I normally get my hair professionally done at a salon where turning my hair purple with pravana vivids usually runs me about 140$ but sleek hair sells it for only 10$ and you don't even have to pay shipping because you can pick up the items yourself in Tustin (15 minute drive from UCI). As a first time customer I was extremely surprised that items could be picked up within three hours of your order and since I needed a six month supply of pravana I decided to order and pick up after visiting my old roommates. To my surprise the lobby is a sample room where they have a display of items they sell on their website, that you can try on! The girl who greeted me even offered me to try samples and was extremely nice! I had no idea what to expect since I had never purchased anything from them nor did I check yelp reviews before I hit buy so this was a very pleasant surprise for me. Had a great experience with curbside service right on the spot. Was expecting to do "in-store" shopping as listed on Google maps but I guess they're only doing online to curb-side pickup. With that in mind, a wonderful employee with blue highlights in her hair greeted me at the door immediately, we browsed the online shop together while she went to check their stock on the items I wanted. They ran out of specific sizes of some of the product I wanted, but nevertheless I still got what I came for. I gave her my card and she completed my order while I waited outside approximately 5-10 minutes when she dropped my products in a bag and invoice with a complimentary comb to boot. Was pleasantly taken care of in spite of some hurdles with the pandemic. I had a great and efficient service for sure with all things considered. I never write bad reviews but after what happened to me this month I will NEVER be going to sleekhair.com to shop ever again!! They were not helpfully at all! I bought something back in December, I saw them charge my card the day my purchase was made and a whole month later they charged my card again for who knows what reason! And now they don't want to give me my money back! They charged my card in December and than again in January for the same amount claiming they supposedly delayed my payment. I'd understand if it was maybe 2 days but a whole month later now that's BS! They left a very unhappy customer and not a good way to run a business! I was a long time customer and have purchased hundreds of dollars worth of hair care over the last few years. I've always been happy with my experience until recently. I find that the products I typically used are never in stock. This has become an ongoing issue. Finally, I decided to tried new products based on reviews and found them to be quite terrible. I called Sleek Hair and asked to return them. They told me there would be a restocking fee and I had to pay for shipping. They made no effort to keep me as a customer and were indifferent to my experience. I found the customer service girls to be robotic and unhelpful. Do yourself a favor and shop on Amazon.
