During our Main Street tour, we stopped in for a tasting after visiting another 290 winery just down from you. The experience couldn't have been more different. They had a blast and the staff shared her experience/knowledge about her personal favorite wineries in the area. I am partial to William & Chris, Ron Yates, Adega Vinho, Ferris & Fletch, Becker, and Kalasi. However, she recommended several that I hadn't tried or at least not recently. Having individuals in the group that like sweet wines, she knew exactly where to send them. Personally, I tried several dry wines that I really enjoyed. If you have not tried Fat Ass recently or better yet, since the new ownership, I encourage you to drop in for a tasting.

We caught a live performance by a young musician, and our dog got plenty of attention from other patrons. We left with branded swag to take back to California. Husband and wife owners, Rarig and Ellery, were kind enough to show us around and even took us on a tour of Main Street! Both are knowledgeable about wines and Fredericksburg, but also landscaping, raising children, dolls, ancient history, relics and artifacts, time travel, and more. We'll be coming back for sure!
