Networking fun! Plenty of parking. They have an arcade, rock wall, and go karts!! Next door is a laser tag arena too. We had small bites to snack on and mingle then some karting. It was fun, they don't really explain what to do other than don't bump. They also can stop the cars at anytime. It was a good time! Came in second. A nice arena to do go karting with some friends, the track is nothing special and has some sharp turns. They don't have any seating etc inside the arena, everything is outside , you also can't hang your coats anywhere but there Is a couple of lockers inside. They try to keep things clean with head sock and sanitizing of helmets but they don't seem to actually sanitize the helmets at all. The process of starting/ finishing race is confusing because they don't give you any guidance but still fun overall. read more

Not Covid safe! Place is run by a bunch of kids who don't wear their masks correctly and don't clean properly. Carts were not being cleaned after each use. All hand sanitizer stations were empty. Place was packed and no one was monitoring capacity. The "pit stop" was manned by two kids who were slow and didn't know what they were doing. Tables were not being wiped down or sanitized after use. Waste of money and felt very unsafe. read more

Thought the place was well managed & was a lot of good fun, they even let you use your own GoPro which is cool. I did 5 races, first 4 were pretty good fun, and then the last one was a little disappointing because they put a bunch of slow people in that group and you couldn't put a lap together because of all the traffic. I'd still recommend this place for a few hours of fun! It was something like $40 for about 50 minutes of racing which isn't bad at all! read more

No one here has any clue of how to do their job. I gave up trying to jump on a trampoline because I was sent back and forth from the counter to a kiosk by some seriously undertrained staff. I went to get a beer and sat for fifteen minutes before any bartender attended to me at a relatively quiet bar. There is nothing worse than going out somewhere and having to encounter an unhappy and ignorant staff. It makes me feel like I am putting them out. Never coming back. read more

Went here for the unlimited racing deal on Mondays thru Thursdays, and out of any track I've ever been to, I've never received so much racing for my money. Track is technical and challenging, karts are well maintained, and track officials were friendly and efficient, as well as doing a commendable job handling another very rude and angry customer who came in with the clear intent to stir up trouble. Only issue is the power will usually fall off towards the end of races as the batteries begin to die, but otherwise this is the top go kart track I've been to. read more

The employees working in the track area have been nothing but helpful each visit. Josh takes his job seriously and even asked for my opinion about how some of the karts were performing. Went with my son and had a terrible time. They let the employees ride in races I paid to race in. This employee held back at the start of the race and then drove through everyone hooting and hollering while doing it. He was obviously set at a higher speed then anyone else. He was bumping people into the walls. He hit both me and my son. Then the race was suddenly shut down in an unusual fashion and the kid was screaming put me at 14 and let me race some more, like 15 times. It was an absolute spectacle. I asked the manager who he was and he said he works here. He was one of the workers in the race cart area. After explaining what happened he apologized but it was too little and too late. It was ridiculous. I will not spend my money there anymore so the employees can bump into me and act like an idiot. read more

Took my son and his two friends to ride Karts for his birthday. I rode the adult karts the kid's rode the juniors. The karts were fast although the track made it hard to pass slower karts. The heats were a good length, but if I can give you any advice it would be to make sure to get in a heat with like skill level. If you don't, you will get frustrated try to pass karts those who are not as fast. I rated this a two star for two reasons. 1) I thought it was a bit expensive. Adult karts are $17.95 per ride. Juniors are $12.95 per ride. This is after a $5 license fee. 2) The customer service is terrible. I asked to split a three ride package, so my son could ride the drift track - I would take the other two rides on racing track. The girl at the front desk told me I would need to speak with the manager. When she radioed the manager he asked "if it was important". He came to the front I stated my request he said they don't do that. I asked for an exception, explaining that we we going to spend $250 in karts and food over the next few hours. He said it was out of his hands - no other reason was given. My request would have amounted to a $8 discount. In the end I spent less than I would have because I bought fewer rides and we went elsewhere for food, due to the experience. This was the second such encounters I had with this business- the first was when trying to by a gift certificate when they first opened. They were not prepared- I asked for paper certificate, they told me that it was not possible. I asked if I could get one from the Works- they told me they were not affiliated. Now there website says otherwise. I may or may not return. If I do, I will look forward to the cool racing, but will need to tolerate the disorganization and terrible customer service. Oh and they can order you a pizza at the ice cream parlor, but they are not supposed to tell you that! read more

