Did a search on Expedia for "pet friendly hotel" in Dripping Springs, TX. This hotel came up. I booked it. After my stay, I get a $108 bill for having a pet. My card was charged after I left, not before, not during, but after. This is underhanded if you ask me. Other than that, hotel was okay. Maybe a 2-star out of 5. The majority of clients seemed to be Spanish-speaking migrant workers. Breakfast was okay. Shower water regulator was so tight I do not recommend shampooing unless you have the time and patience to SLOWLY rinse it out (or leave with shampoo still in your hair). Would I book again? No way because they charge your card without your knowledge or approval. And you're just supposed to eat it because they can. read more

Obviously this is a place a lot of people book for the night after a wedding. I thought the facility was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast is complimentary but setup now in a weird, order the night prior for pickup, I guess to limit groups accumulating. The "heated" indoor pool is in a nice room but definitely not heated. Summertime would probably heat the pool more if it were outdoors. I think my only complaint which some have stated before is the noise. The walls are thin and the doors are the heaviest things ever. Every time someone opens their door next to you or above you, you'll hear it slam. This could be at 1 am, or 5 am and when you're in a popular wedding area, you can bet people stay up late. So if you're wanting a good nights sleep at the Sleep Inn... bring ear plugs. read more

Avoid this property. My wife and I checked into a room with no air conditioning and requested a new room. We had to move to a different room and then required to move again the next day. I am a Platinum Marriott member but we stayed here for a wedding and this property was recommended by the wedding party. **UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!** My fiance and I used the Sleep Inn for our hotel wedding block for 20+ rooms. The rates we were given were comparable to others in the area and we were offered a complimentary 14-passenger shuttle for our wedding guests with at least 10 guest rooms booked, which I thought was an awesome perk since our venue was just down the street. Throughout the planning, Kirtan, the owner, was always willing to help, replied back to our emails/calls within 24 hours, and was an absolute CHAMP when it came to helping us through the COVID-19 pandemic, which ultimately affected our wedding since our wedding venue was forced to shut down/cancel our wedding for 4/5. With all of the stress of our wedding being canceled due to COVID-19, Kirtan personally called to check up on us and offered to release our rooms so our guests wouldn't have to worry about calling/canceling. This was SUCH a weight off our shoulders, and truly spoke to the amazing customer service that Kirtan and his staff have! Aside from the personal service you'll receive here, the complimentary breakfast here is fresh, delicious, and high-quality! The parking is free & plentiful, the rooms/areas are all kept pristine, and the convenience of this hotel being located to so many local attractions, vineyards, and wedding venues is a HUGE perk! There was a significant issue with the hotel sending its van to pick up a group of us (12 people total) from a nearby wedding venue at Camp Lucy. The driver was over an hour late, causing everyone to be stranded at midnight, standing outside in the cold, with no other access to cabs or any guarantee a driver would even come for us at all. Multiple people placed several calls to the hotel. At one point, I had to let the phone ring THIRTY-TWO (32) times to get anyone to pick up. The concierge, Chris, was also extremely rude, provided no assistance, and hung up on me after saying he didn't want to help. We were ready to call the police for an escort as a last resort. This was easily, hands-down, the absolute worst experience at a hotel we have ever had. To top it off, the rooms were extremely dirty, with dust everyone and several yellow stains streaked across the sheets. Excellent customer service. When Texas experienced the 2021 freeze and Austin lost water pressure, my wife and I were looking for somewhere to go to shower and get some water on Friday. The asst. manager explained they were full the night before and didn't want to kick anyone out. They took my name and put me on a standby list. The next morning they called and told me a room was available if we wanted it...and we did. The room was clean. We then booked another room for Monday since we were still without water. The water started working late on Sunday night. I called and explained we no longer needed the room, but I understood they had a 48 hr. Cancellation policy. The asst. manager understood and we agreed to a $35 no show charge. In light of what was going on, they could have really taken advantage, but they did not. Very nice hotel throughout. Lobby had definitely been remodeled as the rooms did look a few years older, shower was very spacious as it was a walk in and very comfortably fit two. I appreciate the padded headboard for good sound proofing and the other wall was far enough away I didn't feel as if We might've been disturbing anyone trying to sleep. We've stayed in a lot of hotels at this price range. This was by far one of the better ones. Nice pool area, clean rooms, nice bathrooms, soft pillows, comfy beds, and good work area. The breakfast was really nice compared to