Very comfortable tasting room with really good wines. Three of us stopped by Airis 'Ele Vineyards on a Thursday afternoon for a tasting. We stopped here on the recommendation of friends that had stopped here earlier in the week. Airis 'Ele did not disappoint. A few things really stick out here: - Multiple covered outdoor seating areas (dog friendly) - Multiple uncovered outdoor seating areas (dog friendly) - Outdoor restrooms - Beautiful indoor seating in multiple areas - Nice bar area - Nice shop for wine stuff - Great tasting wine - Personable, knowledgable and friendly staff We sat in super comfy chairs at a small table and was served by Tyler. If you're curious of anything about Airis 'Ele, he seemed to know it all. We spent about 90 minutes tasting 5 wines and drinking a glass of our favorites. We'll be back!

Bret & Chris have offered outstanding service each time I've come in. This comfortable, spacious, unique tasting room/farm house provides an amazing environment to enjoy one of their amazing wines (Chital being one of my favorites). Bret, Chris, and the amazing staff ensure an amazing experience each time. Highly recommend.

This was the third and last stop on our wine tour. We sat outside which was nice. I think they pride themselves on being unpretentious so the wines just had 3 "personality" adjectives instead of real notes to describe the wine. I wasn't a fan of this as we took the tour to learn more about wines and find some traits we liked and made a game of guessing the notes. We weren't particularly keen on any of the wines we tried. One cool thing is you can pick any 5 wines from their list to try so everyone's tasting is different.

THE BIG: Gorgeous tasting room with decor nicely done and the view of the hill country. Tons of parking around. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here on a Sunday afternoon to make the most of our Wine Passport. We were recommended to try the wines here as one advice we got was to try their tannat. Lo'behold, it was a delicious wine and we ended up getting into a fun discussion on Texas Wines and the growth of the region. We also ended up tasting a few more of their california wines and I know my wife enjoyed those. I love the fruit forwardness of Texas wines so I'm right at home. THE FINAL BAMBOO: A tasting is around $25. It's definitely worth stopping by to do the tasting and grab a glass (or bottle) to relax.

I love this Vineyard. The place is beautiful & staff is very professional. They have the best Cab Fran here! I drove in from SA just to pick up a bottle. Try it out next time you are in Fredericksburg.

My favorite spot on our wine tour! All of the red wines were good and I took home a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon. I loved the outdoor space under the trees and appreciated that it's dog friendly. I do wish the staff shared more details about each wine instead of simply pouring them and walking off - but overall a wonderful experience and would come back!

Airis'ele went gone above and beyond for my group!! Luis did a fantastic job for our group especially handling our group of 9!!Wines are awesome and so is the gorgeous tasting room!

We loved this winery! New! Great indoor and outdoor space. Wished there was more red wine on the wine passport. Ask for Coach, super fun!

Finally made the trek over to check out Wildseed Farms. We came across this place accidentally as…read morewe were leaving Enchanted Rock. At that time, there was nothing going on and nothing growing so we decided to come back around when spring was happening. So this time around, definitely more popular, more cars and people wanting to check the place out. Essentially I was expecting this to be more of a field of flowers. But, it's basically that (although there wasn't much of it yet, just some flowers to see) and garden decor, pots, gifts, wine, pickled things, plants and LOTS of wildflower seeds to plant at home. The plants, some were decently priced, most were a little pricier. Just depends on which ones. Majority of the ones we wanted were a little better price wise vs going to home depot, at least we think so! We walked around the adventure trail (since it was free) to get some steps in and have the kids burn some of their energy out while roaming around (minus my toddler, she would want to run away and fast haha so I changed my mind on that idea). The trail itself was open, spacious and a great way to get some fresh air. You can be lucky enough to catch some glimpses of some flowers that could be sprouting out even though there's not much! The shops: they had different types of store fronts, one for food/snack/pickled items alongside a small cafe where you can order beer and wine, another for more accessories, clothing and some planting items too! They had standing wine tasting area near the trail walking area if you want to walk around with some wine. Parking: so much parking, so definitely not to worry although I can image it being more difficult when the flowers really bloom in their field.

I read that this place is pet friendly. They had a lot of plants that they were selling including…read morebluebonnets as well as planters and other garden items. They also have a store where they sell jams, salsa, and other items. They had a place in the store to try their samples. They have a restaurant to dine and do some wine tasting. We went during spring break. Unfortunately their trail didn't have much flowers blooming.

