Sleepy Hollow Delly has been around since the late '50s, this family -owned and -operated deli is known for their famous potato salad. Their extensive menu also offers breakfast items, soups, lettuce bowls, hoagies, grinders, chicken sandwiches, sides (such as buffalo chicken tenders, onion rings, etc.), and other homemade salads (such as coleslaw, macaroni, broccoli, pasta, etc.). We group of us came here for a later lunch, and we ordered: +Mozzarella Stix - came with 5 pieces with a side of marinara sauce; these were larger in size, and the kids enjoyed it +Grilled Cheese with Tomato & Bacon - this was enjoyed and it was stated that the bread and the combination of the tomato and the bacon were delicious +a Turkey Club Hoagie without bacon - super stacked and fresh, this was tasty and a great hoagie +Hot Roast Beef with a side of au jus and horseradish - definitely better with a side of au jus to make it more 'wet' +a pound of Potato Salad - these are housemade often, and these were literally being ordered non-stop; make sure you chill it before eating as it makes a huge difference! It was creamy and had a nice little tang to it Service was friendly, and there were a handful of tables where you can dine-in and enjoy your orders. Excellent chef lettuce bowl. Ordered potato salad and it is awesome. The lettuce bowl was excellent also. Staff so friendly and polite. The young man behind counter addressed me as Miss. I loved that ma'am sounds so old. Will definitely be back to try other items and more potato salad. read more

Well, as soon as I saw this place, I knew I would have to stop in there soon to try their "famous" potato salad. After seeing rave review after rave review on the Delco Restaurant Review Facebook page, and being a potato salad aficionado, I was so happy to stumble upon it in my travels. I have to say, the potato salad did live up to the hype!!! They use the right potatoes (the waxy ones, not the russets) which are great for potato salad. No eggs, but I really didn't miss them. Other than that, probably just the basics - some mayo, onion, celery, and celery seed. I hear their chicken salad is really good too but I didn't pick any up on this trip. Next time! read more

Good day to be the cheesesteak guy. Great little place. Unfortunately the cheesesteak was the weak link. Great family run business with Grandma and dad pics on the wall. They support other local business' ie. Fireman donuts. which were good and made by a fireman. Lettuce and Tomato may have ruined this cheesesteak. The meat needed to be on this big bready roll and not on top of the lettuce and Tomato. Overall it was a great experience. read more

Deli meats such as Turkey and roast beef had a bitter taste. Potato salad tasted old and bland! Cannot believe the guarantee promise I read inside about their famous potato salad. Stale bread too and the only thing I liked was the pickle. Tablets making noises and an owner lady appears to yell at her employees in front of the customers all because the lady in front of me wanted to pay for her Kaiser rolls with a card instead of cash. They charge a lousy 4 percent charge with all cards. I don't know how this place exits! Never again. Go to Jems deli up the road. read more

Grotty digs and no A/C, but even so, friendly staff and a family-run jawn. An extensive menu of wraps, salads, hoagies, steaks and fried goodies. The food itself was just OK. I had a wrap and the bacon tasted a wee bit sour. (Odd) Plus it was drowning in ranch dressing. Next time (if there is a next time) I will get less dressing or ask for it on the side. One of these days I had to try this place. I love these kind of places. They remind me of the old Trio's Cold Cuts in Clifton Heights that my family frequented religiously when I was a kid. Opportunity presented itself this past weekend. I judge a lot of deli places based on how well they make a basic sandwich. My benchmark is the good ol Turkey Special with rye bread, Russian dressing, and cole slaw. I tried this with a side of the famous potato salad and an ice cold beer. Now, they use the deli sliced turkey for this sandwich, not sliced turkey from the bone. I suppose I can't hold this against a local place like this. It's not like they can roast turkeys every day. But the bread was soft, the cole slaw was fresh, and I polished it off. But here's where they won the 4th star. That potato salad... It's legit! In an area like Delco where everyone's grandmother has a potato salad recipe, you have to be strong when you claim to be a potato salad master. It was a fine lunch. read more

I always drive by, today I decided to stop in. Typical deli with an assortment of hot and cold sandwiches. They serve breakfast all day. Countertop seating with 4 booths. Take out Beer available. I want to write this review because of the fact that I really like this Delly because it is a local known business! It is a bit expensive, the problem with this establishment is it is not consistent I love the potato salad when it is on point!Over the past few years I have had to go back and return my salad due to it being sour. I will say when I go back they do not give me a hard time exchanging. I really absolutely love the macaroni salad also, I went yesterday to pick up potato salad and cole slaw for Memorial Day and again NO FLAVOR I guess it was not a good batch but it was really expensive. Broccoli bites and other similar frozen then fried US Foods/Sysco appetizers averaged 5.99 plus-waaaaay overpriced, IMO. I'm always on a search for a great hoagie, and this place made its way onto my list of places to try. I ordered an Italian hoagie with oil, vinegar, and hot peppers on the side. The hoagie was good and would satisfy anyone. The LTO is just as important as the meat that goes on it, and it was as fresh as you'd expect. Now on to the potato salad. I usually pass on anyplace touting the "Word Famous" anything... I found myself ordering the potato salad anyway while waiting on my sandwich. I wound up enjoying this more than what I originally came in for. It was simple, yet flavorful. Tasted like there was a little sour cream in it along with celery seed. I'm new in town & this is quickly becoming one of my favorote delis in the area. I can't vouch for anything other than the Italian grinder & potato salad. There is a small lot behind w/ about 4 spaces and some people park on the side. The potato salad really is that good. Most people order out but I usually dine in & they will bring your food to the booth for you. Best potato salad on the planet!!! I don't know what the secret is but this potato salad is to die for! Hardy sandwiches, great service! They have a grill so you can get a cheese steak or hamburger. This place never let me down, was a 4 star. It seems over the last few years they have been on a steady decline in my opinion... amongst others. Customer service is now mediocre at best and value seems to be disappointing. Don't get me wrong, taste is always great, I just feel that I can get a lot more for my money. If I'm paying almost $8 for a sandwich, I expect it to be a good size, not something that I would have to eat 2 of (and I'm not a big guy).Hence my pictures of my grilled Reuben wrap... total let down.
