Most of the trees at the farm where on top of each other and it seemed like the trees were not well cared for. The tree only lasted two weeks and all the needles fell off the tree long before Christmas. Our friend that told us about this place also had the same issue with the tree they bought here. Needless to say, we had to buy a new tree from another farm. I tried to buy local in RI but from now on I plan to go to the farm I have been going to for years in CT.

Dave ( the boss/owner?) was great most of the way through, but when he left on vacation, he didn't process a payment ( I was paying early to help him out), and then got angry at me when I was trying to get in touch with someone else (who didn't know what was going on) to repay in the days before the wedding (when I was managing 1000 things). That is one example of the communication being not always the best, in other words, but Todd and Lori were very kind and they helped us out so much at the end of the reception with breakdown. Also, their policy of cleaning the barn the day of the event, such that we could not get in to decorate early, made things hard...and the hovering of the staff, and getting angry and people making mistakes about where the bar was, etc, was not great. Overall, a good experience...you just need to super-communicate and be ready to deal with some rather rustic people.

Although about three years ago Al-Jac's moved to a new location nearby - across the Woonasquatucket River, at the corner of Kinsley and Acorn - you can still expect fanciful formations of florid firs, tip-top tree talk, a complimentary chainsaw cut, and a happy heave-ho with a twine-tie-down atop your econo-sized vehicle. Ok, atop MY econo-sized vehicle. Add a handmade wreath to that 8.5 footer and walk away for under $50 (with tip). I would like to think that papa would be proud. (REMINDER THAT THEY'RE CASH ONLY, and no ATM onsite... so bring it with you! ) If you need the guys on the farm to cut down your tree and load it in/on your car, be prepared to wait your turn during busy November/December weekends... but they have always been friendly, super helpful, and very quick when they get to you!

Called to see if they could do something about the size of the logs and never got a call back.
