensils for each service and opens the sealed packet in front of you. Her attention to detail is truly unmatched. Which is why Jenny is the queen of nail designs. She has only been at this location for about a week or so. Therefore, I'm allowing her some grace to get nestled in. Other than that, I'm just so happy to have her closer to home now. Left in tears, literally. I came in for a Gelx set with a neutral French. First sign (and shame on me for not leaving) was that the place was messy, there were dust bunnies in each corner, the tables were stained, chairs ripped/peeling and stains on towels. First, the older lady who serviced me was nice, but she cut me immediately on my pinky, slight bleeding and she apologized. I had to ask her to clean under my natural nail, seemingly she was just going to apply gel x over half done clean up of my natural nail. Then her application of the gel x glue/adhesion to the natural nail was terrible. She only measured my right hand, which any seasoned nail tech would know that not both nail beds on each hand are the same size. Then while it's too late and I'm too far in, there's air bubbles, the most detrimental thing to happen to application of gel x (see picture of clipped nails but air bubble on side showing improper application and adhesion of gel x nail). Then her application of the French, just terrible, crooked and blotchy. I was trying to convince myself it would be fine. The set was done, but i took a picture and sent it to my gf without "leading the witness" so no context. Her immediate reply was "I'm sorry , this is the worst set I've ever seen". I was already outside at this point and i burst into tears bc i know that was honest and true statement. I went back in, even with anxiety and requested a refund, i was calm and respectful and i showed the manager(?) the air bubbles and blotchy french and she insisted that they can fix it. At this point, i don't have another 1.5 hours to fix, i think to fix they would need to take them completely off due to air bubbles. I said i would just like a refund, even if you have to take these off i want a refund. She said ok. They clipped my nails, and here's where i feel like they embarrassed me or were defensive, i was totally expecting them to take them off and leave me on the same state in which i came in, natural nails. She said no we'd have to charge you for removal. WHAT, removal of these poorly applied nails? She walked away after i tried to explain it was poor work and she said that she offered to fix it but i wanted refund instead. At least she gave me a refund, with receipt but it was in poor taste. They have no pride in their work or reputation. It was embarrassing as i did not want any of this! I wanted decent nails, what i was supposed to pay for, not for bad nails to be clippied in front of other women and then dismissed like it was my fault or i was trying to cheat them. I did a walk in manicure with gel and they were very accommodating. Jenny is such a great nail tech! She did a great job removing my previous gel polish, quick and efficient + she shaped my nails evenly. I feel like I always have to ask for nail techs to file off a tiny spot in the corner that they missed at other places I go to and to match the length of my nails but Jenny is on top of it! Will definitely go back to this place for my next mani-pedi. read more

I made an appt to come back at 2:00 pm and this is the result. I will go back again. The owner and her sister are the only two, but they are professional. Gave this place another shot and service is AMAZING!! There are new workers Lina & her sister give 7 star service. She gives you water, Starbucks Frappuccino or a soda. There's a table full of snacks. They give you the service that you ask for. They are open to suggestions unlike other salons that roll their eyes or talk their language when you ask for something. I went in for gel x nails last minute, which I was grateful to find somewhere that could see me right away. But I was disappointed in the overall service. First of all, the person that helped me used a crusty applicator when applying the nails which I could have looked past but they left a hard residue under the nail once they cured it. They took some of it off but not all and it felt gross. The person that was applying the gel also wiped the gel on my fingers when they got gel on theirs. Like cleaning it off on me! I could see that people that come here have a great relationship with some of the nail techs here but I wouldn't come back after that service I got. Have always passed by this nail salon and curious to try it out. Was welcomed by Lina who let me know I could have a walk in appointment in 30-45 minutes so I ran some errands at target and Kohl's and Vans nearby. Came back to get my acrylic nails removed and have a simple clean manicure done. Marie was gentle and very careful removing the old nails I didn't get any cuts. Both Lina and Marie made me feel very welcomed and comfortable, unlike other salons that don't really talk to you. I'm very happy with the service and manicure I got here!! I went here once and got a pedicure and It lasted a long time. My cuticles looked really good. This time for some reason my cuticles looked terrible a few days later. I also heard one of the women pressuring a younger woman to get the gel finish. She mentioned at least four times that she did not want gel and finally acquiesced under the pressure. The woman was also asking her a lot of personal questions. I really don't like this about nail shops. I prefer the shops where no one asks you anything! read more

