Great place to hang out. In the summer, the back patio is amazing beautiful and relaxing.

I'm super sad to leave a low review when people have written greats ones for this place. I came today at 12:15 excited to try out the restaurant. I was hoping it would be an amazing hole in the wall in Ravenna. When I came in with my family there was one bartender and two customers at the bar. She seated us and told us when we were ready to come up to the bar to order. We were only given one menu to look at. It was so dark inside that we had to use our phone flashlight to really see the menu. The interior looked like it was designed to only be open in the evening for drinks and not a sit down place. Once we read the menu we all got up and went to the bar to order. This seemed a little silly since it wasn't busy at all. If it were busy, I would understand. She poured us all our drinks and we brought them back to our table. I do have to say they have good deals. Especially their weekly deals on various foods. Once we ordered around 12:30 we sat back down. My fiancée had finished his Coke and I walked back to the bar to ask for a refill....which turns out to be $2 for every refill. $2 a refill is insane when you figure people usually have two or three drinks. Around 1:10 our food finally came out. Their wings were very average and drowning in sauce. The honey BBQ tasted only of BBQ. The sweet potato fries were very underwhelming. I honestly would not come back again. It's worth it to spend more money at Buffalo Wild Wings for better quality. read more

Wow, I have lived in the area for 2 years and did not know this place was hear. I guess a simple google search would have solved the problem. So it is a big bar, one on the inside and one outside on the massive patio. With a world famous growl-we bar. They do drink and food specials. Well what kind of food specials? 10 Cent wings on Wednesday. Just need to buy a beverage with every 10 wings. Won't complain. All of their food looks awesome. I love this place. Wing Wednesday is amazing as well as the wings. Only 10 cents!!!! The patio is awesome and I really can relax there. Great atmosphere and staff. The owner makes you feel welcomed. Yum. Thursday's special is 3 sliders with homemade chips for $2.50. We each got an order so that is 6 sliders between 2 adults. OMG, they were so good!!! We haven't tried the wings but we will soon. The outside patio is superior. It's enormous and can't believe that something so lovely is this close to home. I think we've found our new favorite place! read more

I have only had one mediocre experience here, but only because staff called off and left only one food runner on a VERY busy wing night. All other visits have been friendly and great. Delicious food-all of the weekly specials will surprise you. Big portions for such good deals. Both sangrias are well worth the trip themselves. I can't say enough good things about this place. Very nice place. I was in after they did a renovation in April and it looks great! The menu was the same as before and that food is typical bar food - but good overall. They have 10 Cent Wings on Wednesday which is a great deal and the wings are really good. The outside patio is very large and nice too and has a waterfall in the center. No handicap stalls in bathroom - 2 hour wait for food. When we inquired at bar as to how much longer wait would be and if we could get a refund - they didn't know how long wait would be and they don't give refunds. We were never told about the 2 hour wait when we ordered and would not have stayed if we were. When we asked to take our food home when it was ready the barmaid (melonie) said why the fuck are we still talking about this? She then proceeded to be vulgar and cuss us out without provocation. I told her she was being rude and she then cussed me out again and told us to get the fuck out. I then told her I would be happy to leave because I was upset with the way we were treated and there was no reason to be a such a bitch . I asked to speak to the owner (patsy) and the bar maid (melonie) replied she isn't here get the fuck out. We happily left without our food (over 30.00 worth). The owner has obviously invested herself into her business and a beautiful patio. It is a shame that the bar staff is so uneducated in customer service and common decency to the general public. We won't be back and don't recommend a visit to this this establishment. No stars can be given - don't know how they are still in business. read more

Ten cent wings... hmmm you think... they can't be good... they're ten cents... prepare to be shocked. They are delicious. There are no drink specials on wing nights ( I think there are some exceptions when they have ten cent wings during sporting events) but don't let that scare you off. Their drink prices are on the cheap side of fair. You have to to order a drink ( non alcoholic is ok) for every order of wings. They're bigger than you think though so we usually have 2 beers and an order of wrongs each and we are STUFFED. Be patient with the service on wing night. They sometimes serve well over 100 lbs of wings in a night. It can get a little bit backed up but they're always honest about it, friendly, and busting their butts to get it to you asap. So go enjoy the patio. It's gorgeous! read more

