    Chicken over Rice Platter 8/10

Plenty of parking at the outdoor mall strip. Clean vibe - courteous staff. They take card or cash. They also have lunch specials available where you can get a platter with a can of soda. We got the chicken rice platter 8/10 and the combo rice platter 9/10. Their lamb is really good and I recommend it. Their white sauce is not the best I have had but decent. Their vegetables were fresh. Overall I would go back and recommend.

This is now one of our fave halal spots! The owner has a special passion for what he does, and it shines through from the second you walk in. The food is great, and they have a hero you need to try called the Halal City Hero! BTW, they have some great lunch specials in store AND on UberEats. There are spots to sit if you would like to dine in, they do have takeout as well (like I mentioned earlier, they do delivery as well). The meat on the platters were all cooked perfectly, same for the rice. The salad is fresh, and the pita was soft...what more can I say!

The chicken over rice is so good and flavorful. Honestly can't get enough of that green sauce on top too it adds a little hint of spice that I can't explain. Everyone inside is super nice and friendly always making you feel welcomed. Nice to come inside take a break eat and watch some tv with some good food. My buddy told me the fried fish is really good along with the wings too. The quality is outshined by the price because for $10 you just can't beat it.

Amazing food, friendly staff. We got the combo (chicken & lamb) platter, chicken platter, and another combo (chicken and falafel) platter. Meats are really good, rice is very flavorful. Love the white and green sauces!!! Will come here often!!! Highly recommend Halal City!!

I was on break and had the craving for some halal food. There's a usual spot I go to that I enjoy but I decided to venture and try this spot since it's pretty new. I had the combo over salad which was slightly underwhelming, while this was right under $10 it felt like I wasn't paying for much either way. The lettuce was nice and crisp and the meat was okay, it didn't really stand out to be honest. Their sauce was quite nice however and the workers were pleasant.

My pops and I checked out Halal City in Syosset. If you like Halal food then you have to check this place out. It's conveniently located and accessible. The chicken is flavorful. The white hits your palate really good along with the lamb, chicken, and bbq sauce and the spicy sauce. The bowls are filled up and made fresh. I also tried the falafel since I'm a huge fan. They added this green sauce that was really good and unique. Make sure to come check them out and show them some love!

Dentists are supposed to protect our teeth, prevent problems, and keep our smiles healthy. However, one experience I had completely changed the way I think about dental care. What should have been a routine visit turned into a situation that left me in pain, confused, and questioning whether I could trust professionals meant to help me. It started as a normal appointment. I went in expecting a cleaning and maybe a quick check for cavities. The office looked clean and professional, and everything seemed fine at first. The dentist was confident and moved quickly, barely explaining what he was doing. At the time, I didn't think much of it--I assumed he knew best. When he said I needed work done, I agreed without asking many questions. During the procedure, things didn't feel right. There was more discomfort than I expected, and I remember feeling uneasy about how rushed everything seemed. Instead of taking time to make sure I was okay, the dentist continued without much communication. I tried to ignore the feeling and trust that it would be over soon. After the appointment, the real problems began. My teeth were extremely sensitive, and eating became difficult. What had once been normal--drinking cold water or biting into food--now caused sharp pain. I went back to the dentist, hoping for an explanation or a solution, but I didn't get clear answers. It felt like my concerns weren't being taken seriously. Over time, the condition of my teeth seemed worse than before I even went in. I began to feel frustrated and regretful. I wondered if I should have asked more questions or gotten a second opinion. That experience taught me something important: just because someone is a professional doesn't mean you shouldn't speak up for yourself. This situation also showed me how important communication is in healthcare. Patients should understand what is happening to them, why it's being done, and what to expect afterward. Without that, it's easy to feel powerless. I learned that it's okay to ask questions, take time to think about procedures, and even seek another opinion if something doesn't feel right. In the end, the experience wasn't just about damaged teeth--it was about trust. Losing trust in someone responsible for your health is difficult, especially when you rely on them. But it also helped me grow more aware and confident in speaking up for myself. Now, I know that my voice matters, especially when it comes to my own well-being.

My friend and her boyfriend have visited multiple locations and recommended visiting Dirty Taco and Tequila - Woodbury for our double date so we came on a Tuesday night at 6:30pm. Dirty Taco and Tequila is located in Woodbury Common Shopping Center. There are plenty of other businesses and parking spaces. Many tables at Dirty Taco and Tequila were occupied and it was pretty busy when we came in, but we were seated after waiting just a little while. Dirty Taco and Tequila only takes reservations for large groups. Dan Z was our server and he was amazing. He was very attentive, happy, and friendly. He asked if it was our first time at Dirty Taco and Tequila and gave us a brief introduction to the menu and his recommendations. I had the Asian Pear cocktail and it was very yummy. The Asian Pear cocktail has Grey Goose vodka, pear nectar, st. germaine, lime juice, and agave. My friends had pineapple margarita, coconut margarita, and strawberry kiwi margarita. For margaritas, you can add salt or sugar on the rim. We ordered Guac & Chips for the table. The guacamole, tomatoes, cilantro, lime, and red onion were very good and great to share. I ordered the Bulgogi Taco and the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. My favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco. It had pan fried shrimp, cabbage slaw, tossed in bang bang sauce, sriracha drizzle served on flour tortilla. This taco was packed with flavor and really good. The bulgogi taco didn't have bulgogi, they were steak strips. My husband had the Pork Belly Taco and Korean Short Rib Taco. He really enjoyed it. Our group of 4 stayed for about 2 hours at Dirty Taco and Tequila. They didn't rush us out at all. It's really chill and relaxing atmosphere. I also really like the decor. There is a cash discount if you pay with cash compared to credit card. Definitely looking forward to coming back to Dirty Taco and Tequila!

We ordered a big haul including the Southwest steak burrito, Cheese-Crusted Quesadilla with grilled adobo chicken, and Street Style Chicken Tacos. All 3 were very tasty The southwest steak burrito was very well balanced and filling and the grilled steak was flavorful and tender, paired nicely with the cilantro lime rice, black beans, chile crema (medium heat hit the spot), chile corn salsa, and those crispy tortilla strips for extra crunch. The quesadilla had great taste and texture. the adobo chicken had nice seasoning, pico de gallo and cilantro kept it fresh, and the cheese crust was crispy and gooey in all the right ways. Street style chicken tacos were delightful. soft corn tortillas held up great, grilled chicken was juicy, and the salsa verde, fresh guac, pickled red onions, and cotija gave it that authentic street taco vibe without being overwhelming. I love Guac so I ordered an extra scoop on the side. Highly recommend it. These things all taste great with it. Dip it right in and enjoy your meal. Everything came out hot and portions were generous. We had plenty to share and still had leftovers. I will definitely come here again. Much better than chipotle!
