    Raw chicken cutlet

Unfortunately, I had a really disappointing experience. I received chicken cutlets that were raw. When I called to let them know, there was no apology and no acknowledgment of how serious that is from a food-safety standpoint. I explained that I wasn't able to come back in to exchange them, and the response I received was simply to "cook them in the oven." There was no offer of a refund or replacement, and again, no apology. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them matters. This was handled poorly and left me feeling dismissed and concerned.

Different cheesesteak #997 in the last four years. Guest Eater Amigo Dan. We took our cheesesteak to Locust Lane Brewing in Malvern. This cheesesteak was a grill person's love away from being a very good cheesesteak. And a great roll. And more cheese. On 2nd thought, we liked the meat, mushrooms and onions. They did need to spend more time on the grill together and get mixed together but they were good. The roll was substandard for Luigi and Giovanni's. That is more a nod to Luigi and Giovanni's awesomeness than a slight of the roll. Luigi and Giovanni's is awesome. When you go, start on the right side. We took our cheesesteak to Locust Lane Brewing. We like Locust Lane. Nice beer selection. They had a wood burning oven pizza truck. We liked the pizza.

I go about once every couple months, maybe 4-6 times per year. Parking is easy. The employees are kind and welcoming, and the inside is not dirty. We frequently buy food from the deli area. The variety is always different, and overall, decent in taste. The tilapia and salmon is a personal favorite; I also like the meatballs, asparagus, and spaghetti with garlic. They have pre-made salad, cheeses, meats, etc. In the back is an expert butcher, and off to the left side is a hot food area. The main sticking point, however, is the price. The prices could be lower, as I don't notice a significant difference in taste or overall quality to warrant such a high price. And a couple of times, the place is a hit or miss. For example, the pulled pork sandwich on the weekend (outside) is great, but when I order from inside, the bread feels like a wet sponge, and the preparer does not wear gloves. Like, what the hell? I still plan to go every couple of months.

Once upon a time not so long ago Luigi & Giovanni's used to cater the Nova B-ball games and always had a killer spread. Now Nova is affiliated with Aramark and sells beer but lost the good food connect. Anyhow, you know how it goes - Covid and all - but L&G still exists and has the best outdoor hot buffet going. Chicken parm, sausage and pepper, two styles of wings et al plus all that's inside... Luigi & Giovanni's gets extra special consideration cause they are open early.

I'm looking at the video of our cheesesteak (?). I don't know if that is how they make their cheesesteaks or if it is a panini or calzone. I do see a cheesesteak on the online menu. No cheesesteak paninis or calzones on the menu. Maybe that is just how they make their cheesesteak. Either way, we liked our visit to Alfredo's. The bartender was patient (Amigo Dan asks a lot of questions) and helpful. It is a nice big place. It was a nice tasting cheesesteak. We would have liked better cheese distribution. It comes with very good french fries and sriracha ketchup. I would have liked a touch more sriracha in the sriracha ketchup.

Mom got the eggplant sandwich which she loved, and my brother calamari followed by their cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was good, but it's served on what appears to be their homemade panini type bread, it looks nothing like your typical cheesesteak, but he enjoyed it thoroughly. Seems like you need to ask for bread now, whereas some places put it out for you as soon as you sit down. But they do bake it there and it was delicious. Some interesting drinks on their bar specials, but we stuck to non alcoholic beverages this visit.

The interior is cozy and welcoming with neutral colored furniture and ambient lighting. When we walked in, we were greeted by what appeared to be the owner who checked us in for our reservation. The tables are a little close together so I can see how it might get cramped if every table is occupied. This wasn't the case tonight, though, as there were empty tables scattered throughout. Plenty of parking in the lot, too. Our waiter took great care of us from start to finish. Super attentive and friendly staff from what I heard and saw at other tables. One thing I would suggest is providing bread for the table. That would've made it a 5 star rating for me. We chose the Mozzarella Caprese as our appetizer and the mozzarella was fresh and firm. I added some salt and pepper to taste. My entree was the gnocchi truffle. The sauce was extremely flavorful and the gnocchi was al dente. The truffle pieces and cheese on top made it a 10/10 meal. We skipped dessert, but each enjoyed an espresso. Everything we ordered got to our table relatively quick, which was unexpected for a "holiday" that is typically busy. They seemed to have their operation under control, and that's awesome. A big thumbs up to Fellini Cafe. I'm looking forward to dining here again!

The only thing I want to call out to the business is the lighting .... It is so so bright inside. We came at night and the place was lit up like a summers day. Why? It was super unwelcoming and almost awkward. It felt like I was in a doctors office literally. A very cool bright light. I suggest dimming them and toning down the lighting to give a warm cozy ambiance.

So their Cacio E Pepe was a natural choice for me. Gnocchi is not typically my first pasta choice of texture but Luca's makes the gnocchi and sauce blend so well together . I feel like I would love this sauce on fettuccine and I would like that more but I also think it complements the texture of the gnocchi better too. The shrimp accentuates this dish . So hopefully you like shrimp. They peeled off the shells completely which was nice. The bread had tasty herbs and the salad was refreshing. The sfogliatella was crunchy with tasty custard but the winning dessert has to be the pistachio ricotta cake.. The flavor of the cake is a fun experience in one's mouth and I didn't feel it was too cheesy or too sweet etc. The ingredients are just balanced so well together for a "food harmony." Anyone reading this and seeing that made up term wants to make you give this place a try now! Everything tastes like it was made from scratch. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. So grab your friends or family, some adult beverages and have a wonderful dining experience. Burrata we will be back and sooner then later.
