Looking for a late night eat as everything in Chinatown was closing or closed! Stumbled upon this place closer to the freeway entrance and boi were we surprised. It was pretty busy for a Sunday late night & it definitely wasn't a loud environment. Walking into the place it was bright, employees were friendly, and the menu was bold with so many options! We ordered 1 fish taco with the works, 3 grilled chicken tacos with everything but guacamole, & a California burrito and nothing disappointed. Everything was fresh, seasoned perfectly, and the flavors were memorable! Service was also quick! They had a huge selection of glass bottled beers and drinks including Mexican Coke. The salsa stand was to die for so many choices and not one of them disappointed in the flavor department. Overall great experience and great place will recommend to others and we'll be back!
If you are craving cheap Mexican food, this is the place. Had an Al Pastor burrito with rice and beans on the side. It was good. I'd still give the nod to Sergs but since the had an actual salsa bar, it's a winnah! I heard it's best to go on off hours cause it gets packed. We had no problem as we went just before 11am. The Pico de gallo was good,as were the rest of the salsas. Surprisingly the habanero wasn't very burner.
We have been going to Taco Stand a lot recently. The original location was founded in San Diego in 2013 by two guys from Tijuana. There are locations in Southern California, Florida, and Texas, We like how easy it is to get good food fast here. Parking at this location is ample. There's usually not a line when we go and the staff is always friendly. You order at the counter and then seat yourself. Sometimes it takes a little while to get your food, but that's fine because it's made fresh. My favorite items are the carne asada tacos, as well as the camaron (shrimp) tacos and elote. They also offer burritos, quesadillas, carne asada fries, and churros. There is a self-serve salsa bar that offers varying spice levels, from mild to extra spicy. The restaurant isn't fancy and I like that, too. This is just a great place to get some tasty tacos.

Most tacos run under $5, which feels like theft compared to what you'd pay anywhere near the Strip. Solid vegetarian options too -- the mushroom and cactus tacos surprised me. Service is fast, the vibe is casual, and the AC is a godsend in summer. Lunch rush gets busy for good reason. Five stars, will be back often.
Cannot say enough good things about this taco stand! The alpastor is the absolute best and has flavor!! Churros are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Tortillas are soft and wonderful. The staff is super friendly as well. They have great filtered water too which matters to the water lovers out there (which I am). Must go here!
Coming from Southern California, where there are plenty of great taco shops, I can say Taco Stand is solid. The carne asada is well-seasoned and authentic, the al pastor is great, and the carne asada fries are delicious. The spicy shrimp taco was excellent too. The manager was super friendly and made sure we were enjoying our food. I love it here. The carne asada they use as a better quality mean than some of their competitors. I always come here when I'm in the mood for straight tacos and I recommend visiting if you haven't already!

The churros... it's like walking through the gates of heaven, cooked by Jesus himself. They are slap your momma good! I eat them before my tacos, all of them, don't ask me for any! Our first encounter with The Taco Stand was in San Diego. It was a much smaller location compared to The Taco Stand in Las Vegas that is located at the bottom of Green Leaf Lotus condo complex. My eldest daughter and I stopped by for a quick lunch before exploring the city that never sleeps. Surrounded by friendly and good vibes all around. Big inside space with colorful seating. Tables had drink holders on the side which is a super idea so more space for more food on the table. Wall decor had beautiful art and vibrant colors. Soda fountain and condiments stations were available. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Ambiance was just wonderful. Authentic Mexican restaurant right at the heart of Las Vegas. We dined-in and ordered 2 mushroom tacos, 1 shrimp taco, 1 chicken asado taco, 1 Al pastor taco, and 2 churros. Everything from taco meats and seafood, veggies, tortillas, and churros were so fresh, flavorful, and yummy. Churros were thick and condense milk made it quite a supreme dessert. They were made to order. Quality was on point! Our lunch experience was amazing. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to come back before leaving Las Vegas. However, we didn't make it back. If you're looking for tacos in the Spring Mountain area, this is probably your only option. The tacos are more gourmet by providing a clean taste with a slightly higher price point. We ordered 2 al pastor tacos and the carne asada fries. The tacos are great as they have a really clean taste and comes has it's own sauce on it. The carne asada fries on the other hand were good, but not great. In my opinion it was less salty and was missing some type of essence that I was looking for. I wasn't drunk, but I feel like this flavor wouldn't be what you're looking for after a night of drinking in Vegas. The location is pretty spacious, but there are times when it gets busy and you may have to get lucky to have a spot to eat at. This place can do a little better as far as cleanliness. It has potential but there was trash all on the ground and the trash was full. The little bit of effort would have made the experience a little better. The service is decent, but if there is a line, you may find yourself waiting outside in the cold/hot depending on the season. This place does its job by providing your taco fix with a clean taste but not a crave-able taste in my opinion. If you're looking for great tacos, theres better options that are even open late.

