The BBQ is good and so are the sides, but I come here for the wings that you can't get anywhere else. They are smoked and the 10-piece plate comes with 2 pieces of garlic bread and two sides. It is healthy (or un-, depending on your point of view) amount of food. It's a local place and very casual. Potato salad has a bit of mustard in it that made it unique. Cole slaw is cream-based and reminds me a little of KFC's slaw. Check it out, you won't be disappointed! read more

Me and the wife went here for a day we decided to spend together and it was just great. We both ordered the 3 meats sample platter. I had brisket, smoked Turkey, and smoked wings. I have grew up on slick pig & have absolutely no regrets! The food is AMAZING & the staff is even better! I took my daughter here for the first time when she was 5 and since then she's chose to go back each year for her "birthday food" and anytime we eat out in murfreesboro. First off, let me say how much I wanted to love this place. I have a special love affair with BBQ, and I'm always looking for the best local joint. I ordered 5 smoked wings, a half rib plate, baked beans, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni reminded me of Stauffer's...not a good impression. The baked beans were a little sweet, but fairly flavorful. The coleslaw had to much sugar and not enough acid, and this is coming from a woman who loves sweet mayonnaise style slaw. The wings were cold, and had clearly been sitting a while. The ribs are fall off the bone, but not in a good way, in an over cooked and dry kind of way. Sauce is necessary for these ribs as there's little flavor. This place has a friendly staff and great prices. I just wish the food matched up to expectations. read more

Enjoyed a tasty lunch with a friend at the world famous Slick Pig. The restaurant is rustic and very clean. You order at the counter and serve yourself drink. The staff brings your food to you. I had the wings and they were delicious. My friend enjoyed the barbecue sandwich and fries- he enjoyed it. The food was all hot and arrived within 5-7 minutes from the time we ordered.