What was supposed to be A Day to remember, it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I have…read moreever had. We visited Saturday to celebrate an engagement of our children. We had been to a few other spots before and literally got red carpet treatment and people were genuinely happy we were visiting their establishment. However not the case at The Resort" We walked in and sat down and immediately the server came to take our order. She carded the newly engaged couple and asked them both for their ID's. When she realized the bride to be had a different last name then her mother, they asked for proof they were related. That's when everything got uncomfortable. For the bride to be does not share her mother's name has her mother was divorced many years ago. The server then asked to show proof of insurance where it showed that the mother paid for the daughters insurance. Being restaurant owners themselves, the mother questioned why she was being asked this, and mentioned to the server, it was getting very uncomfortable and to just forget about it. We would take our business elsewhere. The father of the bride to be felt horrible for all of us and went in to speak with a manager. The manager was rude, and started spouting off Texas ABC laws, which again our friend was a restaurant owner himself, and said there is no law that says a daughter and a mother have to share the same last name for proof of identification. By this time, the server had already packed up our wine, instead of putting it in nice bags , she put them in plastic bags, and taped them up, as if we were hobos (see pics), and brought us a bottle of wine, which she indicated was a "gift" as we think she felt bad for what had happened. The wine was not even from their winery. It was a bottle of Martha Stewart "Two Buck chuck wine". As we were leaving, the manager was in the bar, and I went over to tell him how horrible the experience was, instead of pulling me to the side to have a conversation he started yelling at me in the bar, he started quoting the same laws he had referred to previously, and told me I was never allowed to come back. I of course, said we were never coming back anyway. He was yelling at me as I left the bar. And yes, owners of the restaurant you can go back and see the video tape and watch him, follow me out yelling at me, in front of your whole restaurant. Customer service 101, even if the customer is wrong, you do not chase them out of the restaurant, make a scene in front of all your other customers, and never follow them to the parking lot,Not just bad customer service, but 100% uncouth. Then, he proceeded to tell me to fuck off as we were standing outside of the restaurant, in front of customers entering the restaurant, my son and our friends. I literally felt like I was at a low budget establishment, or bowling alley. So incredibly disappointed. Shame on you to the owners or lead manager of this establishment. You need to do better. (Im including a picture of how our wine was packed that day- where is the other open bottles from the other visitors were not sent home this way. They were sent home in nice carry bags with the Ventor's name on them)

First and foremost I appreciate the professionalism shown by Cadye with her prompt emails and answering all of my questions. She and Clint put together an awesome itinerary, our only ask was to tour Slate Theory. Everything else was suggested and curated by Cellar Rat. Second I appreciate Clint, for the whole experience the day of the tour. We paid for a private tour and it was just that. He sent a text the morning of the tour to let me know when he was set to arrive. He arrived 1 minute early in the SUV and greeted us when we came out. He had a cooler in the truck with ice and water. He is well versed in all things vino and super down-to-earth. We started the tour at Texas Wine Collective where they rolled out the red carpet. We were doing the tour on a Monday so we pretty much had the whole winery/tasting room to ourselves. Sandy at Texas Wine Collective was awesome, ask for her if you visit. While we did our tasting, Clint went to grab our lunch from Fresh Pickens. The food was AWESOME! It hit the spot definitely after all the wine and cheese Sandy gave us! After lunch, we took some photos around the property then hopped in the SUV and on to the next winery, Kuhlman Cellars. Where we were met by Malachi. Malachi served us a flight of 5 wines, 3 selected by Kuhlman and 2 selected by my wife and me. We took a couple of photos out near the vines then headed on to the last winery, Slate Theory. Slate Theory's tasting room is by far the best experience. Words can't explain it. By the time we got to Slate Theory we didn't really want to learn about the wine, we just wanted to drink; and that we did. We hung out there for about an hour before heading back to the Airbnb. Great day of drinking! Met some awesome people and got to enjoy my wife on our anniversary. Clint knew everybody by the way, definitely makes the difference when you visit because you feel like family at each location. The only thing I would change about the tour would be to add an actual tour of the facilities and vineyard to the experience. I'm a visual learner and it would be cool to tour the distillation area and barreling process while learning about the wines. All in all, I give Cellar Rat Tours 5 STARS "A+++". PS: Slate Theory charged us for the wine tasting and Clint stepped in and handled the situation and orchestrated the refund to our credit card. This guy does it all! He's our main man for real. Thank you, Clint and Cadye! Many blessings to you and your business!
