A few years ago, I had them come out to give me an estimate, and the guy was extremely friendly and…read morecool. However, when I reached out to them this year (on two separate occasions) about fixing a small leak, I could never get through to anyone, and no one ever got back to me. To me, this seems to indicate that the business is rather unreliable and unprofessional.

3 years ago, Scottie's applied plumbers putty around the sink strainer in my 83-year- old mother's…read morekitchen to stop it from leaking, then reattached the drain pipes under the sink. I was skeptical, from the start, as their estimate was written on an old auto body shop's estimate sheet. The worker finished the entire job in about 30 minutes. The sink strainer install was great. However, they charged her for all new piping under the sink when they had clearly just reconnected what was already there!! AND... adding insult to injury... (ed. Note~ I am a certified teacher, and have always been good at math.) Someone explain how: 1- Kitchen sink strainer with putty(le try s say $30 on the high end) + 30 minutes labor ______________________ $750.00 Do these fools charge $1,440 per hour for labor?!! Because thats what it works out to after subtracting the cost of the strainer...which is the only part they provided!!! or do they just take advantage of little old ladies?!! It seems to me that their bookkeeper shouldve noticed and corrected such an egregious error!! To top it all off, he used the Square and is phone to charge her, said he'd return with a receipt, and never did. Not in person or by mail!! Now this might've been a one-off screwing over of a customer, but somehow I don't think so!! They saw a vulnerable customer, and took full advantage of her lack of knowledge!! Scottie's will never receive 1 second of work from us in the future, and I'd advise everyone else to avoid them as well.

Then... today, the day scheduled for the installation, the installer said the office didn't schedule enough time to do the project and that I would need to reschedule. So... I called the office only then to be told they don't do propane. I told them that I was very specific that I needed a PROPANE water heater installed when I scheduled the appointment. Their response was they don't do propane. No apology was offered. Winter is now here and I now have to schedule with another contractor who told me it will be over a month down the road. I Am Not Pleased.

A young guy came out and had little or no plumbing parts. He charged me for two trips to Home Depot to get various PVC plumbing patts. He said he was done charged us $600 and left. The price for what he did was high, The next time we used the dishwasher it flooded our kitchen, I called again. The young guy came back looked at the plumbing a bit and off to Home Depot again. When he modified his work he said we might get a sewer smell in the kitchen. We did. He then charged us another $500. He also took the parts that had on the counter that came with the garbage disposal to connect to the plumbing.I said I want them back. He went to his pick up truck and brought them back. He lied about the work he did. An $1,100 screw job. 59 years here and thank goodness it was my first worst experience. You will never be in my home again. Period.