First time and the last time I will go to the Big Dog Saloon. Big bar too bad it was not at all a pleasurable experience. There was only a couple of folks there and after the way that I was treated I understand why its so dead. The owner of the bar was also the bartender. I ordered a couple of drinks and sat alone for I did not go there to socialize. Asked the owner to close my tab and she said my card was declined. I told her not to worry that I would take care of it and my card should process successfully by the time my drink was finished. I ordered two drinks from the beginning since there is a $10 minimum to use a credit card. I maybe took two drinks from my first drink and she slid my second drink to me before I was even half way done. I took no offense I understand that hey maybe she had a bad day. I will say though that my drink tasted like juice and no alcohol and a good drink shouldn't have a strong liquor taste but this was a short glass, either way I still shrugged it off and didn't complain. After a little while had passed I realized there was a couple of guys in the bar that I knew pretty well and had gone to school with. I said hello, chatted a little and was interrupted by the owner/bartender who then rudely interrupted our conversation and appeared angry and questioned the gentlemen in a defensive tone who I was and how do they know me. I do not know this woman and this was my first time meeting her so I found that odd but brushed it off because she was obviously drunk. She walked away behind the bar and one of the gentlemen who I knew gave me a buck for the juke box so I went to play a song. I was in front of the juke box and she came out from behind the bar screaming calling me a bitch and she thought I had no money and how the hell did I get money to play music and couldnt pay my tab. I was so taken by her behavior and especially from a business owner but even then I stayed calm for I didn't need to respond to her behavior she made an ass out of herself. I asserted myself and assured her that my 10 dollar tab would get paid, and insisted she run my card again. After I continuously had to repeat to her to run my card so I can leave because she took her time as though she wanted to hold me up so she could yell at me if front of her couple customers she finally ran my card and this time it was successful. After she talked to me like a dog and I then laughed and said well I guess Im not a broke bitc* after all since that is what she referred to me as. Then I calmly told her that I was appalled by her behavior and lack of professionalism and that I would never return. I brought to her attention that based on her attitude I then understood why her bar was so empty and therefore it shouldn't matter if I write a review. I normally would not take the time out of my day to write a review as a matter of fact this is my first time ever writing one and that should be an indicator as to how badly I was treated and how terrible her customer service is. Good luck at this place this woman doesn't know when to stop because even after I paid my tab and walked out she followed me out to my car screaming at me that I am going to get pulled over by the police and they are waiting for me and she hopes I get a DUI. I then started to record her because I wasn't sure what she was going to do and why she would treat a customer this way. I nicely told her that she is the one who has had too much to drink and should slow down before she chases all her customers away. I just got into my car and left. That was by far one of the craziest experiences I have ever had in my life and I hope I never run into that crazy woman again. I wish I had at least one good thing to say about my experience but there sadly isn't. read more

This is my first review and after visiting and seeing the review below - I had to sign up! I love that children aren't allowed at this BAR....it is clearly a bar and not a restaurant. Are people really that stupid? The inside is nice and the patio is amazing - and the best I have been to or seen! I had a blast coming here with friends on a Friday night! We even came on their Wednesday wing night (10 cents a wing - who can beat that?!) They were delicious! The place was packed but the food didn't take too long to come out and was very hot! So, in my opinion, ignore that idiot first reviewer who apparently thinks a bar is a good place to bring their children and check this place out! read more

Im going to get back to this tomorrow. I'm pissed but thankful that God had control when I was presented with an 84 dollar tab! I will be posting the details. The food was not great. Terrace Gardens in Clairton PA puts this place to shame. I got robbed. This was my first nite out in Ohio. Arrive at the bar around 9:15 order 2 bud lights and shortly after ask for a menu to order food. We are informed by the owner who is the only person working that we can only order appetizers. We order french fries w bacon and cheese and a sampler platter that cost $9. We ask to order shots. My friend order Jack Daniels on ice and before I can say what I want the owner returns and pours us each a shot of that. I dont complain, I drink that. Next time we order lemons drops. There were at least 2 times we sat our empty beer bottles up to indicate we wanted two more beers and the owner would come running w more lemon drops. Not a big deal, we would then order our beers as well. All in all we had the food, maybe 10 bud lites and 10 shots between the two of us. She gives last call at 12:50am. I forgot to mention, she ask me in the beginning if i just wanted to run a tab so I said yes and gave her my credit card. I'm 48 yrs old and have done this many times in the past w/ no issues. NOw I will only use cash. I ask to close out my tab and my bill is $84 DOLLARS! I have gone out and Paid for two meals and drinks and shots for for two people in establishments much nicer than this place and usually my bill would be no more than about 45 or 50 dollars. I ask her about my bill, at which time she proceeds to loudly announce all of my purchases so the 8 people who are still in the bar can begin to add their drunken remarks. In my 20s and 30s i tended bar quite a bit and as I recall when a customer ordered a shot, unless they indicated a specific brand of alcohol or most times I would ask, they were served well alcohol. I just never took it upon myself to serve them top shelf. I dont even think thats what she did give us any way but told me thats what she does. Just serves up that top shelf at $4.50 a shot and i guess she didn't feel the need to tell us that. A guy who i believe to be a regular was taking video of the whole situation on his phone, which didn't bother me b/c I was calm and polite even when she was trying to bait me into an argument. I paid the RIDICULOUS bill and took the higher road and tipped her $10. The people around us were trying to be intimidating and I knew it was just best to pay, show some class and even tip.I think from the looks of that place she needs the money. It is nothing like the pictures on the website. No working draft beers, a margarita machine that looked like it hadn't been used in years. No beverage napkins served with our drinks and none anywhere in the caddies on the bar. Had to ask for napkins when we got our food which was average at best.. I am going to tell everyone and anyone who will listen about my experience in that dump. Sadly that was my first Ohio experience. On a good note that place does not set the bar to high to find somewhere better. I got robbed. I have seen Karma and man, this lady has some bad Karma coming. I feel better for getting this out and hopefully keeping some other unsuspecting person from encountering this place. God Bless. t read more

Wow! What a surprise to find this in the city of Ravenna. This bar had it all...a new large inside, HDTVs every where I looked, good food, cheap drink prices....and then the outdoor patio. The outdoor patio is beyond nice! It has a huge waterfall, an outdoor bar, tables everywhere, plus an area for cornhole! I ended up staying all day and now have my friends come back all the time. This is a MUST visit - even coming from Youngstown, Akron or Cleveland - you will love this bar! read more