These Tijuana style street tacos are pretty good. I like the variety they had. My teenage kids loved the carne asada and al pastor. They were flavorful and meat was tender. I also loved the pineapple with the al pastor. I enjoyed the shrimp taco and the crispy fish. Next time I want to taste the mushroom choice. I'm glad Vegas has this chain from L.A. as there are not that many good taco places in Vegas.

Came here late night, looking for a some solid tacos. This place had good reviews, walk in, I thought I was at Tacos El Gordo. "Stop son, we have Tacos El Gordo at home" ahhh spot. Anyway got some pastor tacos and asada tacos, took a nice bite, mid. They don't have the quality pastor you get at the good spots, flavor wasn't all there. The asada isn't even asada bro, it's like chunks of steak, not the real deal. The asada tacos weren't bad, they just don't use real quality asada. Overall a mid spot, wouldn't come back. Can't believe I have done a review for this spot yet! I've been a handful of times. Every time we visit Vegas it's our first stop. Food is always fresh and delicious. We had an amazing experience at The Taco Stand on Spring Mountain Road. We tried the Baja taco with fried fish, the camaron taco with grilled shrimp, and the Sonoran taco with flame-grilled steak, and melted cheese. Every taco was delicious! To top it off, the vibe was super chill with great festive music, great customer, service, ice cold beer, and some really good salsas to choose from. Perfect spot for authentic tacos! read more
Okay so if you want legit street tacos that actually taste like street tacos, The Taco Stand on Spring Mountain (or the Summerlin location) is always a win. I've been here a bunch of times and it's one of those places that's just consistently good, which matters. The place is super casual. You order at the counter, sit down, and wait for your food. It definitely gets busy, especially at night, but the line moves faster than it looks. The staff is cool and doesn't make you feel rushed even when it's packed. The menu isn't huge but honestly that's a good thing because everything tastes fresh. The tortillas are made right and the meats are grilled really well. The salsa bar is dangerous because I always grab too much. They've got mild ones and spicy ones so you can mix it up depending how brave you're feeling that day. The al pastor tacos are a must. They shave the meat right off the spit and throw pineapple on it and it just hits every time. The carne asada is also really good, super juicy and flavorful, especially on the fries. The shrimp tacos are another favorite, the shrimp are grilled perfectly and the sauce has a little kick but nothing crazy. If you're hungry hungry or sharing, the carne asada fries are the move. They're loaded and filling. And don't skip the churros. They come out warm with condensed milk and they're honestly the perfect way to end the meal. Staff was friendly and helpful the food was really good we had the carne asada fries and a donor's taco and also a Baja taco my least favorite was the Baja taco the fish needed more seasoning in my opinion but it was a big piece and tasted quality. The Sonora taco was so delicious I am already looking goats to going back and having it again. The vibe was chill and super cool definitely recommend this place. read more
This place was incredible! I loved my experience from start to finish. First of all, shout out to the staff for being incredibly kind and considerate despite this place being super busy - they listened very intently to my very picky order and got it out fast and with big smiles on their faces too. I can't say enough nice things! Also, the pricing was very reasonable for the area. Was pretty happy with my Vegas dinner. Food was delicious as well! Really loved the shrimp taco and the carne asada. Everything was so well marinated and roasted to perfection. Gobbled everything up and loved trying it with all the salsa they had. Chef's kiss! Inside is bright and cute and laid back and we found a table after waiting only a tiny bit. There's a happy friendly vibe going on here and I would gladly come eat here again and again! read more
I travel all over the country and this is by far the best taco spot I ever been to. The place isn't big and the line was out the door but definitely worth the wait. Food was so fresh and and flavorful only thing was a bummer was they ran out of horchata. Also the tables are very small and limited space so I don't recommend a big group for dine in. Excellent quality. Of course doesn't beat Mexico city quality, but this is a good as it gets here in USA. Tortillas were fresh but still a little gummy (not like the ones that's just corn and water that crumble break down nicely in the mouth like in Mexico) but very close Favorite tacos from best to great: Camarones - bouncy shrimp but the roasted chili sauce on this was what made the taco! I wish I could spread that on everything! Al Pastor - well marinated and flavorful, super juicy, careful about the lard dripping on your clothes Baja - the fried fish remained light and crispy even i had this taco last. Wanted The Taco Stand so I decided to stop at the location on Spring Mountain Rd. West. There was a small but fast moving line. When it got to my turn I knew exactly what I wanted to try. I ordered the Camaron Burrito (Grilled shrimp, melted cheese, avocado, tomato, and chipotle sauce). This burrito was very hearty- filling, I even had a half of it left for my lunch today at work. It was worth every cent I spent, including my tip I put in their bucket. It's always pretty busy whenever I go here. They asked was gonna eat in or 2Go. I chose to eat in my car just because they tables weren't clean and the staff were all doing tasks: like wiping down the dirty trays, cleaning the kitchen etc. I definitely didn't want to add to the work load. Even though I'm sure they would have had No problem cleaning down the tables for me. Over Service, and the quality of food was decent. I can't add any more pictures from my visits. The food is always stellar!!!! this is one of my go to places for tacos and quick convenience Mexican food. Everything, literally everything is delicious here. The service is quick and even if there's a ton of people the restaurant is always incredibly clean. Ambience is adorable with amazing music and it looks a bit industrial but also charming. Art on the wall is beautiful. They have Wi-Fi. read more