others. Tons of fresh fruit!! Coffee was good too. Basic things like eggs, sausage, biscuits - however they did have sausage gravy which was nice. I just couldn't get over the fruit options - strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, papaya, pineapple and peaches. We chose this Sleep Inn because of it's convenient proximity to Camp Lucy and we were not disappointed. This is an exceptionally clean facility. Our room was immaculate .... so much so, my felt wife compelled to leave the housekeeper a tip! The beds were comfortable, the carpeting was clean, the bath was spotless. Our room came with a small microwave, a mini-fridge, iron, hair dryer and flat screen tv. The property offers free wifi; and while not blazingly fast, it provided a strong signal and we were able to access the Internet without any problems. The raves you've read about the breakfast buffet are well deserved. This was an exceptional benefit for guests. Eggs, bacon, sausage,hash browns and waffles (make your own) are part of the hot side. Then, there's the toast, muffins, pastries, and bagels, with all kinds of jams to choose from. The fruit bar was amazing. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, melons, kiwi, pineapple, mango and so on. Oh, and for good measure, there's yogurt, cereal and a fruit juice dispenser. The coffee was very good, too. So, why not five star? A few reasons. 1) As noted in another review, Tiffany is not really well suited to be a receptionist. She did not greet us with a smile and seemed genuinely annoyed when my wife asked if pillows were foam or feather. The manager indicated in his response to the reviewer he would speak to Tiffany about her attitude. I don't think she got the message. 2) The hotels says it's "pet friendly". At $100 a night (not per stay) I don't see how they can claim to be "friendly". I understand a pet fee; perhaps by the size of the pet, but $100 is out of line. 3) There is only one elevator for the three floors. On several occasions we shared our elevator with housekeeping carts and luggage racks. On other occasions, we had to wait an inordinate amount of time for the elevator to reach the ground level. 4) We were not offered a copy of our receipt upon departure. Surprising. As others have noted the rates are relatively high; but when you are one of only few places to stay in the immediate area, you pay for the location. First, SLEEP INN is aware there is a problem with their address and GPS. But just a heads up your google GPS will take you 6 miles PAST the hotel. Second, their ethostream WiFi absolutely sucks. Difficult to log onto and didn't work for more that a few minutes when you COULD get on. Discussed with Desk Mgr. who agreed after rebooting the system that his phone wasn't getting on either, "guess that's just the way it is". Seriously, in 2018???? Bad WiFi for $200/night hotel? Third, I have stayed his at this location 3 times over the years and have always been impressed. The bed still comfy, bathrooms are very nice, clean room. However, we got a "suite" this weekend which means a living area in addition to the bedroom. Great until we realized ONE light switch worked the entire living area -ceiling lights, dining and breakfast bar all light up at same time and there's only one lamp. This is a large area! So your either blinded or in the dark, AND no plugs anywhere to bring in a bedroom lamp. The AC in this room was two of those wall mounted Toshiba units-not nearly as good at cooling so we had to lower temp way down to get comfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of it, but orange juice was watery, coffee not hot and the person who was managing the whole shebang didn't like to clean the tables after folks left everything on them instead of throwing it all away. (seriously folks? Is that how you were raised?) Don't if it's just old and not time to update or under new management but we're not happy as usual and we could have stayed closer to our event venue but I insisted we stay here. This is my second time at this hotel and both visits more than 2 nights. Rooms are comfortable and with all the amenities you expect (fridge, iron, coffee maker etc). Lobby is good for meeting in if you are with multiple guests or need to sit and chat with someone local. But here's my favorite part of this hotel...the breakfast. Holy cow!!! I love breakfast and this place is nirvana in the grand scheme of complimentary hotel breakfasts. I usually do not expand much out of the fruit section - about 7-9 different varieties of fresh fruit, not just a couple of bananas and some canned pears in a bowl. The hot breakfast has eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, waffles and probably something else I didn't notice. Family and I stayed for a wedding in Dripping Springs in May. Sleep Inn and Suites completely messed up each one of our reservations and incorrectly charged each of us. My mom was covering 3 rooms, mine, hers and my grandmothers. They charged me for my room after they told me they just needed "a card on file" then my grandmother was charged for her room on the same basis, then my mother was charged over $1,000 for what? NO ONE KNOWS! Clueless staff at the front desk and clueless manager saying they have no record of charges. Very shoddy operation that the manager claims to run "on the up and up" Issues have still yet to be resolved as they want us to dispute charges with our bank instead of them making charges right. Highly do not recommend! read more

