Came here on a Saturday night; the place wasn't packed but there were a few people sitting there. They have plenty of seating, booths and tables alike. We ordered a single burger with fries and a double burger with fries. I really like smash burgers but this one was, unfortunately, my least favorite I've tried so far. The bun was good, but the burger itself wasn't as crispy as other smash burgers I've had; I also want to point out that the flavor of the burger wasn't my favorite as it reminded of lamb, and I'm not a fan of lamb, but others may find that appealing so just an fyi! The fries were okay, pretty standard but not crispy which was a downside for me. The sauce they have was good, tasted like a combination of mayo and ketchup. The prices were more affordable than other smash burgers places I've been to.

Really good smashed burgers. But besides that, what I liked about this spot particularly is that they have a lot of other good stuff. Like the loaded Mac and chicken. Which is what I got. It was good. Cheesey and it's a really good portion for the price! They also have milkshakes, tenders and some other good stuff, I visited on a Friday evening, there was a bit of a wait but it was ok, the cashier warned me ahead of time so I knew what to expect... which was nice in my opinion. There is plenty of seats at this location so you can sit and enjoy your food. Overall it's a great late night spot or just a good spot for good food in general. Things to know -They are halal -There is Parking -Good ambience and service -Good for kids -Decent pricing -They are open until 1am!

My friends and I tried a bunch of the menu items for our first time there here's what I thought: Slap n Melt burger: basically the same as the regular burger they have for double the price don't wast $11 on this. Buns were cold and not toasted. Fries: really good Slap sauce: really good Chicken tenders were better than the burger for sure so maybe consider sticking with the chicken options if you come

I had a few more items that were good. The chicken over fries were better than the chicken over mac n cheese. Will probably stick with the burgers and maybe try some shakes. Overall a good option for the area. Especially if your in hurry and dont want the typical fast food.

Single Burger Fries Oreo Banana Pudding (8oz) Classic Banana Pudding (8oz) $27

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. I ordered a single cheeseburger, fries, an Oreo banana pudding and a regular banana pudding. Everything came up to $27. The food was OK. The banana puddings were not sweet at all, which made them taste a bit weird. Otherwise the burger and fries were just ok.

Updated Review.... Had the chance to stop here for lunch and it was amazing. Chicken tender is super tender and flavorful. Service is great and fast. The chicken sandwich size was a bit disappointing when compared to other spots that offer the same. Decor is nothing special but I came here for the food. Only one comment is to make the spicy chicken to taste spicy - it is just flavor spice. Great place for lunch or a quick bite. Their branded sodas are amazing as well. Keep up the great work guys!

TLDR: extremely disappointing spot. Would not recommend. Food looked great but lacked flavor. Came here at dinner time on a Friday night so it was extremely busy and the store had very hectic vibes. Took 25 minutes for me to receive 2 sliders, French fries and chicken tenders that were all room temperature.... While I was waiting for my food, a bunch of customers waiting in line left. After receiving my food, I was disappointed and left extremely unsatisfied.

Slap burger is a quality smash burger with some bomb lemonade options and platters. First walk in, it's clean and the menu is small, but delicious, I recommend always going for a double to get full, all the patties are 3.5 oz. Service when ordering was quick, easy, and all questions answered.. our food was brought out with a smile. The cheese fries were a good fry and nice cheese sauce and the lemonade is on the sweeter side, but don't pass on it!

In a city known for hot dogs, You'll slap yourself silly at Slap Burger, Clifton! Nothing in recent years has worked in the location BUT Slap may just break that chain of bad luck. It's clean, there's parking, friendly staff and deliciously made smashed burgers. Craving Grape soda, no problem! Do you prefer fresh brewed berry-infused lemonade, they have you covered. But if you're looking for a milkshake, you'll need to stop next door. Prices are reasonable and the French fries are worth the calories. Stop by for lunch or dinner and support local eateries!

Absolutely SOOOO DELICIOUS! It came to the house very quickly via uber eats and I couldn't be more happy. I will certainly be having it again, I hope to go in next time! The smash burgers were amazing and that slap sauce is divine! The fries were the perfect texture, and the chicken tenders were super tender and flavorful, I got the original tenders and even those had a great kick!

