So we came in on a dead night Friday January 2nd - no one - not even zombies.! My son had finished eating a delicious authentic pizza at the pizzeria next door. I ordered lamb platter with white rice, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and that divine white sauce spread all over the top. The lamb was cut into small cubes and they were tasty! It came with two small plastic containers of red hot sauce and two containers of an earthy green sauce. I didn't try the green sauce; the hut sauce was zesty & complemented the meal well. Ambiance was nothing to write back home to mom about. It was a clean space, it was kind of sterile. Good thing I don't eat ambiance. So with that, the food was very good & it hit the proverbial spot! The chicken/lamb combo over rice was a standout! Perfectly seasoned with a generous drizzle of their creamy white sauce. I decided to add french fries because I was really hungry but in retrospect, that might have been a little overboard. The gyro was also bomb. Smother it in white sauce and hot sauce for a perfect blend of flavors. My only gripe is that some of the chicken had ligaments in it. Plenty of parking at the outdoor mall strip. Clean vibe - courteous staff. They take card or cash. They also have lunch specials available where you can get a platter with a can of soda. We got the chicken rice platter 8/10 and the combo rice platter 9/10. Their lamb is really good and I recommend it. Their white sauce is not the best I have had but decent. This is now one of our fave halal spots! The owner has a special passion for what he does, and it shines through from the second you walk in. The food is great, and they have a hero you need to try called the Halal City Hero! BTW, they have some great lunch specials in store AND on UberEats. There are spots to sit if you would like to dine in, they do have takeout as well (like I mentioned earlier, they do delivery as well). The chicken over rice is so good and flavorful. Honestly can't get enough of that green sauce on top too it adds a little hint of spice that I can't explain. Everyone inside is super nice and friendly always making you feel welcomed. Nice to come inside take a break eat and watch some tv with some good food. My pops and I checked out Halal City in Syosset. If you like Halal food then you have to check this place out. It's conveniently located and accessible. The chicken is flavorful. The white hits your palate really good along with the lamb, chicken, and bbq sauce and the spicy sauce. The bowls are filled up and made fresh. I also tried the falafel since I'm a huge fan. Who serves gyros with stale, lukewarm 1/2 inch cubes of meat instead of slices of fresh meat off a rotating hunk of lamb? This place does. Impossible to eat as the chunks fall out of the pita bread(hint-if you're going to serve loose small chunks of meat it needs to go in a pita pocket so it doesn't disintegrate after you take a bite from it) $9.00 for this atrocity, sorry guys, you gotta do better than that. The meat also tasted like it had fillers in it, not real gyro meat and the "tzatziki" sauce tasted like ranch dressing. Save your money, go somewhere else. read more

Picked up 2 Chicken and rice at the 10:40 pm. Sorry to say the quality of the food has gone down. The rice was so sticky that it reminded me of the Chinese white sticky rice. The rice was not at all "Basmati". They also give their small mini plastic containers with literally 1/4 filled with hot sauce. read more

I got the Chicken over rice Platter and for the price it gives a large portion size, tender chicken, and great white sauce drizzled on top. One thing I would recommend for the owners is to add more chairs and tables inside, as well as "liven" up the inside of the restaurant. The Restaurant inside is a nice large and open space, but a bit "bland", there's around 3 tables in total in a space that could fit at least 10. This is just some respectful criticism of course, much support to the owners on opening this great establishment. The combo over rice (half chicken half lamb) is a huge portion with the most delicious tzatziki sauce and crisp iceberg lettuce. But the lamb - is the most well-seasoned lamb I might have ever had.
