Been going here for almost ten years now and after today, it's time we part ways. I've put up with the fact that this place isn't that clean and their beer tastes like the lines are rarely cleaned (for the ten years I've been coming) cause of the free pool! Today, we go in and put on music, which we paid for only for it to be turned down; song was kid cudi. I brought it up to security, then the music just turned off. Then, the next person puts on country and magically the sound comes back. My boyfriend and I are an interracial couple and he is half black; can't help but feel this was the reason. I saw this place when I was eating next-door and just wanted to poke my head in to check it out, It actually looked like a nice place until the rude ass security guard comes running up and wants to see my ID... I said I wasn't staying I was just checking it out real quick, he told me I couldn't even look if I didn't show him my ID wtf lol he was a complete jerk I am obviously Old enough to be in there, over twice the legal drinking age, buttttttt I wasn't staying!! he told me I had to leave if I didn't show my ID, which was in the car. Come here on Sunday for free pool tables. The bouncers are cool during busy nights. The deli/food section is awesome! Love the hot and cold sandwiches. I think they have buy one cold sub get another free during certain hours. Smoking room in the back for those of you who desire to puff puff while drink. As a pool hall itself is great and the full bar until they allowed one person to continually play songs from the jukebox talking about eating a$$, pu**y, and other raunchy songs. The first couple are funny but we checked the queue and they had like 8-10 other songs from this same artist waiting. I'm a regular here. Once or twice a week. Bartenders are hit or miss depending on who you get (most of them are a miss). Strength of the drinks depends on the same. Pool tables and their availability are decent. They have an inside smoking room. The security staff have always been the friendliest staff there. Fights are relatively frequent, but I only see that as "drinks and a show". I'm sure there are two sides of this story, and I'm sure both sides are omitting details, but from the information given so far, it's really disappointing that the owner of this bar would fire his security guard for helping a woman in need. If the owner's PE statements were true, he's an extremely deplorable, horrible man. It'd be hard for a "regular" like me to stop going to this place, but if all of this is true in its entirety, I will never go to this place again. It really sucks that that the rest of the employees' livelihood may be negatively affected by one stupid owner's actions. read more

I don't remember much about the two times i've been here but not because of what you're thinking, but because i've tried to block anything "Norco" out of my mind. This place was pretty pathetic. I go along for the ride, and we needed a night out. It felt like being in a high school party or college house party. It was super awkward. Everyone was dressed in jeans and t-shirts or hoodies, and no one had any style or anything. I could tell that a few of the men had their eyes on me, but my sister had it pegged when she said "no guy in this room has the balls to approach you". It was true... The drinks are served in super manly mugs I don't know why on earth they would give a girl a mug so large. There is a dance section of the bar, that its obvious no one uses ever. The music was very 90's flashback, which was decent... The billiard part is decent, although the tables are so close together. I would never choose to go back here. This place is pretty fun. Free pool and pretty cheap drinks. Every time I've been in here the crowds have varied. Usually its kinda sketchy and a little trashy. They won't be bothered at all by this review because they're dark and seedy and gross and have regulars willing to put up with it, but they should just call it a clubhouse from their friends. They didnt bother to check my white friend. Why put a dance floor in your bar, then cut off and subsequently kick out the first girl who uses it for being "disorderly"? Visited on a Sunday night, Nov 23, 2014. Bouncer was cool, the place was half full when we arrived. Just came by for a quick drink, and the bartenders are as endowed as you see in those pics ;) There's a dance floor in the corner, and it reminded me of a frat party. Brings back memories... It's very loud inside, and a bit difficult to have a conversation, but we made due. There's pool tables in the back/side, and apparently it's free? The security guards lost my friend's ID AND THEN would not accept responsibility for their actions. They continued to defend themselves and tried to blame it on my friend, regardless of the fact that one of them (whoever it was) lost my friend's ID or gave it back to the wrong person. When we said that it was really unprofessional, they said "well thanks for stating the obvious." Well thanks for proving yourselves as even more unprofessional...let us know when you find our friend's ID in your back pocket. Idiots read more

I love this place. That being said, I try to avoid it on a Friday or Saturday night. It just gets too packed and no good if you actually want to play pool. Other than that, the service is great, the bartenders are attentive, good selection of draft beers, decent mix of people which also means you get a variety of good music on the jukebox (I've grown more tolerable of country music because of this place). And the free pool. This place is definitely a good time. Do be wary of the bathrooms. Been here a couple of times and there's still only one stall where the door actually closes and if you're here to play pool, try and snag a table away from the restrooms. read more

It's always hard to review a bar because everyone goes to a bar to get fucked up. I've been to Slicks many times these past few years. i really don't mind this place. it's got decent prices and free pool on certain days as long as you have your ID to let them hold onto it. Not a bad crowd as well. First of all, I'm a punk rock kid so coming to a place like this feels different. This place is definitely a bro bar. That's not bad though. They've evolved past those sniveling high school jerks. I feel at home here, but that's probably because I've spent a good deal of time in Norco. Everyone is pretty much friendly. No matter who you run into, you'll always see a smile, but that could be the alcohol. Security ain't bad, but they suck with faces. On more than one instance they didn't let me back in until I proved to them that they had my ID. Underage kids like to drink too. I like the atmosphere a lot just because most people don't complain. I can put on some awesome metal that most people would hate and nobody will say anything about it. My only warning is when they lower the music. Their loss. I got beer, pool, and friends to make up for that. Slicks isn't great, but it's a good place to stop at when you get off of work. As far as dive bars go, Slicks is the only one in Norco really worth going to without feeling like a sleazebag. 3/5 read more

Only come here with co workers and boyfriend to shoot pool because all of us are pretty competitive! They have a smoking section right next to the pool tables. Favorite part about the bar is that the crowd there willing plays Metallica SOAD and Zeppelin. Not the nicest bar with the nicest people but it's fun to go on a weeknight (Tuesdays/Wednesday) less crowded if you want to just hang out and not get distracted by drunk idiots. read more

It's free to play pool as long as you're drinking(Sun-Thur, Fri-Sat till 7pm), how can you say no?