First off, I and my 13-year-old daughter have had the benefit of running the same go-karts as Slick Willies at another facility closer to where we live, so we are no strangers to the karts. We went today for the unlimited racing. This was my third time there, and my daugher's first. For the price, it is the best deal around if you get there close to 4:00. We ended up running 11 races each, which equates to a little more than $5 per race. This deal was worth the 90 minute drive to Wyomissing. The building is also cool looking, as well. The karts, by in large, were left to be desired. On 4 of the 11 races I ran, the batteries didn't hold the charge. About halfway through, there was a noticable decrease in speed, which was a disappointment. This was not a fluke. I had a similar experience the last time I was there (also on an unlimited night where I ran 11 races).. By contrast, we've been going to our "home" facility for about 8 months, and only had a non-charged or bad battery a couple of times. Like one of the previous reviewers commented, I did see that the karts were not always charged between heats. The other issue I noticed was that the staff was not very attentive during the races. Now, both I and my daughter like to go fast, and push the karts to the limit. We also do our best to respect the people new to the karts and pass when it is safe to do so. Other people tonight did not appear to have the same respect, which created some potentially dangerous situations. Only three of the races I was in had an attendant on the track to warn the slower drivers someone faster was approaching, and advise to let the faster kart pass. This is not good when people with experience in the karts are mixed in with people new to the karts. This is also a HUGE difference from our home facility, where an attendant is watching every race, uses flags/signs when needed, and recklessness is not tolerated. We both did have fun, and we did not regret going. We will probably go again at some point when we want to run a different track than our "home" facility. We both, though, prefer our home facility. The attendants at our home facility make the go-karting safer for everyone, which makes it a more fun experience. read more

So the first time we went it was ok. We tried the drift track which is pathetic and impossible to use as the go karts have such a massive delay between hitting the peddle and it responding but if u let go it stops almost immediately. If you do manage to drift the turn, there's not enough room to regain control. The "high speed" track is nothing more than snaking turns, preventing you from really experiencing their "high speed" thrills. The drift tires would be better suited on this track. The second visit is the reason I made an account on here, because it was that bad. We got there and there were two other people in this race with my fiance. They were apparently regulars as they chatted up the employees. The race started and I could tell my kart was far slower than the two regulars and found out later they have governors on the karts. The two regulars going far faster despite having my kart topped out proceeded to lap my fiance and I several times and rammed us out of the way every time. Lost track of how many times I got rammed into a wall. Then in the final lap I heard a change in the sound of my kart and suddenly my kart began to go faster. Only after the other two guys finished their 14 laps. This business has poorly trained employees who are more interested in their friends than their job. I WILL NEVER BE CAUGHT DEAD IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!! IF YOU ENJOY ALMOST FAST OVERPRICED BUMPER CARS THEN BE MY GUEST! read more

I've hit up go-kart places like this before. (Summit Point, WV and AllSports Grand Prix in VA) let me tell you; for the price you pay ($57 for unlimited races M-THU) you can't beat it. Both establishments mentioned were a lot of fun but i paid upwards of $80 and it was only for a few races. I will be making the trip back up to Reading, PA just to visit this establishment. Think of it this way; people will always find a reason to complain (check out a 5 star amazon product and you will get 1 star reviews - i'm convinced that the same has happened here) If you've never been to this place definitely check it out. Don't waste your time with the slick-track (track number 2) i didn't find it as much fun. read more

