I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. Kevin, from Skelton, arrived on time and performed his diagnostics. I expected it to be bad and I wasn't disappointed (pun intended). After running his tests, we obviously needed a new air handler. We "sealed the deal " on Friday to install a new attic unit air handler with heating coil backup, and the new unit was installed on Tuesday. The two installers were on time and I wouldn't have known they were there except for an occasional thump in the attic. There was no trace left of their work as they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Use this company!! 10 year parts with two years labor warranty. Great job Skelton!

He quoted $10,000 and initially I did not think we could afford to do the work but I contacted our insurance and found the damage was covered. When I went back to Skeltons I was told they did not have enough help to do the work and I needed to go to another company. Being dumped after being a customer for 3 years was not good business practice. We always paid in full and had good relations with the staff and techs so no problems. So I am out $89 for nothing. We went with Sleeping Giant to do the work. I would not recommend Skeltons!

He said they were swamped with contractors and when would be a good time tomorrow to come out. I explained to him as I did to the lady last week that my husband and I were taking off work today for estimates and we had to work tomorrow that I needed today, he asks me what we were looking at doing and I told him the replacement of a unit and new duct work run to an addition. He proceeds to tell me they would not be the cheapest in talladega county because they used Trane units and they did excellent work. Basically saying to me you can't afford me and I'm not wasting my time coming out for an estimate of your price shopping. He had no idea who I was or what I can afford. That's no way to run a business!!! Smart consumers shop around and weigh their options and don't jump on the first thing. I was not only insulted but wasted time when I could have contacted another company last week to come in his place. I would not recommend his company to anyone.
