Decided to try this quick service chicken place in Vegas because I saw that they marinate their chicken and buttermilk and I've heard nothing but good things about that so I wanted to try it. I'd say I like it better than raising Cane's to be honest. But nothing beats my favorite chicken restaurants, epic wings! I was actually surprised about this spot. Just ordered it to try it out and never that I would become a fan. The food was warm when we received it. The chicken sandwich was so good the Mac and cheese was so good and there wings were great. I was not a fan of the mash potato's and the tenders were kind of dry and more breaded than chicken in my opinion. Their sauce was so good! The ranch was okay. Our food arrived at our table and was freshly made to order. The portion sizes are decent and we ended up needing boxes to go. I like that you can upgrade the side dish to customize your meal and they have a few sides to choose from. Overall the food was really good. Gave Slim Chickens a try for dinner last night and we enjoyed our meal and experience! We were first greeted by Kandice who took our order and shared a little bit about the menu and all of the different dipping sauces they offer. She was awesome! She even told us to download the app & scan the receipt code for a free brownie; which we did. This place is basically a direct competitor to Raising Cane's, but boy are they so much better (the best part being how many dipping sauces they offer in comparison to Cane's). We were told all the rubs/seasonings were done in house and it shows. The chicken was juicy inside, but crunchy & delicious on the outside. The fries were perfectly cooked with a tasty seasoning of their own. Their Texas toast was also really flavorful and cooked well. For a fast food place, they truly offer some delicious meals at an affordable price. We left full and for $20 total for 2 meals, which automatically comes with a regular sized fountain drink btw, we were pretty happy about the pricing. We chose to eat there. The inside was nice and clean with a variety of seating options. You can order at the counter like we did or order with one of their 2 digital order screens. They have a self-serve soda fountain as well as 4 types of iced tea. Their restrooms were also clean (1 women's, 1 men's). For an affordable fast food place, this was pretty dang good. Finally got around to trying this place and I am so glad that I finally did. Had to try the best of both worlds so I got the 5 and 5, wings and tenders. In today's age of shrinkflation, they did not get the memo here. I was expecting the chicken to be on the smaller side but it was a generous portion of food. For the price you really can't beat it. Everything was cooked and seasoned well, so the chicken was juicy and honestly the tenders didn't even need the sauce to taste good. First time at this newly chicken spot on Coronado in St rose very cool. Someone spent a lot of money making this place Slim Chickens. The two previous businesses have gone out of business when I first walk in there was a young man keith who walked me through the whole process of the menu he was incredibly knowledgeable. It's hard to find people like keith in today's marketplace. Back to the Food Paul keith recommendation since I just wanted to try it he recommended I get the three and three piece I didn't want french fries so you suggested the mushrooms. I gotta tell you the chicken fingers were lightly breaded not greasy and very juicy. I ordered the chicken wings. A little extra crispy as Keith recommended with buffalo sauce. They were out of this world. he also said that I should try the Cayenne ranch, which was amazing would definitely go back superior customer service. The assistant manager even came out and asked us. Canes stands no match! My friend from the east coast recommended this place heavy, and when someone recommends me a place, I'm always down to try. Upon walking in, the aroma of seasonings and fried goodness will flare up in your nostrils. My party and I ordered the tender meals, which come with fries and bread, and sides of the white Mac and cheese. Everything across the board was great. Seasoned chicken, fries and paired with creamy Mac and cheese will set you up for a comforting experience. Overall- 9/10. This was an okay place. Their wings were really good but the tenders and fries were not. I also thought their toast was too greasy. The wings remind me of chicken shack wings, if you like CS you will like these. The tenders fell flat and were way over cooked and rubbery-like. There is plenty of seating inside and the staff was really nice. However, one of the employees was arguing with other employees about taking her break, which really should have been worked out in the back away from customers. First time trying this place and WOW. We are throughly impressed. The food was delicious and the customer service was amazing!!! The space itself is new and extremely clean. It is very inviting and they have inside/outside dining space, self ordering kiosks and of course you can order at the counter or you can go through the drive thru . The staff were all very nice and even walked around to ask if all guests were well taken care of. Everyone was smiling and happy. We have felt very welcomed and appreciated. We have ordered a chicken sandwich , chicken tenders and a milkshake. The crispy chicken sandwich was sooo good and the chicken wasn't dry at all. So much flavor too! The tenders were juicy and the dipping sauces complimented them well. They use only 100% all-natural chicken. The chicken tenders are buttermilk marinated and hand-breaded and you can taste the difference. We definitely recommend them and in my opinion they are much better than Raising Canes . The chicken strips were so juicy! The wings were average which isn't a bad thing. I know if we ordered them tossed they would be much better with the sauce soaking into it. Our favorite sauce is the Cayenne Ranch followed by the Garlic Parmesan. The Honey Mustard is what you would expect. I definitely want to try some of the other sauces. Service was exceptional. Everyone was very helpful and they are the ones who suggested the Cayenne Ranch. So glad they did. This cozy little restaurant has very ample seating. Loved the booth seating. My wife and I hit the drive-thru and ordered the Cayenne Ranch Chicken Salad with fried mushrooms, a side salad, mac & cheese, and the strawberry cheesecake jar dessert. The woman at the window confirmed everything after I paid, then handed me a drink and a bag with one container -- big enough for a burger and fries but clearly not enough for what I ordered. I pulled into the lot to double-check, and sure enough, all I got was a chicken sandwich. Missing were the fried mushrooms, side salad, mac n cheese, and dessert. I walked inside and the dine-in server helped me immediately. She was great -- had the kitchen remake everything on the spot. We just came here for the first time for a football team event this week. We're not really a chain restaurant kind of family, but still can't believe we've never seen this place. If it wasn't for the event, who knows how long before we would have stopped in. Our team sat together and had our little arguments on which chicken chain restaurants were better once our food came out. As families, of course we're on the lookout for good quality with a good deal. This food was excellent and the service was there to match. The staff we met were young and seemed happy to be there, quick at their work and although they weren't necessarily waiters, rather just dropped food off at our tables and passed by nodding and asking if we were okay, they covered it all and handled our rowdy ones with a smile. So we were there with our football teams after their games.. three teams; 8-10y olds, 6-8y olds and 5-6y olds :) If you've been around even a little of that, you know we basically brought a hungry riot in for a late lunch/early dinner. Somehow the small team from the restaurant managed. Nothing broke, no one yelled, nothing spilled (inside, at least) and the kids were super happy. I didn't hear one complaint about the food from kids or adults. (I did forget to say no-pickles in my burger though, my fault.) Back to which chicken spots are better. If we're on the fence about where to go, this place and pricing is a deal. The kids got their meals through the team but the rest of us were new so we got a mix of things to try it all out. You have your choice to keep it simple or totally customize. Cayenne chicken was hot and just spicy enough to enjoy, batter covered the whole thing, fries were crunchy but not burnt, and bread was golden and buttery. Now we won't have a problem getting family-sized boxes and sharing. Every single person was happy with their food, not to mention the long lines of drink and sauce choices. Larry, the owner/manager walked around the whole time, helping expedite the orders, giving hi-fives out to the kids and telling us the story of the restaurant and their plans for more locations. He gave this place a great vibe, almost like a small business rather than a chain restaurant, so we're happy to support this place.
