    XL 1/2 pep pie
    Stephanie C.

I've ordered from here a few times now and all in all, it's pretty good. Coming from NJ where NY style pizza is abundant, I am a bit particular about my pizza and I'll say that Slice House comes close to scratching that itch. The ingredients are solid and they have a ton of options (so much it's a bit overwhelming), but I prefer my pizza slightly less doughy & thinner. The crust is decent, but wish it had a little more flavor. The sweet & spicy honey sausage is absolutely delicious and I'd come back just for that (10/10). They also make a good Caesar salad. I just can't reason with the price. Most recently we ordered a plain cheese medium pizza for $25 and it was TINY. I'm talking personal pan small so that was disappointing because it wasn't enough food for 2 people. We've gotten their XL pies which are HUGE! Can we meet in the middle?? And why on earth is pizza so dang expensive these days? It used to be a quick, affordable meal but now it costs more than it's worth. Overall, Slice House is a good addition to the Boulder food scene (especially to grab a slice and not a whole pie), however there are some better pizza options in the area.

To my surprise, I saw one of my fav pizza spots in Boulder. I wanted to see if it compares what I'm used to in the Bay and it sure was. Huge slice, hot and crispy! Next time more honey!

3/6 Visited again within a week. All the pizzas plus spumoni.

They offer New York, Sicilian, Detroit, and Grandma style slices, so it feels like a mini pizza tour.

However, there were people sitting on their outside patio. Hardy folks, I guess! My friend was nursing a sore tummy, so she just had some grilled veggies and mashed potatoes. She loves everything she's had here. It was my first time. I ordered the chicken bowl with yakisoba noodles. It was lukewarm, but that's fine for me. I think they must have microwaved it because it was steamier as you ate down the bowl. The veggies were crisp, the noodles perfect, the chicken was tender. It was spiced at what I'd call a medium level, and quite yummy. My friend then ordered their vegan chocolate pudding, which we shared. Yummy and light. My one big criticism is that they charge $4 for iced tea. I questioned it and the cashier was kind of snippy about it, but the customer behind me approached after I dispensed my tea and said she agreed it's too expensive. The meal was appropriately priced and there is plenty of food, but the drinks? C'mon. It's worth maybe $2.50. They really should reevaluate that. It's the main reason that I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5. The other people who work there were nice and helpful. I didn't grab a fork but the server who brought my bowl cheerfully went and got me a fork and napkin. Very nice. It's obviously popular, it filled up as we sat, with quite a variety of people, from babies to seniors. I might go back, but perhaps next time I'll just get water. I hope they don't charge for that!

All good. I loved having a view of the bustle of the restaurant and especially all the parties celebrating birthdays. A few employees would gather at the table while delivering dessert and sing happy birthday. A few patrons like me joined them in the serenade. Such a warm, family vibe. A lovely gentleman sat in the open bar stool next to me. Turns out he's a regular and longtime Boulder resident. He gave me some menu tips. Plus it was fun to learn about him and his business. I had the red wine on tap. Delicious and $9. Two favorite qualities in wine. I got the bolognese with linguini. It was beyond fabulous. Insert chef's kiss!
