Best bar in Norco, not like there is many bars to go to. There is so many beers on tap and prices are decent. Free pool has me always coming, there is about 9 tables. It can get packed during the weekend but I feel that makes it more fun, but if you dont like crowds then come another day. Rated 4 because when its pack it takes a long time to get drinks. First time, last time. I ordered a Guinness on tap, the mug they served it in smelt like a dirty, mildewy sponge and the bartender didn't have a clue as to how to properly pour a Guinness. The crowd sucked, even for a dive bar and the music was super ghetto. I won't be going back. read more

I visited this bar for the 1st time on a Wednesday afternoon, the place is clean with TVs and music. I did not visit the pool table area but it appeared to be clean. As I walked in, the bartender passed in front of me, no "Hi", "Hello", "Welcome", "Be with you in a sec". The seats at the bar were mostly filled with people. Most of the tables were empty. I sat at the bar and the it took over 5 min for the bartender to ask me what I wanted to drink. I got a large beer and it was $8.50. When I left, there wasn't any, "Thanks", "Have a good one", "C-ya"...nothing. I understand I wasn't a "local" or a "regular", but I get a LOT better and friendly service at dumpy dive bars than this. I have been coming to Slick's for 4 years. The bartenders are awesome Janessa, Keyra, Cindy, Katrina, Dolly, they are all amazing. You can't beat free pool when you buy a drink. Not sure on the cheap drinks, I ordered a schooner and was informed it's $11 bucks. I don't drink crap beer and am used to bumping up for good brew, but WTF is this, I was pretty taken aback. Sure you get free pool, but not charging for pool, then charging double at the bar isn't exactly a deal. Probably best for groups if you do pitchers and all want to shoot pool, otherwise I don't see a draw if you're alone or a party of two looking to go hang out. Also found the security at the door to vary bigtime, some friendly and cool, some are bitter asses that act like they hate their life so eff yours too. Steep beer pricing kept me from staying around so, maybe if I'm in a crowd looking for pool I'll be back, otherwise...meh. read more

This bar is great if you're a white regular. Which I'm neither. Not a very welcoming place. Bartender was more interested in her phone than being polite. If you're looking for a Klan Rally this is the spot for you. read more

I go here at least once a week for lunch. The food is actually REALLY good. All of it. The cold subs, the burgers, the wings, chicken strips, I've had it all. The bartender Dolly is super cute and always gets a coke ready for me when she sees me walk in. Great service and great food. I don't really drink there...I did one time on a Saturday after work and the Captin & Coke I had was really good. They have a ton of beers on tap. They have a regular weekday lunchtime crowd. Went there for the first time last night. I thought the beers were a little pricey. I ordered an 805 went to take a drink of the beer and the glass smelled like a a wet/dirty towel. It was disgusting. Took the beer back to the bartender and she exchanged it for us. They need to get a handle on the way their bathrooms smell. i'm a big promoter of neighborhood hole in the walls establishments, but the last shift change on bouncers has left a bad taste in my mouth...and quite irritated. this place usually has a high turnaround on staff and usually they are nice. but the last 2 guys they hired are a bunch of jokers. I had my name on the waiting list for a pool table. as i'm getting by drink from the bar i see that my table is being given to someone else. bouncer1 sees me coming around and tells bouncer2 that that was suppose to be my table. bouncer2 replies "what he don't know won't hurt him", my buddy however was standing right behind them. he over heard them. so i call out the bouncers. they make a lie that those other guys were first on the list. however they just walked in 15 min after us. also there was no list. as the bouncers weren't even keeping tabs. good thing the owner and i are cool with each other and forced them to apologize. Havent been out to Slicks' in a few years and almost didnt go because of the amount of bad reviews! Soo glad we took the chance. Went on a Saturday at 6pm and was happy to find that pool was free since we purchased drinks. Although I was disappointed that the full kitchen wasnt open( the sandwiches are great!), we went ahead and ordered some deep fried bar fare, very resonably priced, and were once again pleasantly surprised. Chickens strips, jalapeno poppers, and fries for 2 people for 12 bucks, no complaints here! Digital jukebox was awesome, you can find anything on there, very entertaining. I am not white nor a regular and I must say that despite other reviews I read I did not feel any awkwardness or mistreatment, bar staff was very attentive and bouncers were super sweet. Business really picks up around 8 so get there early for 1st pick of a table...enjoy! read more

A great go to spot, with great customer service and all of my favorite beers on tap, and plenty more to choose from. The bartenders are always courteous and attentive. Nothing beats free pool, (as long as you keep buying drinks, which is always the case anyway), also at a convenient location with great surrounding restaurants like In N Out. Only rough area is the hygiene regarding the bathrooms. They should be more attentive to the cleanliness and smell. Overall, a good dive bar to chill and drink at. read more

If you're under 22 and over 21, this is your place. Actually there were some older, you know, upper 20's mid 30's but that's about the ceiling for age here. Not that that's bad, just letting you know who you'll be hanging out with! In the back (side?) Pool hall was ok, a decent number of regulation pool tables in good shape, sticks were decent although a lot of people seem to bring their own. The bathrooms back there were, as another reviewer said, pee soaked, but I've been in worse. it was the front part that was odd. A DJ playing some dance, there were maybe 3 people on the dance floor at any given time. Seemed kind of sparse and this was about 11 pm on a Friday night. People kinda drifting in and out of the front door... The draft beer selection is pretty decent, not bad on prices and the bartenders pay attention, won't let you go dry. This is a pretty decent bar, you have a long table with the taps behind it as well as a few round tables scattered around in the main area. In the back, there are a bunch of pool tables as well as a small strobe-lit area for what I'm assuming is for dancing. Beers are around $5 per, and they have a large selection of them on tap. You can play pool as long as you're continuing to order drinks, but they don't really seem to enforce this if you're being reasonable about it. I would actually be more likely to buy more if they didn't have a set rate (you need to buy one drink per person per hour to keep playing, if I remember correctly). read more

I actually really like Slick's, decent priced beer&free pool with a $5 minimum for each person. It's a grungy bar though that could be scrubbed down a bit and there's a foul smell coming from the bathroom area but its still fun to come to on a lazy afternoon. So I came here with some friends after a busy night in Long Beach, it was pretty late and we still wanted to party so we picked this bar. I have to say for a Saturday night it was really empty! This place gets my vote ONLY because the bartenders can make one hell of a drink! I was having a Long Island and it was delish! After tasting my friends' drinks, the Tequila Sunrise was made to perfection, and for the light weight of our group the bartender made a fruity but very tasty drink called Gummy Bears. We ate some yummy appetizers and played pool till early morning. I'd say it's not too shabby, if you're like us who aren't really into the club scene but just want a place to chill. read more
