First time to eat at a Slim Chickens. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. We ordered some Tenders, Wings, and a Mac and Cheese Tender Bowl! The employees were friendly and helpful. All the food was made to order and was brought to us hot and fresh. The Tender combo came with Tenders, Fries, Garlic Toast and a drink. We also got two of the Tender and Wing combo (Garlic Parm Chicken) which included Fries and a Drink. My grandson tried the Tender Mac and Cheese and enjoyed it very much. The last two times I've went for food, I had to wait 15 minutes to order and 20 minutes for my food.

I came to visit some friends ours in Killeen from Pflugerville, TX. They had us over for dinner. Needless to say I ate like two good size plates of dinner. My friend and his friends were taking about the chicken and waffles at this place. How they are regulars and how the staff knows what they mean by extra sauce (syrup). Needless to say, I had to Yelp this place out. As the night began to become present. I just couldn't get this place out of my mind. Chicken and waffles just sounded too delicious to pass up. So I asked my friend if we could go to this place. Let be known there was a long line of vehicles in the drive through. However, that didn't detour my tape worm. I had a mission to get my chicken and waffles on with extra sauce! For my to go experience with chicken waffles was excellent! The chicken was just right and the waffle was a perfect size. I just know next time I am going to be buying myself two orders because it was so delicious! We also ordered 10 of the strawberry short cake and one of the chocolate brownie deserts. Walked in and the restaurant is really nice tables were clean the menu is easy to read the appearance of the restaurant overall is nice. Now the most important part of course is the food which was really good tenders were fresh and wings were crunchy and the sauce was delicious. Good customer service. As far as the food the chicken was good and fries was horrible!

So far our experiences have been mostly good. The food always tastes good. It's always been made to order. We've only ordered drive through and each time we waited about 30 minutes from start to finish. Not crazy about that. Couldn't tell you if that's because food is made to order and it takes that long to cook? Or if it's because the staff is dragging their feet? And for this reason, we only go when we are NOT in a hurry and can afford to wait. I cannot speak to the inside of the restaurant, but from the drive through window, it seems clean. The staff at the window has been pretty "blah" They seem pretty discouraged. Again, since I go during my leisure time, I don't let this bother me. Now, if I went during my lunch hour, I may have a different response to this! Overall I think the food is tasty. Better than canes for sure. So me and the husband decided to try this place. We go in there is a couple in front of us the younger African American girl with glasses doesn't even great them, takes their order and gets the cup for the girl the cup falls to the side she doesn't even pick it up for the lady. We get to the register she makes no eye contact with us doesn't even say give me a moment walks off. The manager comes up she asks is this to go or for here? I look at my husband and say oh so everyone's rude here. Thankfully my husband is calmer then me. We get our food. Get home , tenders have no flavor , fries cold , gravy tastes old. I definitely prefer Busch's or Golden over this place. Service is absolutely horrible and the wait is too long for cold food. I would definitely like to talk to the owner. read more

The food is delicious but it's always an issue when o go here. The first time they charged me $48 for a chicken sandwich. My receipt had the correct price but two days later I was checking my bank statement and discovered that somehow they took $48 out of my acct. Very suspicious. The manager did refund my money.