This place always hits the spot. We ordered the California burrito and 1 fish taco. Omg, that fish taco was so crispy and crunchy. I topped it off with some cilantro dressing and that made it 10x better. The line was out the door when we arrived but it went fast. Parking was kinda hard since the lot was small but there is street parking. There's tables and chairs along with counter seating. I highly recommend this place. read more

Hands down one of the best taco spots in Vegas. There is a good amount of parking here too! There's table seating and right when you walk in you can see the menu and the kitchen. Even with a long line they move pretty quickly! I love the feel of this spot and it's just a nice relax chill vibe with good eats! What more can you ask for. The quality of the meat is incredible. Their pollo asado was by far the best I've had in the city so far. The tenderness of the chicken and flavor was amazing, and the guac was the perfect consistency. They also offer vegan and vegetarian options as well! On top of that, their tortillas are made from scratch!! They also have a salsa bar with various choices (I loved the salsa verde and salsa cilantro!) they have spicier options as well if you aren't in the mood for tacos they have quesadillas, burritos, and carne asada fries Of course I had to get the churros and wowww they were perfect I haven't had churros that good since I've been back in l.a , the crunch and the cinnamon were just perfect. Loved the food! Everything was amazing and reasonably priced. IMO, this place is better than Tacos El Gordo! Yes, I said it lol. The Carne Asada Burrito was big and had good quality asada. The best churro for sure! It was super warm and had great crunchy sugary dough and texture. Service was good, counter served was nice. Ambiance was good. Smaller area but still had enough seats. The salsa bar was fire! Tons of options, and they had onions and jalapeños. Favorite salsa was the avocado mild sauce, and the cilantro and chipotle was tasty if you like mayo based salsas! A couple weeks ago my friend asked if I'd ever tried "The Taco Stand," and I immediately asked her which taco stand because... I've eaten my share of tacos. She cackled up and said, "No, that's the actual name!" Fast-forward a few days and my boyfriend comes home and shares that he went to The Taco Stand, now I'm having FOMO. So, what does one do when having FOMO? We make the 28-minute drive down to Chinatown on Thursday afternoon, and honestly, totally worth it. The vibe when you walk in is super welcoming -- friendly staff, plenty of tables, and we were able to sit right away. I can easily see this place getting packed on weekends or at night though, so weekday afternoons are definitely the move. We both ordered the Pollo Asado, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada tacos + a Carne Asada Fries, and we left so full. We actually had to pack up one of each of our taco's to each later! The tacos are street-taco sized but loaded with protein, which I love. All three had great flavor, but the Carne Asada stole the show for me -- so tender and flavorful. The Carne Asada Fries were hands down the best I've had. The fries itself had so much flavor and were fried perfectly, even with all the toppings on it they held together nicely. My family & I wanted to try another taco place other than the overhyped one on the strip. My husband found this place and we decided to try.... 10/10!!!! Food was sooo good! i feel we are harsh critics of tacos but this place was so good! We had tacos de asada, pastor, camarón y baja! I also got an elote & chips with guac! The elote was cooked PERFECTLY! the only thing i wish is that they had chilito for the elote instead of tajín. The carne asada tacos were good but the meat was cut a little too thick for our liking. The tortillas was delicious, the salsas were delicious & the guac was so good too! Would 1000% come back and can't wait to! read more

