Civera's is one of my go to spots for food from work and sometimes from home. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing, store cooked turkey is so great too and their hot toast beef sandwich.I love their macaroni salad, tuna and chicken salad as well as the entree salads offered on their menu. Mike, Britney, Rich and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful. They have some tables if you choose to eat there and it is always clean and excellent take out service. For those who like beers seems like they have a great selection not something I personally indulge in. They sell lottery tickets and have some great desserts. Friends have had party trays they make and they are always delicious. So it has been on the radar. Saturday was the day I needed something good and fresh and fast. I just moved to the area and this is walking distance from me and allí can say is Praise God!!! I'm originally from the east coast but just moved back from LA, and they don't do deli's like the east. This establishment is a premier deli. From sandwiches made to order to food you can take home and heat to catering and everything in between! They even have wine, beer, and others too! Ordered here a few weeks back for the first time. I'm not sure why I waited. Terrific appetizers, especially the fries. Loved the pork sandwiches. I also tried the eggplant parm, also very good. I love this Deli and have a deep fondness for this Cheesesteak. The place was big, clean and had everything including beer. The meat was chopped and very good but it was a thicker slice. It took a little getting use to. Plenty of extras (mushrooms, fried onions, LT) and I could tell everything was fresh and quality. $8.73 for the CS, you know I loved that!! My go to is a corned beef special and it honestly is so perfect it has ruined other corned beef specials for me...onion rings are a great size and the batter is a 10/10. Somewhere around very good and delightful. Yes. That sounds right. All of the ingredients (turkey, american, lettuce, tomato, onion) were super fresh and tasty. The bread was not overly chewy or hard by any means, it was a great consistency. The turkey was outstanding. I got it with oil, and it probably could have used a touch more, was a little dry-ish for my taste (some bites more than others), but that is more of a personal choice. Today was my very first time trying Civera's. I got the patty melt and French fries with the cheese sauce. I'll admit that I was a little disappointed on how the cashier was towards me. I got the feeling that she could've cared less if I was there or not. I kind of felt like I was inconveniencing her by being there. The sandwich that I got was pretty good. I kind of wished that the bread was a little more toasty and that there was a little more cheese on it. Both are personal preferences. The French fries were good and it was a very generous portion. I actually intended to go to Pagano's for lunch, but it was further than I expected and in fact closed on Mondays, so I settled for a deli I knew nearly nothing about, Civera's. It was bustling, which I love. The menu is on three big flat screens, which change every few seconds, so I had some difficult viewing the items and picking. I eventually settled on an "Old Style" Italian hoagie--aged provolone, prosciutto, cappicola, and hot ham, with oil, balsamic, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. A full, delicious hoagie with some tug, but not too tough. Lovely, really. It was busy and I waited a while, so while I did, I got to browse the surprisingly impressive beer selection--rare domestics and some great imports too. Yes - the food is fine, but the service is terrible. I ordered through Door Dash and did not receive my food (I'm a mile away). I called the restaurant and the man that answered very rudely told me, "I have no control over Door Dash. We only had one order from Door Dash." He didn't even ask for my name or the order number. I contacted Door Dash and this was not true. I now have no food for lunch and will have to teach the rest of the day without food. I will NEVER order from this place again. The level of disrespect is unacceptable. Being rude to the teachers that help support your business each day is probably not the wisest thing. read more

I've eaten at Civera's plenty of times and some of these other reviews are insanely nitpicky. Civera's is without a doubt one of the best chicken cutlet sandwiches in the Philly area. Deli delicious! I had the roast beef and cheese sub-large. The roast beef was slow roasted high quality meat. The pro alone cheese complimented the beef. But wait there was au jus sauce or "gravy" as listed on the menu for dipping and also on sub. It melted in my mouth but had plenty of body being 2-3 inches thick. Nantucket nectarines mango orange helped wash it down along with s side of freshly made onion rings. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana sub - large. She only ate half of it and said it was great, but a lot. She also had onion rings and brought them home too. In addition to bottle sodas, teas, and other beverages like Nantucket nectar they had bottled beer and wine. Hundreds of choices of beer. And beer to go singles, sixers and cases. Simple sub shop, with your typical sandwich and pizza options. I got the Italian grilled chicken sandwich because broccoli rabe but unfortunately the star of the show let me down. I'm not sure if they don't boil the rabe before cooking it or what, but it was very chewy and stringy. Something that could easily be fixed given a little more time. The provolone, however, was sharp and delicious. The chicken breast was also very flavorful. Their fries are phenomenal though I don't eat fries often, and I'm picky with what I like, but they were delicious and I highly recommend. Their french fries are very good and don't taste like generic deli french fries.
