We ordered the chicken tenders, a burger combo, pastrami, watermelon wings, and fries, and everything was absolutely delicious. The pastrami was especially over the top amazing, and the watermelon wings were a huge hit! Everything was made fresh to order, and you could really taste the quality. The fries were perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable and affordable, especially considering today's economy. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The owner and his son were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative of their customers. They made us feel right at home. Dainty eaters need not apply. This is an elbows on the table all in kind of place. The burgers are massive! And delicious. They have a great selection and you can have beef, turkey or even salmon. They have chicken wings. We went for the Slauson burger and the Wild Wild West burger with fries. They have an assortment of can and bottled drinks including CBD water which I didnt know was a thing. The service is warm, friendly and welcoming. Everything was fresh. 15 minutes from LAX so if you arrive in town hungry, this is your place. read more

I ordered take out for lunch, where I ordered the shrimp poe boy sandwich and fries. The shrimp was very flavorful, tomatoes and dressing were fresh, and the bulk of the sandwich was the main ingredients as opposed to the bread. Very nice! Went to Slauson Grill today, a spot I've passed many times but never felt drawn to enter. It's not a restaurant as such, though there is a single line of seats at the windows, and I did eat there comfortably. Staff were friendly, the place clean, basically serving burgers and grilled sandwiches. I got their Islander burger with pineapple and Swiss cheese, served hot and fresh -- smash burger style, it was much better than expected. * Ignore the burger picture, it doesn't do the actual fillings justice... The owner and the cashiers are extremely rude and I was a loyal customer until today. The food is good on some days bad on others and I often go in here and spend about $50 on a 20 piece chicken wing several times a week. Today was completely unexpected. I thought I was building a relationship with the owner as a regular customer today I asked for extra lemon pepper on the side because you can barely taste the lemon pepper when you order lemon pepper wings, and the cashier proceeded to charge me an additional $.50 for lemon pepper that I wouldn't have even been asking for if you could taste the lemon pepper on the order of wings so I mentioned you know it being a little ridiculous to charge a loyal customer an additional $.50 after spending $50 on a 20 piece chicken wing and the owner backed him up and agreed that I needed to pay it so I'm on the phone with my earpiece in after I pay for the 50 Cent I'm walking out the store and I'm telling who I'm on the phone with about how they tried to charge me an additional $.50 for the lemon pepper that should've been on the chicken and the little 16-year-old cashier started yelling at me and was like just leave ma'am and stop talking about it. That's really disgusting behavior towards somebody that was a loyal customer. I was already walking out the store talking on the phone. How is a six-year-old gonna tell a grown ass woman to stop talking to who she's talking to on her phone? Just had my first visit to Slauson Grill and it did not disappoint! Family operation there for sure - nice young lady gave me the Shrimp Po Boy recommendation. Calamari style breaded shrimp (on the spot - not pre-breaded) is delicious - I wasn't sure how the shrimp was going to be offered snd this exceeded expectations. I ended up ordering the impossible burger with sweet potato fries and it was amazing. I loved that my burger AND fries were piping hot. Burger patty and buns were toasted to perfection. The service was quick and it was pretty empty when i went and wasn't too loud. Parking is very awkward so street parking would be ideal. I do prefer the Orleans and York located in Inglewood as they have more vegan/vegetarian options to choose from. This location is a 8/10! read more