Amazing tacos, the best I've ever had, especially the Baja and shrimp tacos. Was sooo good that we went here twice in our two night stay haha! I like that this location was away from the strip too so parking wasn't a hassle. Go! Now! You won't regret it. read more

I'd heard great things about The Taco Stand Spring Mountain location, so I was curious to see how the Summerlin location stacked up. I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30-3:00, and it was very busy--most tables were full, and it took quite a while just to get my order in. Ordering is counter-style and then you pick up your food, but with the crowd, it felt like they could definitely use more staff to speed things along. That said, once I got my food, it was tasty. The concept feels fresh for Vegas--more of a true taqueria compared to the fast-food-style Mexican spots like Roberto's or Don Tortaco. The inside has a fun, lively atmosphere, and overall, I'd come back. They just need to fine-tune efficiency a bit, but it's a great casual taco option in Summerlin. read more

Everything was delicious but I will say my favorite were the Baja tacos and pescado tacos! This place was busy but it seemed like people usually ordered their food to go and did not seat down. Forever on the hunt for another good taco. So we found the taco stand. We got a asada burrito, three pastor tacos, one shrimp taco and an asada fries. The main highlight I would say is that the taco stand makes their own tortillas. We also bought a bag of chips to go and it was crispy thick and delicious. Another thing the taco stand is famous for is their salsa bar, where there are six options, from mild to very spicy. I didn't find their salsa to be that delicious. It was just lacking in flavor. The first time we ate at The Taco Stand was at the San Diego location. So when we heard they were opening up a Vegas location we got excited! This spot hit- cravings satisfied!!! First time dining in (usually do take out) Luckily we stopped by before the dinner rush. Although it's busy, lines moves, food comes out quick and tables are cleared for the next crowd of people. Decent amount of seating. We ordered Al pastor tacos, carne asada taco, pollo asado taco, chips and guac and a Mar y Tierra burrito (Grilled shrimp with angus steak, melted cheese, cabbage, avocado, tomato & chipotle sauce). Everything was so gooooood! The Al Pastor was exactly what I wanted, even my son liked it. Def on our top list of tacos places in Vegas. read more
Found this place on Yelp after an excursion to F1 racing with my son, as it was not too far of a drive away. This was a relatively inexpensive bang for your buck for a quick but filling meal near all the attractions. I am so glad I got the carne asada burrito because it hit the spot just right and it doesn't leave my fingers a mess like tacos do. It filled up my hungry teenager as well for about $12pp. The meat and all the fillings (salsa, beans, guacamole, tomato) blended together flavorfully and the tortilla was nice and chewy. I've been told to try the California burrito which is the same but with French fries inside, but I didn't feel the need for the extra calories this time! I'm sure it's delicious. I appreciate the cold Mexican drinks in glass bottles, I find the tamarindo to be a nice pairing with the beef. I'm going to have to try the Al pastor tacos, since I heard you can actually taste the pineapple (will review later), and the churros next time. The decor: bright and industrial with Mexican flair. Seems to be plenty of seating as long as it's not too too busy. The metal Corona tables have a unique drink holder feature that I wish I had on my gaming tables.