My friends and I were in the mood for a burger and decided to try slap burger. The staff were super friendly and took our orders quickly and the food came out pretty quickly as well. I got the double slap burger and it was really good and definitely competes with five guys and shake shack. The patty was super flavorful and juicy, the bread was nice and warm and the slap sauce they put on the burger made the whole thing POP. Definitely would recommend this place and I'll be back to try their chicken sandwich or chicken tenders.

The pricing was decent, it was a good burger , not what we expected , but that's our fault for having high expectations. The wait was pretty long and they weren't busy. The loaded fries were decent , 6.5/10 & the burger was 7/10. I did like that bacon was finally an option for me at a burger spot, since i don't eat pork.

    Great tasting burger

Great burger. I suggest a double burger much better value than the single burger. Not crazy about the fries, but the burger is a winner. Tasty and fresh. Also, a pretty good value. High-quality burger with quality toppings. Inside the store was clean and pleasant. Plenty of parking too.

We are especially crazy about the bread! The falafel was very good -- and I'm definitely a falafel snob. We were a party of 8 so we also ordered the Mixed Grill for 6. We also ordered several appetizers. It ended up being way too much food. The service was very friendly and pretty quick. The restaurant itself was clean and modern. My one gripe was the music was a little too loud. But to give them the benefit of the doubt we were seated right next to a speaker so it's probably better at the other tables away from the speakers. The lamb makluba was delicious. The lamb was tender and flavorful without having a gamey taste to it. The rice was moist and soaked up the flavor of the lamb and other vegetables cooked in the same pot. I also enjoyed the nut garnish added on top as it provided a welcome crunch to the dish. My opinion of the mixed grill is just that--mixed. The meats were good but some pieces ended up dry even though we requested it be cooked medium rare. I really enjoyed the rice that came with the platter though my dining partners were not as enthusiastic. It certainly didn't have as much flavor as the makluba rice, but it was still very nice. Given that we also had the makluba, the mixed grill for 6 was too much food so we had plenty of leftovers. The appetizers we got were very enjoyable. We got tabouleh, pita with assorted dips (hummus, baba ganoush, etc.), and a cheese pizza type thing that I can't recall the name of. I liked all of them very much. None of it was mind blowing, but all just very solid food. I also got the mint lemonade which I enjoyed a lot too. It was a bit sweet for my taste but that just meant I could dilute it with some water and enjoy it for longer. All-in-all The Olive Bistro was a great experience and I would certainly come back. I'd probably order less food this time.

I know there's a million Halal spots popping up, and I will admit I'm very, very picky when it comes to platters. I miss the good ol' days on 53rd street in NYC... I came by around 10pm and was served quickly by a friendly employee. They have platters, burgers, wraps, wings, chicken tenders, fries, etc. I ordered the chicken rice platter (~$13.50). They cook the meat fresh on the grill and then you choose your toppings at the salad bar (olives, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc.). It's a bit pricier than other places, but the portion size is huge. The container felt HEAVY lol. It's just a shame it went to waste because I really didn't enjoy the food. I only finished about half of it before I tossed the rest. The white sauce was almost flavorless and was VERY watery. The chicken wasn't as well-seasoned. No distinct spices or aroma. Every bite left me with a very greasy and salty taste in my mouth. The side salad was just okay. I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the rice... it was fluffy and the best part of the whole platter. Not sure if I came on an off night or...? Don't let my review stop you from trying. It might just not be the Halal spot for me.

