Picture of their cake that was perfect.

Friends and I had a girls weekend and stopped at the Slate Theory Winery. We went to their outside spot. We really enjoyed ourselves. Great guy at the bar that explained the different wines. Sangria was delish. Orders some small bites that were both pretty and delish. They had a great live band and we chatted with another couple and just a had an amazing time with a great breeze.

We got there too late for the cave tour, but still had a great time at the inside bar. Anson was awesome--super knowledgeable about the wines and always on top of bringing out the next tasting. The atmosphere here is great. The vineyard is beautiful, and the indoor bar and patio are just as nice. Such a great spot, especially on a pretty day.

Love the mental health focus of this winery. Definitely book the cave tasting. I appreciated the sommelier's knowledge and time spent sharing with us. The charcuterie was delicious. Would definitely return!

10/10 experience! We did the elevated food and wine tasting in the cave and it was exquisite. Charlie was our chef and sommelier, very knowledgeable and personable. The grounds are gorgeous and the weather was perfect. We also met the owner Randy, he was a light and so fun! He even volunteered to take our pictures. Loved hearing the story of this place and how it's become what it is. Will be returning.

Another lovely trip slight theory. This time we joined the wine club. I love their wines very much. And their food is yummy. We love the goat cheese appetizer and chocolate cake you must get! We love the ambience here and they are kid friendly, which is a plus for us. Definitely recommend Slate Theory!

Enjoyed our time at Slate Theory. The wine was great! We ate some light bites. They even had live music while we were there. A good time overall!

My wife and I booked the cellar tasting experience and had a wonderful time. The whole winery vibe has a mental health feel, which is pretty interesting and most of their wines have some type of psychology reference/theme. Unfortunately, I can't remember the guys name who escorted us down to the cellar, but he was fantastic. Explained to us the different wines and all of the nuances associated with them. The atmosphere is fantastic. The charcuterie board with also very good. We enjoyed the experience so much we ended up signing up for their wine club. Looking forward to visiting

We have been coming here for awhile and Nvr had a bad experience! Service is always awesome and shout out to Sam at the bar she was very helpful. The place is so clean and welcoming so come and check it out!

Outside patios with fire pits! Relaxing and a nice breeze.

MISSED OUT! They just had the wine pick-up for club members. Great wine! Excellent time with band playing. There are two buildings with one for wine tasters, visitors and club members and one building exclusive for club members. There is a ground cave for all wine tasting that is always cool year around. As you can see from the pictures or also an outdoor covered patio with live band along with individual tables with covers. The staff is friendly, very knowledgeable about wines and prompt service. As depicted in the pictures, the environment is casual, not stuffy like some places, communication among members is encouraged, and is child friendly. This is the BEST winery in Fredicksburg! Don't miss out on the fun and still by to have a fun time and taste the best wines ever.

It's such a fun and vibey winery. Everything is based on psychology. I personally love their reds -- Tannat, Schizo, The Phobic are my favorites. Plus, you can mix the wines; they're that good. 10/10 experience every time I come here. The cave experience is freaking amazing. The staff is very nice too.

This winery was beautiful! I loved the wine cave tasting. You don't need a reservation for the tasting in the main room but you do need to make a reservation in advance if you want to do your tasting in the cave. The hummus was good. They didn't have many food options but that's okay, we were mostly here for the wine. There were reds, whites, dessert wines, and more.

    2 of my personal favorites.

We have been members over 2 years, Nick the wine club manager is always so nice. Slate Theory has an outdoor area for members that is just incredible, so much outdoor seating with table heaters. Dog friendly which is a huge plus, even have poop bag stations. Nick went above and beyond to look for certain wines we were after. The owners are there frequently and the artwork is simply un-matched. Recommend doing a cave tasting, bring a jacket. Very clean everywhere you look including the restrooms. Awesome staff.

This was a fun stop on our wine hopping experience. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor seating is pet friendly. We tried some great wines and were able to get a quick bite on this stop as well. They do have a food menu as well so definitely a good stop around lunch time.

All of their wines are brought in from Italy from a family winery in Tuscany. The Andreucci family has been making wine for over two centuries. According to their history, in 1810 the quartermaster for the French Army purchased wine from the Andreucci family to serve Napoleon's troops while they were in Italy. A reproduction of the receipt issued by the French Army is shown on the label of a number of their wines. Even back then they had a reputation for making exceptional wines. The facility is small and very bright and open, with a bar for tasting and seating ares as well. It is adjacent to the Alstadt Brewery along 290 and easy to get to. Plenty of parking is available as well. We were greeted by a lovely Italian woman (Erica) who served as our sommelier. She was an energetic and vibrant person who fully described all the nuances of each of the 5 wines we tasted. While some wineries offer a pre-defined list of tasting options, Andreucci has you select 5 wines from their entire offering list. I am more of a red wine drinker (though I do also like some whites) and my wife prefers whites, so it made for a nice option to be able to select what we wanted individually. I selected the Black Label Cabernet, Montepulciano, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Grillo. My wife also chose the Chardonnay and Grillo, as well as the Donna Alma, Primitivo, and Prosecco. Erica even brought out a sample of some amazing cheese to try with the red offering. Perfecto! All the wines we tasted were very good, and we settled on purchasing a bottle of the Black Label Cabernet and one of the Grillo. They offer a wine club membership (as most all wineries do now) and offer a red club, white club, and premium club option. No membership fees. We will definitely return to this lovely location and try some additional wines next time!

I guess since they moved, their numerous customers have followed them, as the new building ( very nicely done) can take more people now. I'm sure they have their familiar faces who got larger samples, as I noticed. When brought to the attention of the person who appeared to be in charge, he just said," I would have to charge you more, if you want more." It was perhaps meant as a joke, but I didn't think it was funny. While the wine is good especially Nobilo Black Label, this kind of business should never consider a walk in as inferior customer. EACH customer is a potential return customer, a potential member of their elite "wine club"....! One can never assume .... They have enough business that my negative comment will not affect them. After 5 years of visiting this winery, I will go elsewhere.