I could have fallen asleep during the race. I have had a go kart since I was 5 years old. This makes me no expert driver nor does it make me the know it all guru. My old Carter had a 5 HP gas engine, no suspension, no seat belts, or roll cage.it was a two seater with a side skirt bar that when flipped would come over and knock the wind right out of you something awful. (This was bought in the 90s) This old thing was faster than the karts at Willy's Either I just got a bad kart. (which shouldn't be too surprising since I noticed they don't charge in between heats) The darn thing would engage its braks automatically every time I let off the gas. I could not even over take anyone it was super slow. If anything I was closing a gap and then had to slam on my brakes to avoid the jack hole in front of me who spun out. From then on even with my foot completely off the brake not even near it I started losing ground I was n that guys rear about .1 off him, but by the end I was a good +2 away from him. The race seemed to go by very fast as well. This is not my first time in an electric kart. Although I much prefer a closer establishment to me in Jersey. I came to see a show at Building 24. I stayed to try out their karts. I was not impressed at all. Other places have much nicer tighter turns with better maintained karts. On top of that the people there are very Pig headed, like their presence is a gift from god. That they are the best damn racers on this earth. People need to realize that this is not really a competitive professional arena. Its a family fun center with kiddie arcades. The kart in front of me was dead before the race even started at Willy's. I much preferred Speed Raceway, The karts are faster, newer, and better kept. The Helmets are much nicer too. I could barely see at Willy's since the visor was so scratched up. (IDK how this happens when it goes from one person's head to the next and then sits on a shelf in between) While SRW in NJ is more expensive, the cost of me driving out to Willy's far out weighs the benefit. If Willy's is all you have experienced and it is close...sure go for that. If you want a better experience and are not far from Horsham, PA or Cinnaminson, NJ then go to another establishment. I was expecting more from Willy's since they advertise 50MPH karts...I'd be surprised if you ever hit 25. Now at SRW they advertise 45MPH karts. Neither place is honest, but I know you can get way over 25 here, With the battery technology we have today there is no way you could let the carts go that fast and not have to wait a real long time to charge them back up. On top of that the races would be like 4 laps max. The fun is in the instant acceleration and the thrill of the torque. I had no such thrill at willy's At least I got to race for free for my B day month. read more

So Slick Willy's, I heard from a friend it was a pretty decent facility but with my own experience I do not think I would want to go back. I am from York, PA and it takes a little over an hour to drive there. I took a group of 6 friends and we called right before we left to make sure everything was available and we could race the karts that night. And were told by whoever answered the phone that everything was available and that we were good to go race that night. We ended up getting there and were told "sorry, we are booked up for the night. You can buy now and come back again another time." So after WASTING over an hour there and an hour back, I also went through half a tank of gas for nothing. Plus the disappointment from myself and my friends that were along. With that said, if you are expecting to race and have some fun you better get there really early or you're going to end up disappointed. read more

The Karts are awesome, it's one of the few times I've been to a karting track where I was challenged (it was actually pretty far above my skill level from the onset, and I've raced cars in the past). The staff was very friendly and helpful, even letting us know of a deal we were previously unaware of (the labor day 2 races for $20 deal). My only issue, and the only reason I won't give them 5 stars is they need to be more strict with slow drivers. My first race I got stuck behind an extremely slow driver for ~5 laps, while they held out signs telling the driver to let me and the rest of the field past he ignored them. I feel his kart should've been slowed down because of it so I and everyone else could more easily pass. My second race I ended up with people closer to my and my friends skill levels and we had a blast! The only other note I would make is be prepared for longer wait times on the weekends, we waited ~45 minutes for each race, but this wasn't an issue since there's an arcade and restaurant in the same building! Even better to end our night we went over to the nigh club nextdoor after we finished racing and partied the rest of the night (look for my favorable review of the club soon!). All in all I was very happy and am looking forward to my next visit! read more
