However, my interaction with their administrative staff this morning left me wondering how many other parents/families experience the same interaction I had. I hate to leave businesses these type of reviews, but here my experience goes! I placed my son on the wait list several months ago after reading all of the wonderful Yelp reviews and this being so close to home. As we all know, there is such a high demand for speech services, so I was extremely glad that I was able to even place him on their wait list. Well, today I received a call from their facility. I was given the option of enrolling my son into two sessions (Thursday in the afternoon and Friday at 8am). I do understand that I selected the open availability selection, but seriously, 8am? That's the time I start work. Anyway, I didn't mention that to the admin lady. I asked her if I can give her a call back in five minutes. She proceeds to tell me, "I mean, I'm going down the list of parents who stated they have an open availability spot, so you can call me back, but this is a first come first serve type of spot." Or whatever she said at the end. Then she stated, "Open availability means you can come at anytime." Now, this irritated me because why would you try to be condescending? I also needed to consult the time with my husband given we work two different schedules and needing to confirm Friday at 8am would work for him. I would've also had to notify my supervisor who is extremely supportive. But, after she stated that I gave an attitude back and told her to remove my son from the waitlist then I hung up. I'm very disappointed given I felt this could've worked if she would've allowed me to confirm scheduling with 1. My husband and 2. My employer, however there wasn't much grace there which resulted in how the conversation ended. I hope your experience is better than mine! Well that's the type of impact Maria had on our family. Things were just going downhill for us, we were so new to concepts and acronyms like PT/OT/IEP/ABA, Regional Center rules and lingos, diagnosis, provisional, insurance, deductibles, etc. Our son needed help, we needed guidance and support and we literally had nothing and no one that could help. Then we found Maria. She listened to the entire story of what my son was going through, and Maria was sincerely and attentively listening. Not halfheartedly, but genuinely listening and asking questions with me for couple days, even before I decided to hire her! She was so attentive to my concerns that it felt like I was talking to my best friend, or my sister about our concerns. Maria is very much passionate about being an ABA therapists and truly wants to help those that need ABA services. I can see the genuine dedication in her work, in her words and in her positive vision of the goals our son will meet. I had to cancel my appointment approximately an hour and a half before the scheduled session because I received a call from my son's school informing me that he was not feeling well and needed to be picked up immediately. As any parent knows, illnesses and emergencies do not happen on a schedule. Children can become sick at any time, and sometimes there is simply no way to provide additional notice. Despite explaining the situation, I was still charged a $50 cancellation fee. When I spoke with the bookkeeper, Gladys, there was no willingness to consider the circumstances or show any flexibility. I was told that the fee could not be waived or reimbursed, regardless of the reason. What makes this especially disappointing is that this is a facility that works with children, including autistic children. Families caring for children with special needs often face unexpected challenges, illnesses, sensory overload, and meltdowns that cannot always be predicted within a strict cancellation window. I would expect a therapy center serving these families to show more understanding and compassion. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like the policy mattered more than the well-being of the children and families they serve. Rather than feeling supported, I felt like just another number being charged a fee. As a result, today was my last session with this facility. I will be taking my business elsewhere to a therapy provider that values families, understands real-life circumstances, and prioritizes children over profits. I hope management takes the time to reconsider how situations involving sick children and family emergencies are handled in the future

Sheryl, the coordinator, is always available to help us with anything we need. My nephew is in the Progressive Steps Program, and it has been an amazing experience for our…read morefamily. The program provides therapy for child development, including OT and speech therapy, and it has truly helped my nephew so much. When he first started the program, he didn't speak a single word. Now he is talking a lot more and is able to express himself, which has been incredible to see. The progress he has made shows how much care and effort the team puts into helping every child grow and develop. We also attend a group class once a week, and it's wonderful. It's a great opportunity for the kids to interact, learn together, and continue building their skills in a supportive environment. The teachers, Stephanie and Justin, are the best. They are patient, kind, and truly dedicated to helping the children succeed. I honestly love all the teachers there -- they create such a warm and positive place for the kids. I highly recommend the Progressive Steps Program to any family with children who may be experiencing developmental delays. It's a truly special place that helps children find their voice and reach their potential.

I sought out Trapti during my pregnancy after experiencing persistent low back pain in my first and…read moresecond trimesters, along with very frequent urination. Prior to working with her, I had seen a pelvic floor PT through my insurance and was told my pelvic floor was both tight and weak. While that experience was somewhat informative, the guidance I received - mainly belly breathing and a few yoga exercises - didn't lead to meaningful or lasting improvements. As an occupational therapist myself, I have an understanding the body and therapeutic approaches, but pelvic floor therapy is not my area of expertise, and there is still limited research in this space. That made it even more important for me to find someone highly knowledgeable and experienced. Trapti is incredibly well versed in this work and is truly an expert in what she does, which gave me a lot of confidence throughout our sessions. Working with Trapti has been a completely different experience. She takes a truly holistic, bio-psycho-social approach, looking beyond just the physical mechanics. She spent time understanding my stress levels, lifestyle, habits, mindset, and even incorporated a level of spirituality into our sessions that I deeply appreciated. It made the work feel more connected, intentional, and impactful. The exercises and strategies she provided addressed not only my pelvic floor, but also the surrounding muscles and my overall well-being. Now at 34 weeks pregnant, I am experiencing zero low back pain, my stress levels feel much more regulated, and I can actually feel my pelvic floor responding and blooming with my breath while also getting stronger in preparation for a natural, medication-free birth. One of my initial fears was tearing during labor, and Trapti has been incredibly supportive and proactive in helping me work through that concern. I feel confident that I'm being guided in the right direction and truly trust her process. I'm looking forward to continuing my remaining sessions and love that I can also save some for postpartum care. I cannot recommend Trapti enough. This has been one of the most impactful parts of my pregnancy journey.

I felt comfortable with her and never felt like I needed to advocate for myself. She cared about my progress as much as I did! Due to some challenging circumstances at home and my work schedule, I wasn't able to dedicate as much time to my exercises as I would have liked. Trapti worked with me to adjust my program and encouraged me that the process takes time. As long as I'm working on it, I will get to the finish line! She was available anytime I had questions and taught me about my body and mind and how everything is connected. During one session in particular, she spent half our time encouraging me and talking with me about some things I was going through, unrelated to my pelvic floor. But reminded me that so much of our mental and emotional states affect the pelvic floor. She gave me practical ways to release stress and relax my pelvic floor. She felt more like a friend, walking and working with me through each sessions. It was bittersweet when I reached my goals! I was happy to no longer experience incontinence, pain, or a weakened core, but was sad I wouldn't see Trapti regularly anymore! I am so thankful I found her to help me on this journey! I highly recommend her!
