Noontime rolls around and I am made aware the truck has broken down, delivery will be delayed until 5:30ish. I understand sometimes circumstances don't play out as expected but by 6pm I still had no sign of the beds. Mind you, I had prepared prior, disassembled and scrapped the old metal bed frames (which they don't do for you) and now my old mattress is lying on the floor. Worried, I called the Kingston store where the man who answered continued to reassure me. "They are only a stop away, your beds will be delivered in less than a half hour!" Bullshit!! I was told 7:45 the latest, the beds purchased would be in my possession. It is now 8:30 and i'm writing this review from my floor... this is what almost $3000 and false information does! I would never recommend!

I have been royally ripped off today by this company…read more Last June I purchased a mattress and box spring; I exchanged only the mattress in July because it was uncomfortable (too firm), no problem. Two men arrived, they removed the mattress, they replaced it, the entire thing took five minutes or less. I then went back into the store last week because that mattress is also causing me issues. The salesperson did not have the different brand mattress in stock and recommended I go to Raymour and Flanigan, which I did immediately. There, I found a replacement mattress (memory foam). I then went back to Mattress Firm thinking they might have this in stock (since I wanted to keep the purchase "in house" with the least hassle for all parties.) The salesperson told me that is not in stock either and there's a wait list for October. That puts me outside my 120 day warranty, so I returned the mattress AND box spring (on paper) and somehow, despite the mathematics, I was shorted about $300. I still don't know how that happened but at this point I wasn't going to argue and she couldn't "fix" it because the "computer" calculated the return amount. I returned to Raymour and Flanigan and purchased another set: mattress and box spring. It was to be delivered tomorrow (Sunday, 8/22). Today (8/21) the Mattress Firm delivery personnel arrived to remove my mattress and box spring. The Superintendent of my building was with them when they got to my door. The younger delivery man stayed, the older went back downstairs with the Superintendent (I have no idea why). The younger man entered my apartment, took the mattress off the box spring, and put it against the pantry door in my living room (in the process he dislodged my security camera and broke it). I objected to this, as I now suspected it might be damaged this way and I knew they'd blame me, but he insisted it was OK and then went back into the bedroom (with me right behind him) and reached down for the box spring, in the process he TORE OFF THE TAGS ON THE BOX SPRING. The box spring was the original delivered to me in June and it had NOT BEEN TOUCHED until the man did it. The tags were lying on the floor. He took the box spring into the hall and leaned it against the wall, examined it intently, then told me THE TAGS WERE REMOVED and he COULD NOT TAKE IT BACK. HE had removed the tags, I had NO idea what he was talking about. We went back and forth this way for a couple of minutes, I called the store, the salesperson told him "If the tags are on the mattress, TAKE THE MATTRESS". At this point, I knew I was going to be STUCK WITH THE BOX SPRING but I thought well, I can cancel the box spring for the new mattress and use this one! His partner had reappeared and the partner said he had to GO BACK DOWNSTAIRS to call the "warehouse" because the tags were NOT ON THE BOX SPRING. Meanwhile, he had a cell phone in his hand, so now I know something is NOT RIGHT about this, correct? I had asked the younger man to step out of my apartment so he was standing in the hall in my doorway. When his partner left, he told me he had to bring the box spring back into the apartment. I KNEW there was a gimmick here and I said NO, first take the MATTRESS out, but he refused. He said he couldn't put the mattress on the "dirty rug in the hall" (even though the rug is not dirty and the box spring was already there!) He stepped toward me, I told him stay out of my apartment, take the mattress first, he stepped toward me again and used one of his hands to try to push me out of the way. At that point, I called the store again. End result: THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE MATTRESS BACK EVEN THOUGH IT HAS ALL ITS TAGES AND IS IN ABSOLUTE MINT CONDITION, NO DAMAGE AT ALL, NOTHING. So now I spent $4300.00 for a mattress THEY REFUSE TO TAKE BACK because the BOX SPRING (sold SEPARATELY) doesn't have the right tag. I called the bank, they are disputing the entire charge, and I went to the police department and filed a report regarding what the younger man did. WHY DID I DO THAT? Because this company is RUTHLESS and who knows WHAT that guy was going to say! ANYTHING is possible. I did not press charges, YET. I find it particularly ODD and SIGNIFICANT that the box spring, original to the purchase in June, somehow INVALIDATES the warranty ON THE MATTRESS especially when the delivery person REMOVED THE TAGS IN MY SIGHT and then tried to push me out of his way so he could bring the box spring back into my apartment. I'm over 65 years old! WTH is wrong with these people? DO NOT SPEND MONEY IN THIS STORE.

They took our entire contents of our house and said they would have it to us in about a week out of state. Well, turns out they emptied all of our stuff into their warehouse (I have photos from someone who sent them to me) and then used the truck for other moves...keeping our entire lives for a MONTH before we begged them to please bring it. Trucks broke down, can't find help...one line after another. Then, when it arrived they upped the price, asked for a cashier check or cash or wouldn't release..we were desperate and heart broken. Finally, we got our lives back and a broken large screen Mac Computer. It was one of the most disrespectful, unprofessional, lying business I have ever experienced. STAY AWAY! I was also harassed with emails when I posted this on Yelp to take down my honesty. Not okay. Never called to apologize help...nothing. A CON GAME FOR SURE. I stand by my words here. I live in the Hudson Valley and wanted to find someone local to service my mechanical watches. I…read moretook one of my watches to Genters because I thought it would be better than sending it out to the manufacturer, I might get better communication & more personal response. Man, was I wrong! The owner, Keith Genter, looked at my watch and said he would order parts. He told me he would have the watch repaired in 2-3 weeks. After hearing nothing for 5 weeks, I called him (during his business hours) and left a message for him to call me about my watch. I got no reply, so I called again 2 days later. No reply. So I called again another few days later. Finally, after 4 more attempts, I got Keith on the phone. He never returned a call - he just happened to pick up that time. He then told me that he needed my input on which part I wanted him to order! Not only did he not ever call me to ask for my input, he wouldn't even return my repeated calls when he needed my input. I gave him the input he needed and he said he'd have the part in a week. 3 weeks went by with no call. So I went through the process again. This time it took 5 attempts to get him to call me back. When I asked him why he was not returning my calls, he said that my messages were "broken up" and that I must have been in an area with bad cell service when I left them (all 5). What's interesting about that is that I called him from a land line every time. So I asked him what the status of my repair was... he said he needed my input on which part I wanted him to order - again. After giving him another 5 weeks - and a total of almost 4 months, he had not done anything to my watch. I drove to his shop and asked for it back. At which time he literally slapped it down on the glass counter (no case) and said, "Here you go." I told him how disappointed I was with my experience, and the amount of time he took to do nothing - and his complete lack of communication or courtesy. To that he responded, "I've had some customer's watches here for over three years!" I guess that was supposed to make me feel better about the service I got? It was a ridiculous waste of time!