My girlfriend and I needed a quick one night stay for a wedding down the road, so we booked a room with you guys last minute. When we checked into the room the price ended up being $30 more than advertised which I thought was odd but they said taxes were not included in the online price. I let that go because I was excited to get to the room and start getting ready for the wedding. The wedding coordinator gifted us a bottle of wine that we brought back to the room after the reception and my girlfriend accidentally spilled some on the bed spread. We tried cleaning it up as best we could that night and then checked out the next morning. Three days later we were charged an unreasonable amount of money ($379) for the spill at the foot of the bed. There was no invoice or call to explain why. When I called to simply get an explanation to what I thought was an accidental charge I was pretty much told immediately that they would take me to small claims court and to deal with the charge. All I wanted to do was talk reasonably about why the charge was almost twice as much as the price we payed to stay in the room. Our quick one night stay turned into a $650 night that was caused from a simple accident that we would have easily cleaned up better if we knew we were going to get charged an unreasonable amount of money! We were really disappointed in the way the whole situation was handled and unfortunately we will need to relay this story to others due to the amount we had to pay for an honest mistake. read more

This place is fantastic! My family lives nearby and my daughter asked to stay here as her birthday present (we drive by every few days, and she always asks about it). So I booked a room for us, and we had such a delightful stay! The lady who checked us in, Amanda, was lovely, and the room was clean and charming and quiet. The views of the Hill Country are great, and the breakfast! Oh my gosh--the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. The selection was incredible for a hotel that size, and I was really impressed by how much fruit they had. None of the lame cantaloupe that no one wants to eat--they had peaches and cherries and grapefruit and strawberries and probably 10 more varieties I can't recall. Plus, make your own waffle--who doesn't love that? I know there's a pool, but we didn't go, so I can't comment on that. My one wish is that they had an on-site restaurant, but I know Pizza Cave is moving next door soon. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. There's nothing not to like. read more

It's a nice hotel, the breakfast has fresh fruit but everything is gross. I have stayed a total of 3 weeks here and my complaints are; No ink for the printer- none the entire 3 weeks. Have you ever had to go to the print shop with 3 small children? They called my room EVERYDAY at 1030 to remind me check out is at 12. Woke up my sleeping baby and can tell time, thank you. The cleaning people knock on your door 3 times from 10-12 even of you have a do not disturb sign on it. They didn't apply ANY of our stays to their point program. Pool is COLD! It's indoor and not heated. Soooo cold! Ok for the money, I've stayed in worse but it's not everything they say it will be. read more

I stayed at this hotel twice. First time was a 4-star experience the second a 2-star. The first time the room was great and everything seemed new. The second time however the room had a moldy smell and things looked worn out. The pool was also out of service and they worked out a deal with the YMCA but we didn't bother since it was so out of the way. The staff at the front desk just *always* seems overwhelmed. We stayed at 2 hotels in this area and this one far exceeded the other. The staff was super friendly. We got asked about our stay about 4 times. It seems like it has been newly renovated. The rooms have really high ceilings and enormous walk in showers. They have a gorgeous common area patio with a grill!! Their indoor pool is really cute and handicap accessible. We didn't swim but we enjoyed the incredibly comfortable couches around the pool. The breakfast was out of this world. It had something for everyone and SO MUCH FOOD. I got up in the morning to take a shower and go to a consultant job to find there was no hot water in my room. I was unable to take a shower. Then I went to pick up my grab and go breakfast, that I had filled out the night before , and they didn't have the form. They went to the front desk to find my form and couldn't find it. I had to do it again and then wait for it. Not being able to take a shower was unacceptable. There was no one at the front desk. The kitchen staff said that they would let maintenance know that there wasn't hot water in my room. It didn't help me! read more

