If you're coming here for the first time, the burgers are an absolute must, and you have to order the onion rings they're some of the best around. First, the service was great. The guys who work there are super nice! The sandwich (Doobie) was tasty, except it's super messy. Don't go here if you're dressed decent. We saw it on a Shark Tank episode, so we thought we'd give it a try. The bathroom needed attention. It was out of toilet seat covers. They had trash all over the bathroom floor. I watched 3 employees go in there. I went to see. No one picked it up. It looks like the toilet hasn't been cleaned in forever. Ew! There were nasty looking rags on the floor around this big industrial air conditioner. It was very unappetizing. Then, why do we have junk chairs and basically garbage just stacked against the wall? Who owns this place and why are we okay with that? By the way, the wet floor around that is a hazard. The kitchen aesthetically looked awful and amateur. In the main dining room there are boxes stacked that contain cooking oil. I'd never bring anyone here if I had out of town guests. It's embarrassing. They were even out of lids for drinks. Who does the ordering? Is there even a manager? My kids have all worked fast food, and I'm glad they didn't get their training at a place like this. It has so much potential. Fat Shack was exactly what we needed on a Tuesday night. Their burgers are simple, classic, and grilled just right. We ordered the fries, onion rings, and jalapeño poppers, and every side was spot on. The real star of the meal, though, was the funnel cake bites. They were absolutely divine: warm, fluffy, and coated with just the right amount of sweetness. Paired with the chocolate sauce, they were the perfect way to end our meal. We were wanting burgers so tried Fat Shack for the first time. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The employee working welcomed us as soon as we walked in saying he would be right with us. He was super attentive, the only one working in the front. When he wasn't helping customers he was busy wiping down tables. We reviewed the menu. I decided on the Single Burger and my BF got the Classic, a little bigger. They have some cool sounding, creative sandwiches with chicken fingers, cheesesteaks, mac and cheese, mozzarella sticks etc. We decided to stick with the burgers but are curious about the Fat Sandwiches. Went last night and had the Fat Doobie and my friend had the burger. We split a fried oreo for dessert. First time here and food was made fresh and tasted very good. For 33.00 we ate pretty darn good. Floors weee wet due to the A/C being out and they had to put in a portable unit which made the floors slippery. When brought to attention of manager Tanner he immediately dried the floors. Tanner was personable and made the meal even better. There was some DoorDash coupon and I got 20 wings under $10!!! I'd been in the plaza but never to FS before. The sign was out but I managed. I went later at night so it took slight effort to find but now I know. I love that they're open later and appear to serve stoner type things lol. Insides cute. A diner vibe. The guy that helped me and was cooking had an electric energy and smile. Super pleasant experience. When I got home I tried a buffalo, it was the creeper kind of hot. Their ranch is just ok. Luckily I had leftovers from the place I just reviewed and it paired nicely. The lemon peppers a rub but I liked it. Next day the buffalo quieted down and I enjoyed them. It's like 5 days later and I still have wings. Don't judge me. I'm doing lemon butter and fresh ground smoked pepper on the last of the LP wings after retoasting them. My partner and I ate here because it was open late and the logo was cute. We had low expectations but the food is surprisingly not half bad at all. My partner liked her burger because it's a thin patty, smash burger style. She rated it 4/5. I also had some and liked it as well. The fries were solid, probably my favorite part. My Fat Doobie burrito was absolutely fire. It had every fried food I could think of in it and they somehow made it taste great. With a side of ranch, the textures and flavors go crazy. It didn't actually need extra sauce though since the honey mustard was great too. They also had no issue putting my mozzarella sticks on the side for me. The fried cheesecake was just okay. First time here and I I really enjoyed this place. We were greeted right away with very friendly service. The ambiance was chill, casual and laid back. The menu seems big but it's kinda the same ingredients re used into different stuff. I ordered 6 lemon pepper wings , they were fresh crispy and tasty, would order again. We also got a single cheeseburger, it was good , nothing special but did the trick. We topped it off with some cheese fries , also good but I wish I would have maybe got some bacon on them. While the restaurant may not look like much when you arrive the food shows you why this place is still open! They currently have burger and wing lunch specials. I got a single patty burger, generous amount of fries and fountain drink for only around $10. We also got an order of funnel cake bites that were delicious! He brought our food out and made sure we had everything we needed. He went above and beyond in his service and I'm mad that I didn't get his name. He has a ponytail, I think. Our first meal since we arrived in Las Vegas. Being a bit later in the night we were looking for somewhere close by, but also something different than the normal burger joint. This place was perfect. I'm sure this place gets really busy, and while there were other diners, the vibe was super chill and relaxed. The guy that helped us had a great energy. He was super friendly and very courteous. They have some very nice and unusual creations, I'm just not adventurous enough to try I went with a single angus burger with the works, skipped the fries and instead opted for a 20 piece bone-in chicken wings. (Half garlic-Parmesan and half lemon pepper. Everyone agreed that they preferred the lemon pepper over the garlic Parmesan. They weren't just better, but they were stand-alone outstanding. The lemon pepper flavor was perfectly balanced without being salty or over-seasoned. The wings were also very crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly without the meat being dry. The garlic Parmesan were also cooked perfectly, but the flavor tasted too vinegary for my liking. Although the burger was angus beef, I feel that the bun stood out more than the patty. This review is purely for the sake of my visit to get cheese fries. I drove an extra 18 minutes out of my way just to try these fries based on reviews, because I take my bad day cure-all comfort food gloppy cheese very seriously. The fries were hot and crispy. The kind of fries were the kind that are coated in something before being fried, only these were not spiced up like you would expect from traditional curly fries. I was a bit bewildered by the purpose coating them if it wasn't going to add spice. I prefer my fries without the crunchy addition, but that is a personal preference. For what it was, they were nicely done. Now for the cheesy topping. What we have here is not cheese whiz, so don't expect any extra fermented lactic acid tang. What we have here at Fat Shack is a cheddar cheese sauce, poured over. The sauce itself was quite good in consistency and quality, it just lacks salt. The lack of sodium and mildness of the cheddar unfortunately meant lack of obvious flavor in juxtapostion to the fries, so I suggest either adding salt yourself to bring out the cheese flavor or maybe they will see my opinion here and consider updating the recipe. lol What do I know? The service was fantastic, and my man at the counter took my extra extra cheese into consideration with a solid, friendly, "I gotchu." This place was very mid at best. As someone who's been to Fat sals multiple times I can't justify the lack of flavor of the sandwich here. The wings however were a different story. The atmosphere is nothing special but after all it's a grease hall and that's what you go for; good grease! The staff were super friendly and patient. My daughter ordered wings and macaroni bites. She gave the wings 8/10. Love that they fry them crispy. A lot of places don't so when they add the sauce the wings are soggy.