I have only been here to get my eyebrows waxed and they always come out perfect, Lena does them and I'm always obsessed with them. For a man, I like my eyebrows to look thicker and clean, she asks what I like before she gets started. When I get them threaded elsewhere they often come out way too thin. I asked for gel, The color I chose kept going on very lumpy she started over twice finally I said let's just do another color she wasn't happy about that That color looked bumpy as well she kept saying it was my fault! I finally said forget it please take it off I don't have time for this to keep happening. I got check out to pay for my pedicure and has the audacity to charge me for a manicure I said over and over I don't think I should be paying for something I didn't get what I wanted. She looked at 10 different sheets and the posting on the wall and kept saying yes it's $20 for a clean manicure however my nails look awful! Didn't ask me one word of how u want my nails shaped just did his thing. Cut my cuticles so close to my skin I bled 5/10 nails. They did not clean the blood just left it and NEVER used alcohol. I ran home and disinfected my hands so quick! One staff member yelled at a customer because she didn't want an upgrade and questioned the price. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. What was supposed to be a relaxing time was uncomfortable and worst experience. My nails were filed horribly to the point I provided feedback, the tech tried to fix but it was not working. I literally had to file MYSELF! I could not let that one go. My nails were so sharp I could cut myself. Take my advice on this one- pass. read more

Second time here and I absolutely recommend this place ! First of the guy working here is super friendly! He seriously goes above and beyond for EVERY customer. He is such a sweetheart! I've been to several places to get Gel manicure and the gel starts to peel off or the bottom of the gel peels and starts to pull my hair. Well I didn't have that issue here! The gel didn't peel at all and I didn't have any issue with hair pulling gel hahaha ... the place is extremely clean, very sanitary. Prices are good. As of now they have a % off when you spend $15 or more. Definitely recommend this place. This will be my go to nail place from now on. And best of all that everyone working here does a great job, no need to pick a specific person! They are ALL great ! New management is doing AMAZING! read more

Although I did not wait long, my friend did, as well as other customers. Not very busy at all... but at one point, one artist was switching between two clients!! Doing one thing for one, leaving her there, then going to the next. The staff were very sweet though. Although, the quality of the manicure was pretty good. Overall, I would not recommend this salon to anyone who gets gel polish.. Got a basic pedicure with regular polish, and a basic manicure with gel polish... and the total was $92!! A LITERAL SCAM. They tell you one price and charge you another. Was really excited to get my nails done, the guy was really nice at first but ended up just not giving a shit about my nails. I tried to tell him multiple times what I wanted to change but he just didn't care and even overcharged me (told me $35 when I sat down, when I paid he charged me $40 and said 'I said $35 then I said $40.') Nails weren't filed evenly, I ended up asking for the file to file them myself. Paint job was sloppy and I could tell he just didn't care about them at all. No attention to detail. I told him about the paint and he just said he'd 'fix them later' but never did. Please save your money and don't get scammed. Go somewhere else where they actually listen and pay attention. Also not sure if they changed management because I came here a few times with my mom and the other lady was awesome! I've been here maybe 10x but my last experience was TERRIBLE. She broke my big toenail VERY low. She didn't even acknowledge the break- just went on to paint right over it. Please be careful when going. Although the break is was the worst part of my experience- the pain was uneven looking, didn't even paint it all the way down, and my big toe nails are cut very different from each other. And I got the basic $20 pedicure and I didn't get lotion, a massage or hot towels although it was listed. Awful experience, don't know why I even paid. read more
