Big fan of Slainte! I kept on saying how I wish we had one of these in my town! Located in a historical home in the heart of downtown Georgetown, you'll find the cutest family run Irish pub. Inside the house, you find a cozy bar area to the left and to the right, there is a beautiful sitting room with leather chairs and rustic decor. There is a huge patio out back with plenty of shade and another bar in the rear with picnic tables. The beer selection was awesome and there truly was something for everyone. They also offer a small food menu and eat item was delicious. I think I loved the pretzel sticks the most! That beer cheese was chef's kiss! Highly recommend this spot on your next trip to Kentucky.

This place is definitely quirky. It's not a typical restaurant or bar. The drinks are good and the food is even better. Hands down recommend the shepherds pie! We came here on a recommendation of a ladies of Lexington fb group because my fiancé was craving shepherds pie. He's from Jersey so, naturally, the pizza, pasta, and bagels don't meet his requirements. This shepherds pie did! Portion was a little small for the price, however, it's very dense so you fill up quick! We also got the pretzel and that was delicious as well! We will for sure be back later when it warms up just a little bit more!

Food was great pub food. Nice patio area and full service Irish bar in small Georgetown Downtown area. You can bring leashed dogs to the patio. People were playing guitars. Very pleasant. Be sure you don't sit in the smoking area if you are non-smokers.

Husband/wife owners Matt and Ashley fulfilled their dream of owning a business in this magnificent, former home built in the 1800s. Among the many nooks and crannies you will spy something of interest whether it be the lively bar, a quiet, corner retreat, side quarters with guests playing cards or the upstairs dart room. An inviting lounge beckons with deep, leathery chairs and a glowing fireplace. There you will also find four original paintings by the aforementioned, local artist, Margie Rigney. For a special treat, stop by on a warm evening and enjoy their extensive courtyard, reminiscent of old New Orleans. Come as you are to the Sláinte Public House and you will feel right at home.

Been coming here for drinks for a few years, finally stopped by for lunch. Pretty good and fast. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the BLT. Both were good and hot. i even ate the tartar sauce and I don't like tartar sauce.

    Patio and live music

What a great little pub. Passing through town and stopped in for a drink. Enjoyed the live music on the inviting patio.

This an awesome little Pub, great atmosphere, live music (Friday and Saturday), sitting rooms inside and a nice patio where you can enjoy the fresh air and your favorite beverage. I think they have the freshest Guinness in the US. They have also added food to there menu, pulled pork, coleslaw and chips, all Beef hotdogs with/without sauerkraut, Brats with/without Sauerkraut. Slainte also has a 3rd shift Happy Hour which starts at 630am and goes till 10ish am. For all those that work night shift they can now stop in have a beverage before going home after work. It is a must to stop in.

Great drinks and access to food trucks occasionally. Apparently Favas has a hook up for local delivery from open to 9:00 pm. Great stuff!!!

The staff there are always so incredibly welcoming and the vibe is absolutely chill. O'Sheas makes for a great place to take friends or family with lots of various places to sit and have a delicious beer from their selection or bar food. On this trip I decided to try the Tavern Smash Burger (American Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Pickle, Tarter sauce on a potato bun) and for an appetizer I went with their Guinness Beer Cheese that comes with a very nice sized pretzel loaf which I've never had before. The food was extremely tasty and definitely items I would order again. It's counter service here so expect to order your food and pay for it right away at the counter (unless you want to keep a tab open if you plan on drinking) It's a pretty chill place and it too loud or noisy at least not on this evening. It I could imagine that would change if there is a game on at the moment which I'd expect. I absolutely recommend if you're looking for a great place that has very delicious bar food with a very helpful and friendly staff that you should make it a point to stop at O'Shea's.

So for my husband's birthday, we decided to celebrate there with all of our family, and it was such a delightful dinner. We all got something different. I opted for the fish & chips. The fish was huge and perfectly crispy. The chips came out steaming hot and perfectly fried. My sister-in-law got the cottage pie, which really is a showstopper! The bread bowl really makes it. Even my kids were happy (not an easy feat), having ordered the mac-n-cheese and grilled cheese, also stealing chips from our plates. For dessert, we all split the bread pudding -- a hug of a dessert -- and the chocolate Guinness cake. Don't let the "flourless" part of the chocolate cake's description fool you -- this cake is rich and creamy. Our waitress was even able to find a candle, so we could sing to my husband and have him blow it out. The service as always was quick and friendly. The Irish Rover really is a treasure and more should definitely come out for its food.

After being seated, we sat at our table for 24 minutes without being greeted or acknowledged by any server. The restaurant was not busy, which made the lack of service even more surprising. No one came by to offer menus, water, take a drink order, or even check in with us. When we finally asked the bartender if there was a server assigned to our table, the response we received was simply, "You just have to wait." The tone felt dismissive and unwelcoming. The hostess was also rude, which added to the overall negative experience. To make matters worse, the neighborhood already felt heavy due to the tragic incident during the St. Patrick's Day parade the night before. That somber atmosphere combined with the lack of hospitality made the experience feel even more uncomfortable and unwelcoming. For a first visit, this was very disappointing. Hospitality starts with basic acknowledgment and respect for guests, and unfortunately that was missing here.
