We are new to Sleep Number and our bed just delivered 3 weeks ago. After delivery on 5/22, we reported to the store where we purchased the bed that the bed was too high and not the same level as we requested, which was the same height as the mattress removed. The bed is over our headboard and footboard. We can't even put the comforter on the bed because it's too far down onto the foot board. We went into the store. The gentleman Hiram who works at the store notified us that the manager will be back the following week. We waited to visit with the store manager Micah upon his return . He notified us that he will check into it and follow up with us to try to get the issue resolved. A few days later we checked back with the store manager Micah and he said he sent in a request to have a case manager reach out to resolve the issue. We waited over a week but no one contacted us . I looked up the customer service number and contacted them directly . Diana notified me that we were outside of the 14 day period to have a technician come out for no charge . I explained that we reported the issue well within the 14 days. She advised me that the system wouldn't let her override in order to waive the charge but she said a case manager would be able to help. Diana asked me to look under the bed to count how many pegs high the bed legs were from the floor and it's 3 pegs high. She agreed the bed was high. She then transferred me to David who was immediately very short with me and rude after I explained again the issue with the bed. He said well you can do it yourself or pay $190 for someone to come out. I explained my husband has knee replacements and the store manager has already expressed how difficult this would be to do ourselves. He simply said he can't speak to what we can or cannot do, emailed the instructions and ended the call. In my profession and experience with customers. This was by far the rudest most unprofessional service we've ever received after spending 12k on a bed. I can't imagine if we had a mechanical problem with the bed .. Thankfully we are within the 100 day period to return. What a disappointment. read more

Sleep Number - Height of bed. - Mattresses Near Me - Poughkeepsie, New York

I purchased a bed as well as the upholstered bed from Sleep number in Poughkeepsie. They were happy to oversell very expensive items. The sales person Scott is rude and entitled and acted as though he was doing me a favor after spending over $11k in this store. Deliver was a nightmare - you wait weeks to get it and they don't deliver on time. I called customer service and they were as rude as Scott - apparently that's Sleep Number trains their employees. The so-called manager stated " I didn't understand delivery - maybe just not from a cut rate operation!!!! When asked to speak with a manager, they refuse to give you a name or number Which is becoming clandestine at best. i however did receive a call from their regional and he appeared decent. In the long run, I would shop anywhere but this store. Horrible experience overall. I'd rate this less than one star if possible. read more

SLEEP NUMBER IS THE BIGGEST SCAM EVER!!!! My Sleep Number Queen Bed costing $2300 lasted not even 9 months!!!! This bed is a load of crap made from foam, cardboard, and bubble wrap, all zippered up in a costly fabric. I could not get my money back and when I complained that the bed broke through the center,they only sent me more of the same foam wrapping that ripped Made it sound like it was my fault that I slept in the middle of the bed. Sleep Number even has a special customer service dept for "Center of Bed Issues," so they lied when they first said my type of complaint was rare. Now they are sending me something to keep the 2 separate sleeping areas on the queen size together. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE. AND IT IS GARBAGE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! The bed we purchased is Great, however the shopping experience at the Poughkeepsie galleria store was the worst. It was so bad the sales rep we had called my home to apologize. For the way we were treated by his manager, who also degraded him in our presence. The manager kept saying that it was suppose to be his day off, he was there only "because of the stupid survey the company has online" this wasn't his sale. I told him next time stay HOME! The bed is fantastic, but the customer service at the Galleria store has a LOT to be desired. My wife and I bought the bed from a new hire, who for the most part, did his job. It was his announcement of taking a heavy shit in the bathroom that left us a bit disconcerted. However, the complaint isn't about this guy, but rather Scott Gray, who has to be the rudest jerk I've ever dealt with in a customer service scenario. The $100 pillow I had purchased wasn't working out, and I was told on my initial purchase that I had 30 days to exchange. Upon entering the store, I sat down at the desk and proceeded to tell Mr Gray about my pillow. He abruptly told me to elaborate, in a rude manner, since apparently I didn't know how to describe my pillow problems. He then brought me over to the same bed model I had purchased, and gave me a new pillow to try. As I was trying it, he told me that I have to get it right, because there was no other exchange available. I guess he thought I was some sort of moron. I accepted the terms and went back to the desk to exchange my pillow. Since I had a king size pillow, he then told me it would have to be ordered, which was fine. He starts to do a bunch of paperwork, complaining to me that there is a new protocol, and he still hasn't gotten the grasp of the new itineraries. Figured since he was the manager, he'd know the protocols inside and out. I sat silent for about ten minutes as he did the work, then he tells me that I will owe an extra thirty dollars for the new pillow. This is where I stopped cold. I wanted to exchange the pillow I had for a softer one of the same kind, but apparently Sleep Number doesn't make a softer pillow of the type I bought. I told him that it was ridiculous to purchase a higher priced pillow especially if I didn't have the opportunity to exchange it, and he states rudely that the pillow I want doesn't exist. Instead of making it work for me, he basically just told me to go F myself. I figured I'd be better off buying a twenty dollar pillow from Target and not dealing with this cretin. I didn't even get the chance to just return the pillow and get my money back. I wish he had told me before any paperwork or testing that the pillow I wanted isn't in existence, and let me make an educated decision. He's rude, abrupt, and honestly, I will make my purchases online instead of at the store. Do yourself a favor and buy the bed from a different store. Read the fine print. We bought a bed, mattress and frame for $7400. After a couple of weeks, we found out that my GF was allergic to the material that was in the mattress. . We called Customer Service and was told that we would only be reimbursed for the mattress for $3800. We were now stuck with a worthless frame, compressor and remote. The sales staff at the Galleria never informed us about the mattress only refund policy. What a rip off. read more