UPDATE: GM called and was mortified about what happened. He apologized multiple times and seemed very genuine. He went the extra mile and is making it up to us. He has spoken to the individuals involved and other employees to make sure this doesn't happen again. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE-DO NOT COME HERE After making sure everything was set and ready BEFORE my wedding the guy at the front working the night shift not only was dressed in dirty clothes, was incredibly rude, and refused to allow us to check in on our wedding night. My mom had gotten us the room as a gift, she spoke to a lady during the day and got everything ready for us, the lady put in the reservation notes that all my husband and I had to do when we got there was pick up the keys. The guy working the night shift first, didn't greet us when we walked through the door, he was in the back facing away from us on his cell phone, then when he came up to us and we said we were checking in he "couldn't" find our reservation or key under our name, so he went through the 3 reservation papers with keys they had on the desk, then went on the computer, this took about 20 min. Then he put the 3 papers with names and room keys on the top part of the desk and told us to choose one... the one on top was OUR NAME. Then he says he needs the credit card (which I get you need when you check in normally but we were told earlier that we didn't need to since my mom already checked us in) so we kindly explained that to him, he started to argue with us and we told him that there should be a note, he started to get frustrated with us and told us that there is no note. I asked if it had to be her card and not a different one to hold until the charge the card they had on file, he refused. After going back and forth with this guy we ask for his supervisor, he claims to be the supervisor, I told him no I want YOUR supervisor, he still kept saying how he is the manager and no one else. So he then tells me to call my mom, it's 3:00 in the morning my mom is asleep. So I call her and he YELLS AT MY MOM OVER THE PHONE. Then after he's done with her on the phone still being incredibly rude yelling at us he says "do you have another card?" Like I asked this BEFORE we called my mom and you yelled at her, I tell him I do but there's not enough for the room (keep in mind this is an over priced $300 room) and he says oh that's not going to work- still having an attitude. Then this guy proceeds to THREATEN to charge my moms card first thing in the morning as a no show even though we were in the lobby trying to check in and kept threatening it over and over. So we ended up having to drive home on our wedding night. Thank god we live in driftwood so the drive wasn't very far cause I'd we came from way out of town we wouldn't have had anywhere to go. My mom spoke to a real manager the next day, and he looked up the account and found the note saying that we were checked in and all we had to do was grab the keys. Oh and the jackass from our wedding night not only charged my mom once but charged her TWICE. So if you're coming all the way to the wedding capital, DO NOT COME HERE. Incredibly disappointing. All around horrible experience. I am finally getting around to reviewing vendors, etc. that we engaged for our wedding. Normally, I do not write reviews but, I wanted to share our experiences with other couples in the midst of wedding planning in the hopes of being some help. Our experience with the Sleep Inn in Dripping Springs was incredibly disappointing and all around horrible. We booked four rooms at the Sleep Inn to accommodate three people per room (though the rooms accommodate 4 per room) purely to allow the 12 members of my wedding party to change between ceremonies that day. The total amount of time we expected to be in the room was about an hour at most. When my family arrived at the hotel to change on the day of my wedding, the manager/owner ("Owner"), refused to allow my family to check in for a significant amount of time, demanding a rooming list before they checked in. My family offered to identify the names of the people who were going to be in each room so that the Owner could put it on the registration card, but he refused to accept this and insisted that they produce a rooming list. I do not know how this Owner expected my family to produce a rooming list at the last minute at the time of check in on my wedding day, but he was insistent. My family found his tone to be very condescending and insulting. As a result of this delay, my parents, sister, and a few other of the most important people in my life missed an important ceremony. What saddened me the most, was the fact that my family, who have a pretty tough skin, felt that the behavior they experienced from the Owner was a reaction to our ethnic and cultural background. I felt horrible that my family had such an experience, especially on such an important day. The treatment received from the Owner was also incredibly embarrassing for my family. On top of all of this, when I called Choice Hotels corporate to notify them of our experience after the wedding was over, I was treated with the same disregard. I have traveled quite a bit for work and leisure and we have never experienced such treatment before. If I could give this business a negative rating, I absolutely would. read more

When staying at this hotel, be certain to request a shower tub if desired since some rooms come with a shower. This hotel is new, but somewhat typical of moderately priced hotels. We stayed here over the Christmas Holidays 2017. The resevation process was VERY aggravating because the Choice website was inconsistent with the actual policies of this specific location. However, Lucas at the front desk was very helpful in sorting out the mess. We really appreciated his professionalism. Newer Hotel. Very comfortable bed. Room fan with a "Constant Fan-On" option (I hate the motel air conditioners that go on and off all night). What really made the stay in this hotel worth it though was the breakfast. Bar none it was the best free Motel breakfast I've had anywhere! Every kind of fruit and berries you can imagine.
