Person I talked to was nice but they forgot ALL of my sauces. Usually I wouldn't be too bothered but when you boast about your sauces and then also charge for them it's pretty disappointing to waste so much money. The restaurant wasn't busy either, parking lot seemed mostly empty and the drive thru had 1 other car in it. I went through the drive thru at 11:45pm when they close at midnight. Yeah, I was "that" guy, and man I was hungry! The guy at the window was polite when I paid. I had the privilege to stop by the original Slim Chickens restaurant today. My cousin's son highly recommended them to me. I found the staff to be very professional, polite, and attentive. They have a wide variety of sauces to toss your chicken fingers or wings in. I wanted them to not be tossed so I could taste the chicken finger myself before adding sauce. The breading was very flavorful. It's not dry. It is unusual for a restaurant to serve chicken fingers with a moist interior. The chicken sandwich with cayenne ranch was great. All the flavors complimented themselves. It is a family friendly atmosphere. This restaurant is definitely worth your time if you're in town. read more

Slims is one of the best places to get chicken wings or strips in the area. I have never had a bad experience at Slims. The atmosphere is relaxed and has a Delta vibe. I am not one to really ever leave reviews, but I feel the need to on this case. Don't get me wrong I love Slim Chickens, but this one in particular has horrible service/time management. I've had problems in the past with them being extra slow, so I decided to order for pickup hoping it would be faster. I arrived there about 5 minutes after the app said my food would be ready just to go inside and sit there for 20 minutes. There was nobody inside other than me and I waited 20 minutes. From order time to the time I got it, it had been 30 minutes. It was honestly absurd, and they also don't apologize about how long it took or offer you anything for the inconvenience . They act like it is completely normal. I will gladly now drive the extra 10 minutes to the MLK location instead of going to this one next time I want Slims. Didn't want to leave a bad review but this location is one of the slowest fast food establishments I have ever experienced on a consistent basis. read more

I love Slims! Everytime I go I get great service and excellent food except for today. My order was incorrectly taken and once I got to the window I could hear the employee talking bad about me. She said "you need to talk louder" and continued to announce my order to her crew, complaining. I was so disrespected. Ate here 8/11/10 Slim Chickens is exactly what it says it is. Its a chicken joint. I had chicken tenders, fries, and bread. The sauces were good, the fries well seasoned, and... yeah. It was good. I will say that the brine or marinade they do their chicken imparts a nice flavor, though the breading is of the sparse variety (as opposed to Zaxby's, which has a more substantial breading). Its good chicken. Its not terribly convenient to my apartment, so i probably won't go very often, but if i'm on College, and i feel the need to enjoy some chicken tenders, i'll go. I should note here that this review would have been four stars, but the guy working the drive thru window was frankly kinda surly and rude, and at 2 pm on a Wednesday, that sort of thing isn't necessary. But other than that, the food was good, and if you're in the neighborhood, and in the mood, you should check them out. read more
