I went there expecting a good slice, and left with my mind blown like a balloon at a kid's birthday party. Let's talk about their beer list first - it's crazier than a squirrel on espresso. With so many options, I felt like a kid in a candy store, except the candy was beer, and I was a very thirsty adult. Now, let's get to the main event: Samantha, the bartender extraordinaire. If there's an award for the best bartender this side of the Mississippi, just hand it over to her now. She's got more charisma than a stand-up comedian at a pizza convention. Samantha picked my beer with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker and the flair of a Las Vegas magician. I don't know what kind of sorcery she uses, but her beer choices were pure magic. And the food - oh, the food! The pizza was so good it made my taste buds sing "That's Amore." The wings were the perfect balance of crispy and juicy, like they were auditioning for a role in a food commercial. And the half salad? It was so fresh, it probably moonlights as a motivational speaker for other salads. I give them a 2 star merely because of the management of the Sandy location and the day staff.  They openly support the insurrection and Q theories.  Joey, was the manager on duty, whom yelled at a couple their having lunch.  Joey called them names, demeaned them, then kicked them out., for really, no reason. The man had asked 1 question, about an attire of a waitress employed by Slackwater; she was wearing a shirt with propaganda pushed by Qanon, Congress woman MG, and Trump.  The shirt said "1776 Fight for Freedom" it was a tank top  navy blue.  The question was simply "do you know what your waitresses shirt stands for?" The manager approached them aggressively from the get go, and the staff girls were laughing and making fun of the customers question, unprofessionally.  The manager got irritated quickly and as the customer expressed he was insulted by it, and that it didn't seem to match the atmosphere of the place, the manager cut him off and finished them out, refused to allow their waiter cash them out and told them they were kicked out.  The entire girl staff was gathered in circles and felt unprofessional and alot like bullying. Unbelievably horrible behavior by the management and the waitress' there. Food was great, but staff horrible behavior and energy. If need a beer and pizza there are other great places in the valley! read more

We're regulars at Slackwater, attracted by their great beer selection and a decent Red Sangria. I enjoy trying something new from their special menu each time we visit, as their creations have usually been a hit. However, our last visit in September left me with a meh! On the positive side, our kids adore their cheese pizza, and it's a relief to have a tasty dairy cheese option for our younger son, who has a dairy intolerance. It's not easy finding suitable places for him to eat, and Slackwater's pizza options make it a go-to for us. There are a couple of areas that could use improvement, though. Their nachos were a letdown, and the white sangria tasted watered down. However, their regular pizza offerings never disappoint, except for one their "taste like burning pizza". On the topic of salads, I usually stay away since I am not a fan of their offe One appetizer that keeps us coming back is their sun-dried and fried wings - they're an absolute favorite. So, while there have been various experiences, Slackwater remains a familiar spot for our family, and we'll be back for more. read more

Nights like this are why we love Slackwater. The pizza was great, the beers were cold, and we spent way longer there than we planned to--which always seems to happen when we're having a good time. A huge thank you to Ash, Jessa, and Zach for making the night what it was. You can tell when people genuinely enjoy what they do and enjoy being around their guests, and that's exactly how it felt all night. Ash, you're family at this point. Walking in and seeing you is like running into someone we've known forever. You always make us feel welcome, always make us laugh, and somehow make every visit feel a little more special than the last. Jessa and Zach were awesome too. The three of you made us feel less like customers and more like friends hanging out over pizza and beers. That's a rare thing these days, and it's a big reason we keep coming back. A Pizza Experience Worth Savoring! I recently visited Slackwater, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was simply fantastic, with flavors that really stood out, thanks to their use of high-quality ingredients and the fact that much of the menu is made in-house. You can truly taste the difference in every bite! One small hiccup in our visit was that our drinks didn't arrive before our appetizer. However, the manager quickly noticed this oversight and graciously took care of the appetizer for us. It's rare to find customer service at this level. After our meal, the manager came by to personally check in on us and ask how we enjoyed everything. This kind of attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is something I wish every restaurant offered. Overall, Slackwater delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Had an amazing work lunch at Slackwater Pizza! Our server, Said, was fantastic--attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. The Italian Job, calzone style, was absolutely delicious and hit all the right notes. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, creating a perfect setting for our meal. While I enjoyed the Peachy Keen Wings, I do wish they had been a bit larger, and the sauce could have had a bit more punch. The heat was spot on, but the flavor didn't quite live up to the enticing menu description. Overall, though, it was an excellent lunch, and I'll definitely be back. Really good food. Service isn't too bad. Wait is ridiculous. Using Yelp to get onto the waitlist is a joke. If you accidentally make it at the wrong location it doesn't tell you which location you joined the wait list at. The link via text message to check your place in line does not work. Waited for 40 minutes only to go in and find out it was the wrong location and then be told it was another 40 minute wait. Hostess stand was minimally helpful. I like their pizza. It's a drive to get there fo us so don't know that we will make the trip back in the future. Which is too bad. Guess if you don't mind waiting for an hour to be seated then it's worth is. I had a really amazing experience at slackwater! The staff is as following protocol for the health department requirements during COVID-19. Super friendly! And the staff was helpful all around! Slackwater is one of our go to places! The food is always consistently delicious. We've tried nearly every pizza on the menu, including their monthly special pizzas and I have no complaints. The wings at slackwater are the best I've ever had. We have family that requests to come here on our way from the airport-no time to waste! The drink selection is great, they even have a good selection of ciders. We recommend this place to everyone!! read more

We love coming to this place. Not just because of the food (which is amazing) not just because of the beer (they have a plethora of amazing beers from around the country) but because of the staff who makes us feel like old friends as soon as we walk in. The mood of the restaurant was fantastic. Candles lit, very romantic and warm. The service was fantastic. Our waiter was energetic and seemed eager to please. Not to mention, FANTASTIC food. Love this place! Went w/the guys this weekend and don't remember the beer I had but it was real smooth and I love their pizzas. Always quite busy, but we got on the waitlist on our drive there and by the time we arrived we just had to wait about 10 mins so not bad at all. Beyond rude. We came in to simply pick up a to-go order and were treated as if we asked for the sun. Manager treated us as if we were the dumbest people for wanting to eat at this restaurant. Wouldn't recommend eating here if you want to be treated with respect or have any form of customer service. read more
