Shopped 4 different mattress suppliers in the area. All were similarly priced but we found the service we received from Paul B at the Mayfield Hts. location was exceptional. He asked several questions about our sleep habits, current mattress, budget, etc. He took a few minutes to explain features of various mattresses and then let us test drive. Based on our likes or dislikes about the mattress we just tested he showed us different mattresses. We eventually settled on one, Paul priced it and then we left to do more comparative shopping as Sleep Outfitters was our first stop. As mentioned the other stores were similarly priced & the sales people were fine but we really appreciated Paul's sales style and expertise. Went with my GF to look for a new queen size bed. Their prices were not competitive and unfortunately I cannot say how their selection was because the saleswomen kept diverting us back to the same three or four expensive (over $900) mattresses. I agree with the previous post by Diana M. - salespeople were knowledgeable but pushy and didn't let us look enough on our own. Both sales women were more interested in making a good commission than making satisfied customers. They seemed to be competing for customers as they came in and I overheard them complaining about customers who were taking their time and were actually trying out the mattresses. Overall, the feeling was very unprofessional and used car salesman pushy. Ultimately, we decided to go across the street to Levin Mattress. The tone / character of the sales staff and overall experience there was very different. read more

My experience here was not good at all. The sales person was pretty much unwilling to show us mattresses in our price range and we were told that with our price range we would not be able to get a good mattress. The guys across the street(levin mattress and mattress firm) proved that theory wrong and I'm glad I did not spend my money at mattress warehouse. read more

Prior to coming here I visited Mattress Firm directly across the street (see my Yelp review of that). Upon entering this establishing, you are immediately met with the sense that Mattress Firm is more polished and service orientated. Mattress Firm appeared cleaner/newer and was a more comfortable store. It took a few moments for one of the two salesmen to approach us. He didn't have a welcome spiel, but welcomed us simply and looked expectantly at us for us to share our needs. We shared our needs more clearly here since we had just been to another store and had an idea of what we wanted. The salesman pointed us to various mattresses in the store, but didn't necessarily follow us up to each one. Some people may or may not like this. I was sort of torn in my opinion. On one hand it allows for conversation without being heard by the salesman, on the other hand it could come off as lazy/uninterested. The store was not as well labeled as Mattress Firm, and a salesman's help or close up reading of the tags was required to determine differences in the beds. Ultimately, our purchase was made here as the same bed more or less was $200 cheaper. Other price differences from Mattress Firm include free delivery compared to $59; delivery is Wednesday through Monday and can be next day. This place however charges $20 for old mattress removal compared to it being free across the street. When it comes to things that matter most - the mattress and price - this place wins. If you want your brief stay in the mattress store to be more orderly and cushy, head north to Mattress Firm. On the day of delivery the men were professional and took off their shoes. read more

Worst shopping experience we've ever had. The salesperson - older lady that called herself a "sleep expert" - was insanely pushy and wouldn't leave us alone for a second. She quickly went from pushy to downright rude. When we said we wanted to go to lunch and think it over her response was "you're not done!" She just completely ignored the fact that we wanted to leave and kept pushing us to different beds. She kept insulting the way we were testing the beds, scoffing at our comments, and on and on. We actually had to tell her she was being insulting after about 30 minutes of this and walked out. There are 3 other mattress places across the street - don't bother with this one. We got friendly service and a better deal at Mattress Firm. read more

I was disappointed with the wait time for my new mattress. I waited a one week and half for it. Then when the mattress come they don't take the old one. Which I was told they would. Called the store back . They said it wasn't on my invoice and the drivers had a right not to take it. The driver's told me they would take it if it was on my invoice. This was an awful experience. Little to say back not going back. There close in my neighborhood. I would rather take the drive elsewhere. read more

The hubby and I stopped in here to test some mattresses and it was ok. Our salesperson was very knowledgeable but she didn't let us shop on our own enough. And she was clearly pointing us to the priciest mattresses (duh) instead of what might really work for us. We need to go back and make our final selection. My husband and I went in to matress warehouse after having done the research, and basically knew what we wanted. We were looking for a temperpedic cloud, but had a few questions. We asked those and they were answered in a professional manner. There was no pressure from the sales person at all. In fact, when we inquired about a more expensive cooling feature, we were told that it really wasn't necessary with the new technology. In no way did we get the "pressure sale". ***Do NOT buy outlet from Mattress Warehouse*** I went to purchase a king mattress, and I decided to go with a split mattress. The one I wanted was higher than I wanted to spend, so I started to look at other ones. The salesman (who was very nice and helpful) suggested that they have the same mattresses at a fraction of the price through their outlet. He said that those are the mattresses that are returned after a customer decides they don't like the feel of them within 6 months. He said that they are still in the original plastic and then cleaned and sterilized upon returning. He said they are never removed from the plastic while in the other customers' homes, otherwise they would not take them back. Sounded like a good idea to me, so I purchased my mattresses. After the very nice delivery men set up my mattresses and left, I entered the bedroom to discover a very unpleasant smell - it was like a mixture of body odor and cigarette smoke. It was horrible. Additionally, there was a red stain on one of the mattresses and hair. I immediately went to the store with photographs. I was told that they could only replace the one with the stain, but the other would not be able to be replaced because the smells would not last forever. It is now over one month later, and it still smells like cigarette smells despite multiple applications of Lysol Fabric Refresher. I can't afford to replace it at this time, but as soon as I can, that second mattress will be replaced. The smell is very annoying and I feel I was misled. Obviously the plastic did not remain on those beds the entire time before they were returned if there are stains on them. Very disgusted at this purchase. I would like to give one star, but I am giving 2 because the salesperson was very nice (it isn't his fault the mattresses from the warehouse were disgusting) and he really tried to work with me. I'll be shopping for a new mattress set shortly and will not consider Mattress Warehouse. I purchased a Sterns and Foster King set from these folks many years ago. Within 6 months one side of the mattress popped and there is an indentation. I called them for service. They told me to call Stearns and Foster. Sterns and Foster said they needed the Mattress tag. Mattress warehouse took that when they delivered the mattress. I personally stopped at the store and was told I was out of luck. So for years I have been using a defective product that was not supported. I will not purchase from them again. I'll go to a big box store where I will get support. read more

We bought a mattress August 13, 2014 and by DAY 28 it had over a 3 inch dent in the middle where my 9 YEAR OLD sleeps. I have been trying since Sept. 17, 2014 to get someone to rectify this problem with a new mattress or a refund. To no avail. Customer Service is horrid! And it's not because they are too busy taking care of other customers. The store is always empty every time I enter & it's becoming alarming clear as to the reason why. Beware buyers!!! Incompetent is not even a strong enough word! I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again. I am trying to figure out if they are incompetent, unethical, or just don't care about their customers once they get your hard earned money. Don't waste your time or your money. You will not be well taken care of in the long run. Most inefficient company I have ever dealt with. They even had someone scheduled to come pick up our faulty mattress WITHOUT a replacement OR a refund OR discussing this with us.