The meat is delicious but mildly seasoned. I live a bit far and I loved the food so much that I got brisket and smoked chicken to go as well. We arrived on a Saturday the place was absolutely packed but we were seated within about 5 minutes. We were seated right near the smokers and it was so cool to watch them prepare each dish. The presentation here is phenomenal as is the quality of all the meat here. A fresh salad with oil was brought complimentary to the table and it was delicious. We ordered the Buffalo smoked chicken wings and Baba-Ghanoj for appetizers. The chicken wings were so tender that as you picked them up the meat literally fell off the bone! The sauce was subtle but had a nice Buffalo kick at the end. The baba-ghanoj was served cold and was perfect with a little sprinkle of salt. The fresh pitas paired perfectly with it. I'm glad I did my research on this spot as everyone recommended the fresh mint lemonade. Wow amazing and refreshing I love that it came out as a slushy like consistency. I could easily drink them all day and they're probably amazing to eat outside in the warmer months and enjoy. We each ordered the meat platters in 1lb portions which are served with fresh smoked rice that is so good and filling. I wanted the beef shank but sadly they were out and ordered the smoked beef short rib. They served everything on a platter for us which the presentation I must say is outstanding . My boyfriend ordered the smoked brisket and it was so tender and flavorful he kept saying "it's terrible you won't like it because he didn't want to share it at all LOL". We had no room for dessert but I cannot wait to return for our next dinner date night! I would definitely give it 4/5 stars. Nothing was terrible the only complaints I had is once we were seated and our order was taken our server asked if we want appetizers first which we said yes and everything came out at once. Which is fine not terrible just our table was packed and hard to eat. Additionally once our food came out it was hard to get anyone's attention for more drinks but it was no too much of an issue that it ruined the night as they were definitely way too busy and seemed to be short staffed. I definitely want to return and check out the rest of their menu. I highly recommend making the trip to Kanoon!

We ordered a whole range of things including chicken kebab, chicken gyro, tahini cauliflower,…read morelabneh, and hummus. Everything was delicious, but I'll leave the food writing to the Yelpers with more sophisticated palates than I. (Actually, I take that back--the fresh-baked pita was amazing and I would eat it with/for every meal if I could.) The real reason I wanted to leave a review the service, which went above and beyond. Let me start by saying that Al Basha takeout has a wonderfully efficient order-number-based system for managing the hundreds of orders they get on a daily basis. But if, say, the person who placed the order sent you to pick up the food with the wrong order number, you're going to struggle, and that's not the restaurant's fault. With that prelude and without getting into the details, we'll just say there was a user error issue with my order that led to a mix-up and a very late pick-up. Everyone from the Al Basha staff with whom I interacted could not have handled it any better. They were very apologetic, not because they did anything wrong (to be clear, they didn't), but because they were disappointed our meal hadn't gone well and wanted to fix that. The top priority of the manager with whom I dealt was making sure that my wife--it was Mothers' Day--got the best meal possible, and made sure to send me home with fresh bread and a treat for the moms. It was true hospitality, and greatly appreciated. TLDR version: great food, excellent service, out-of-this-world pita, and make darned sure you have the right order number.

The chicken kebab was dry and the shawarma was a bit too sour for my liking (not sure if they squeezed lemon on it or something). The kofta was okay but nothing spectacular. The filet mignon, was a major let down. My server didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, which is medium rare for my family. It came back well done. He said everyone usually prefers it to be well done, but I think that's a mistake that shouldn't be made and preference should always be asked, especially with steak. We asked for it to be swapped, and it still came back well done. When we let them know again, they brought it back a little on the rare side, which is fine for my family, but had it been another family, not so sure. I'm sure they have hundreds of orders for the char grilled meets, so I'm a little confused on why the technique has not already been established My favorite dish had to be the makanik - which is pan seared lamb sausages finished with sweet and tangy pomegranate molasses. I usually don't like lamb because of the gamey flavor but these sausages didn't have that. I didn't taste much of the pomegranate molasses. The arugula & beet salad would've been good if the pomegranate molasses vinaigrette was less sweet. The stuffed grape leaves were also a bit too sour. The lemon was just taking over the entire flavor profile. I didn't really taste the tomato or parsley. The falafel platter was good but nothing different than other falafels that I've had. The mint lemonade was so refreshing. Almost everyone in the restaurant had one and I understand why. The mint is not overpowering I had high expectations because I've seen this place on instagram but I'm afraid they were not met. Service was good, but the food definitely needs some work. There's valet parking, which i recommend because it's hard to find street parking

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.
